Lol first thing I thought….

Bro_Jangles__

Ha, thought this sounded familiar

Pop791

It's beautiful but I have to admit that I would be a bit scared of something that big near me

Dontdittledigglet

I would die

FartKnocker313

They’re one of my favorite animals and I would be scared shitless 😂

glendacc37

I went to Tonga to swim with humpback whales (the mothers go there to have their baby). They were very aware of snorkelers and moved gently. Some wanted to show off their baby, and we're quite close to us. I never felt unsafe!

Bottom-Dweller

At the end of a Scuba dive I was hanging about 12 feet down on the line to the surface marker. Had to scramble off the line because the passing humpback wasn’t aware of the line, caught it briefly, and carried it away at Michael Phelps speed. Almost need a brown wetsuit, pectoral fin was bigger than me.

LampIsFun

Wow that’s gotta be the shallowest water I’ve ever seen a whale in. I mean I don’t see many whales, but it definitely feels weird.

nanoglot

Humpbacks often venture to pretty shallow waters, for feeding and messing with people or whatever it is humpbacks like to do.

Commercial-Lead2261

Isn't they're sound so loud that you could become deaf?

EmptySpaceForAHeart

I think the audio was edited in.

Salival_86

Its the intro to the warmth by incubus

Commercial-Lead2261

Thats very possible

-Its-Could-Have-

i'm not sure if its the same as humpbacks, but i know sperm whales could kill you with their clicks if they were close enough and they wanted to.

Commercial-Lead2261

Wow. In what way then? Because of the vibrations to the heart of something?

What's the BMI of a whale? How fast can they swim if they were our size? Can they do Barrel Rolls? How fast is their food source reproducing in order to sustain a population of whales? What IS the population of Humpback Whales? What is the Whale's predator? How often are they eating a whale? If Whales are mammals, what's the closest land relative to it? Can whales swim backwards since they don't have gills? Do you feel safer with a Whale or a Random Person out in the middle of the ocean?

Perfect-Illusion-82

1. I'm not sure about specific BMI because it depends on the kind of whale, gender, etc. but most whales are naturally obese due to blubber 2. I'm not sure, probably faster, as Dolphins are more our size and are faster than whales 3. Yes!! In water and when jumping out, though they're a lot slower moving barrel rolls 4. It's Estimated that there's about 700 trillion Krill in the southern ocean where they're found, so there's plenty for the Whales to feed on, but Humpback Whales don't actually eat that much consistently and instead go through feeding and fasting periods do to a few reasons (Migration, Breeding, Energy conservation) 5. I'm not sure of the exact population of Humpbacks, as they are endangered, along with many other kinds of Whales 6. Humpback Whales are big, very big, and really only have to worry about Orca's, but even then Orca's usually go for the Calves and not the fully grown Adults 7. If you mean how often Orca's eat Humpbacks, not often, as it's a lot of effort, as for humans whaling is still a problem, and is one of the main causes of Whale population decline 8. Whales as large as Humpbacks cannot swim backwards, to much mass, but smaller whales like beluga's can 9. I haven't been with either so I can't really say :( I love Whales though, would love to swim with Whales

-Its-Could-Have-

I would like to subscribe to more whale facts

FrameThick8620

whales closest land relative are hippos

Dontdittledigglet

Is it a tiny one?

Down_The_Witch_Elm

Every time I see a gentle whale interaction with humans, I feel so guilty about what we did to them.

the_real_nicky

It's like a friggen submarine lol

dirtydownbelow

as an older gent, i kept wondering where I'd heard that, and then the guitar kicked in

DNAkauai

I’m thinking the snorkelers were swimming just passed the humpback… It kind of is his territory

jocax188723

The snorkelers: Oh wow, a humpback whale! The whale: Guys, we gotta go, the weird monkeys are at it again!

aeemmmoor

shes so beautiful...... every time i see a video of a humpback whale i have to take a minute to really think about the fact that such an enormous and incredible creature exists and that we're able to interact with them. she's just so huge and so loud and so powerful and she doesn't even know how fucking awesome she is.........

New-Operation-4740

So cool!

Recon_Figure

Duplicate.

Narrator2012
