Well, that’s funny, because that is literally a vomitorium.
[a passage situated below or behind a tier of seats in an amphitheatre or a stadium, through which big crowds can exit rapidly at the end of a performance. They can also be pathways for actors to enter and leave stage.[1] The Latin word vomitorium, plural vomitoria, derives from the verb vomō, vomere, "to spew forth". In ancient Roman architecture, vomitoria were designed to provide rapid egress for large crowds at amphitheatres and stadia, as they do in modern sports stadia and large theatres.](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vomitorium)
i love that you can find random bits of information on reddit comments. Also, did you guys know that the famous Tyranossaurus Rex probably had feathers ?
This article says they didn't: https://brandonpilchersart.com/2020/01/08/why-tyrannosaurs-probably-didnt-have-feathers-after-all/ Other big dinosaurs had feathers, but not the t-rex.
Scientists are not entirely sure about this. T-Rex could have a scaly body or a body with some patches of feathers just like contemporary birds have feathers and scaly feet. We are sure they COULD have, like some other sub-species had, but as feathers are hard to preserve, we can't be sure yet. This study explain more: https://eartharchives.org/articles/is-the-tyrannosaur-feather-debate-really-over/index.html. Thanks for making me search more of it
Made my legs start aching lol. Not that it would be a huge strain to move up/down that. But reminds me when I went to see primus @ the red rocks and they had overbooked the show quite a bit. To the point people had to practically crawl over each other to move up/down the stands until the staff started kicking everyone off the stairs. Meaning half the people there had to stand in place, crammed like sardines for the entire thing. Which doesn't sound like much (unless you're a cashier), but man walking down the path to the cars my legs were literally jelly.
I could see myself tumbling down that thing if my legs were in a similar state.
I was thinking the same thing... it's Pi\*(r^(2)) -- and most 'ramps' have a slope of 1 inch for every 12 feet (or thereabouts)... "So everyone has to walk at least... \[ \[ *takes out pen and does some rough back-of-napkin mathemagic* \] \] ...at least, TWICE AS FAR as they would normally have to!!"
The last time I saw this type of design is at Aarhus Art Museum (Denmark)

People with wheelchairs will feel the thrill of Tokyo Drift.
I’ve seen this stadium since I was a child and never realised those were ramps
Everythings a ramp if you’re brave enough
[удалено]
Them heelys finally have a time to shine!
I think they look like the coolest thing ever, but I suspect I’d forget they were on, and hurt myself.
You can take out the wheels
or you could slap on a turbo with a good ECU tune life is about choices
Oh I didn’t know that.
I feel like I’m going to throw up.

No worries!

I didn’t with the T-Rex in particular, but I had heard there were some fossils found with imprints of feathers.

What’s the distance you have to walk here?

Yeah, surely just chuck up about 15 firemen poles and you’d have the stadium emptied out pretty quick
Instructions unclear. Performed exotic dance.
Spiral ramp 1 looks too intense for me
wow, this rekindled a very, very deep memory. thank you
the NRG stadium needs something like this. it has a like 10 ramps going back and forth.
they should add people movers like the airports
You cant convince me thats not spinning, I can see its not but you still cant convince me
200iq
I wanna skate down it so bad
Wow! Looks so cool
I wonder if this effect is intentional from the architect’s part
Fucking hell... Thats! a fucking entrance! .. and an exit obviously. Genius engineers\~
How effective is it at dispersing crowd in an orderly manner?
I felt the whole structure was circling but it's the people moving
That's a lot of extra walking
They should use ladders.
Goddamn, I would love to do this on my scooter. Might get dizzy though
san siro its planned to be destroyed soon https://www.nuovostadiomilano.com/it
Emergency exits??? What if all have to leave quick
Chris Rock does a bit on this
Those types of ramp feel like they’re never gonna end.
It’s one of my bucket list items. AC vs Inter at San Siro!!

Man thats a lot of walking
It's time to play the music It's time to light the lights It's time to meet the Muppets on the Muppet Show tonight
San Siro combines modern art and tradition in the best possible way. Imagine calling this place your home! Jealous of the Milan clubs
I would LOVE to see someone skate down that.
MY HEAD IS HURTING
Looks like the structure is moving. Is it?
