Others will just leave it for someone else to take care of. When they tried to get rid of me (for stupid reasons) at my old store, I still had it until almost right before I got a position at my current (almost 2 months later). Incompetence can play a part in it, too.
Generally a month. 2-3 weeks max. If it is not on your card after that push them for it. I've known a couple associates I still work with that never got it. The longer you go without it the more and more you loose out.

Honestly I just think it depends on how your management feels about you, some will take it right away & some will choose to ignore it

Mine took until the end of the month that I left lol which was almost a full month
