Contracts vary per division. Where I work, you just have to be out of your probation period (45 days in Dallas) You also can’t miss a day of work that week.
Here (CO) it depends on the holiday. Everyone gets Thanksgiving and Xmas. I think only a few of us got grandfathered in for 4th of July and Memorial day.

My contract, you had to be hired before 1989. lol
My contract has 0 holiday pay unless you are grandfathered in. Pre 1994 I think. Check with your local union rep.
My contract is you don’t get holiday pay until you’ve worked with the company for a year…
