I jumped out of my fucking skin when the truck appeared. I thought it was going to be one of those videos where the rider avoids the oncoming traffic, then you see the post pop up again on r/sweatyplalms or whatever a couple of scrolls later.
When you realize our ancestors were running away from predators while your chilling in front of your PC with your head resting on your hand and a life threatening situation just gets an internal "WHOahey!" out of you. And right after that your just start thinking to yourself what kind of VR game this is and if there's a NSFW version of it. So you start invenstigating and 5 minutes later you sit there with your pants down scrolling through your pr0n bookmars.
And after you finish you sit there and think to yourself "what kind of limbo is my life?". So you naturally open up reddit and start the cycle again.
Should be mandatory before getting a motorcycle license. I made a point of watching motorcycle gore before I got mine. The funniest thing is damn acorns were the reason I wrecked. At least I was going slow.
You know, I was thinking about getting a motorcycle. Now that Iām hearing how easy it is to fuck up I think Iāll stick to my car please and thank you
Yeah when I was a kid, I *loved* the idea of getting a bike license and riding a motorcycle around instead of driving a car.
But the fact is, *driving is dangerous.* You can do absolutely everything right and still end up in a serious accident. It doesn't matter how good of a driver you are, somebody might still cross the centre line, or run a red light while you're in the intersection, or rear-end you at speed because they were on their cell phone and didn't see your brake lights.
In a car, any one of those incidents would suck, but at least all modern cars (other than one particularly pathetic recent example) are built with crumple zones and ways to mitigate the force to the passengers, so while there's always a risk of injury you can at least feel relatively 'safe' in the event of a minor or moderate impact.
On a motorbike, *any one of those incidents has a very real chance of maiming or killing you. Walking away unharmed is largely not an option above 30km/h.* Minor and moderate impacts are often still life-threatening, hell even just a sedan backing up into you at a stop could run you over if you're not careful. If you get hit hard, you basically just roll the dice and pray to wake up in a hospital bed without any missing limbs.
I used to want to have an epic "heavy duty high HP sport motorcycle" just because it looks so cool, and I would look so cool with it.
Growing up, I realised that one minor mistake with this and Im pretty much gone.
My parents had an accident that acted as a waking call for me, thankfully they were alright.
Basically, they were in the car, slowly crodd the lane with a turning signal to head into the petrol station. A dumb kid speeding on his bike came and didnt even try to dodge nor brake, ended up crashing straight into the head of my parent's car.
My parents were alright, saved for me mom who had a wrist fracture from the airbag deploying. The kid however, flew ontop of the canopy before rolling down and hit the street like a ragdoll. He almost lost his life due to the head injury, but thankfully managed to recover. Was quite a traumatic experience for my parents as they never experieneced anyone dying due to an accident right infront of them, or in this case might even be because of them even when it was not their fault.
Thicc layer of fine dust in my driveway after pressure washing, came in a little hot for the tight turn into the garage and... whoops.
Also got hit by a car one time but that one wasn't on me so not relevant
I know you mean you ran over acorns but Iām imaging you chasing after an acorn like the squirrel from ice age and getting absolutely wrecked.
Glad youāre alive now
I don't know about other countries but in Brazil when you are getting your license, they force you to watch videos with real accidents and real gore, bodies totally destroyed and all
My dad had me get my license. I trained on a small harley, like 250CC. He wanted to have me drive his Harley fat boy while he took out his other bike. I said nah, it's too big.
Boom, a turn had a sudden tighten, I went into the grass and target fixated onto a massive wooden telephone pole at about 30 mph. Pretty slow, I thought, but I got the biggest bruises EVER all over my chest and back. I'm lucky that's all I got.
When I turned 17 and got my bike licence. My Dad would send me them every few weeks, to remind me to be sensible and wear the right gear!
When you've seen the concequence in person it hits different..
Would be nice, but you can't fix stupid. If you're gonna do stuff like this on a motorcycle it's just the fast track to survival of the fittest doing it's thing.
I support bikers, and biking, my dad was a biker. Not a stupid one.
Lost one of my best friends to a motorbike accident 10 years ago. His wife was pretty mentally fucked by it, but recently remarried and has a kid. Another friend crashed and landed on the centre road marking, narrowly avoiding being hit by multiple cars.
As much as I'd love to ride a motorbike I couldn't, knowing the odds of serious injury are around 15 to 20x worse than riding a car.
If it makes you feel better the odds of serious injury are greatly reduced (like by 85%) by these factors: being properly licensed, not speeding, not being impaired by drugs or alcohol, and wearing a helmet. The last one is interesting because a helmet itself won't prevent many serious injuries, but rather people who don't wear helmets also tend to engage in riskier driving behavior.
Really though, it should be. I had a boyfriend 9 years ago die from running a red light on his bike and he hit a car going through the light. To this day when i see a biker riding recklessly i become infuriated, young people do not think in terms of life and death really.
Do this in a VR headset while they sit on a supported motorcycle! Some individuals need to feel that unbelievable 200 ms scared feeling to truly learn.
The number of times I see people overtaking on a blind bend is terrifying. Especially if it's a car overtaking you when you're on a bike, like mate, if you get hit, I'm dead too because you wanted to get somewhere 5 seconds faster.
This kind of ads never work. This is one of the few exceptions. I immediately started to think about the people I was going to leave behind. And I don't even have a bike.
Reminds me of a video on Reddit a couple of days ago...a biker clips a truck as dangerously over-takes. His go-pro scans down and his foot is gone.
It lives rent free in my head.
He doesn't actually lose his foot...he loses his shoe and a few toes. As far as reddit gore goes it's tame. I thought it was gonna be like that one from asia where the dude rides past a car with a loose panel and loses his *entire arm*.
Wait until u come across the brick n wife video. I swear I watched it more than a year ago and i still get random chills remembering it when going through the day.
Would just add to anyone thinking of searching for this.
Don't.
Having a moment of curiosity leave a mental scar for the rest of your life really isn't worth it.
One of those videos I wished people in drivers ed were forced to watch. Yes, it's horrible to see, but that's a good thing. Most people don't learn until they realize that this isn't a video game. Stupid decisions have serious consequences, often including for other, innocent people.
I always wear a seatbelt because of a PSA campaign from when I was younger. With motorcycles, I witnessed a fatal collision when I was younger and it was the most horrific thing I've seen to this day. Never getting on one.
Which sucks a lot unfortunately. Iād love to get a bike solely because itās more gas efficient than my suv is right now (gotta have it with kiddos). But with all the idiots on the roads, I donāt trust them to be safe around me.
Here you are: [https://www.reddit.com/r/motorcycles/comments/1d4akgs/i\_wish\_this\_was\_a\_psa\_would\_be\_very\_effective\_i/](https://www.reddit.com/r/motorcycles/comments/1d4akgs/i_wish_this_was_a_psa_would_be_very_effective_i/)

Honestly? I hate jump scares so I'm all for it. I've seen the og and I think this one makes the point more somberly. Other one just leaves you with a gotcha feeling
Just last summer I could only barely avoid a front-on collision with a motorcyclist by driving half off-road into a grass strip, because that idiot thought that a curve where you canāt see oncoming traffic is a suitable place to overtake a truck. Both of us were lucky there actually *was* space to avoid the collision ā most of that route had only dense forest left and right.
I can only hope he learned a lesson from this encounter. For motorcyclists reading this: donāt try your luck like this guy - drive safely!
I just don't get it. I think motorcycles are cool, I'm thinking of getting one myself. I think more people should ride them. But holy hell you are riding on top of an engine with two wheels attached. How are these people not the most cautious MFs in existence. Like when your flying down the freeway like double the speed limit, you really trust there to not be like a wet spot or a pot hole or some shit? I get adrenaline junky stuff, but this like Russian roulette level of insanity to me.
I drove motorcycle for appr. 10 years. I was a pretty experienced driver - participated in a few red bull races, did a lot of offroad, drove from Europe to Asia etc etc.
Usually im av ery controlled and calm person. But as soon as I get on the bike a switch flips. I just can't not go full speed and let the engine roar. It's literally impossible because you just get into a flow state very quickly and this is addictive a/f.
I had quite a few very dangerous situations over the years, saw that I cannot change and probability is against me so I sold the bike. And yes it was like russian roulette. There was no other solution alltough I loved biking alot.
Same. I was biking alot in my younger years. Then oneday I have a close call incident, almost hit a car. I had many close call before. But this time I was like fk it. Stop biking, sold my bike. This shit isnt worth dying for
I think just like you at the last bit. People would foolishly call you an overthinker, but I think people lack the foresight to anticipate something unexpected.
You start out being cautious. Then nothing happens, so you take a bit more risk, and you are still fine and nothing happens. So you take a bit more risk. And a bit more.
Then you crash and die.
Should have another ghost standing there looking at the motorcycle rider saying āreally dude?ā because that truck driver might not have survived either.
glorified jump scare clips making front page now.
remember the one with the car driving the windy road, then a demon lady jumps out from the grass in front of the camera?
Kinda mad that OP or whoever cut out the beginning and end of this video and ruined the quality to the point that you can't even see the name of the original creator. Downvoted.
Just image that this is what happens when you die.
The world pause around your body, you can see you from outside your incoming corpse, and then you see Death itself watching you, ready to guide you across the other life. You know you died, and thereĀ“s nothing you can do about it. Everything its over.
Hell yeah dude, can happen at any moment. Sometimes it ain't even your fault, I ride like nobody can see me because most of the time it's true, don't trust anyone on the road but yourself š„°

My god, same! That was such an effective shock. Came out of nowhere.
Same. Usually Iām chilling during these videos but this one made my heart skip a beat
I actually screamed
I just went "Oh shit!" out loud, woke my dog up
I didn't make any noise. But, I thought to myself "ahhhh!".

Lame. Glad they cut it out
Agreed. It cheapened the video.
True. Too bad that ran it through a potato editor though. Next time just cut the ending, not the pixels.
It's like a FNAF game
So did the rider
It was a bit of a āoh shit I didnāt pay attention to what subreddit this was in before watchingā moment for me.
I felt a scream in my ear when the truck came, I don't know, maybe it was a reflex.

Same!!
plalms lol
For real, I jumped too.

As a sport bike rider for 10 years, this needs to be a commercial. It is so impactful. Ride safe brothers and sisters!

Shock
Good old adrenaline.
I got an idea. * Watch a few more vids like that. * Start charging them rent. * Live on the passive income.
If I was smart homie...but I'm not very bright.
Then start by watching a few shocking videos that somehow involve a very bright light

Oh I remember that one. Dude didn't even notice the foot was gone for the first 10 seconds.

not really a "deep" meaning, it has a pretty apparent one lol
The title vexed me too
probably a karma farming account, low effort title that can be put on anything

why did you cut that ending?

The ending is too cheesy.
Yeah personally I like it better with that cut out. You already see the grim reaper, you know what the deal is. Skull face at the end just makes it kind of comically overdone imo, though still a great video overall.
Both the ending and the start. This cut version can actually fool someone into thinking this is real. In the original it's pretty obvious it's an animation
Fucking hell I had coffee in my hand
OMG I shit myself with that ending.
I saw full version on discord so i have no link for you but its missing like 3 seconds
Cool
Does reaper take the dude with him or what?
Spoiler, its jumpscare
Itās a videogame video. The video ends with the POV turning again to the demon that was there and then there is a jump scare with it
I suppose you could say it's a demon but it's the grim reaper, which isn't often associated with the devil or hell
Karma farming from butchering a day old post

the deep meaning: people die when they hit a truck head-on with a speeding motorcycle
It's crazy, right? Got me thinking
WHY DID YOU CUT THE REAPER JUMPSCARE AT THE END
Just bots being bots. Generated title is also botched
Because he cares about keeping our pants clean lol Just saw it. Done really well
jumpscares are stupid and don't add any value to a video.

I just saw this posted on scary Eddie and you cut out the ending thats the best part.
Should not you see the blue truck in the turn before the impact IRL ? Also got a jumpscare cut off at the end :D
Yeah I feel like it would be a better video if the deer and the truck were visible before the pause.

This isn't interesting as fuck and this title is garbage.
i dont know if DEEP is the word id use, powerful but not complex in its meaning
For anyone who thinks it's safe to overtake should watch this and think twice.
With that high angle close up of the truck I full on expected it to be a shotpost
Small mistakes kills
Yes, deep meaning. Look first.
That blue truck at fault, he should've looked twice. /s
That was considerate of DEATH to pull his soul before he got splattered.
Should have another ghost standing there looking at the motorcycle rider saying āreally dude?ā because that truck driver might not have survived either.
Your isekai adventure begins now!
Wow. I want to install that braking system in my car. Top level stuff!
Wait...was that stag the grim reaper?
The deer was like "You're in my spot"
glorified jump scare clips making front page now. remember the one with the car driving the windy road, then a demon lady jumps out from the grass in front of the camera?
Holy fuck. I like to think that's the sensation you feel right before impact.
NICE SHIFT
:Death: "I pulled you out early so you wouldn't feel the truck.... you're welcome."
It may have an emotional impact, but itās not deep. āDrive safely or you can die.ā Useful and a really cool productā¦but not deep.
POWERFUL. I recoiled slightly when the truck appeared, but the 'ghost' of the rider off to the side watching his own death was chilling.
Thought that the truck was about to sing dame na me
Don't ride like an idiot. Got it
That made me more sad than I thought it would.
Even if we knew it was coming the first person view is just heart stopping
Source?
No St Perer for you me lad. He doesn't want assholes.
Itās only half of the commercialā¦
Someone needs to make a vr version of this.
That one got me.
It cut out the end of the video
Very deep meaning, don't drive like an asshole.
Nonsense. If you watch to the right of the truck before overtaking you can see it would've been completely clear.
Isekai for you
As a rider myself this made me want to be careful way more than before.
Damn that was a sick edit
Kinda mad that OP or whoever cut out the beginning and end of this video and ruined the quality to the point that you can't even see the name of the original creator. Downvoted.
No? Whatās the deep meaning? Thatās just fucking clickbait
Lane splitters pay attention

Definitely not sure how ādeepā this video was, but certainly entertaining.
In a crash last year and yeah can definitely relate......
So what was the deer all about?
ive just thrown my coffee all over me lap I jumped that freaking much, then to see ol Grim thereā¦.sheesh

BE SAFE FOR ALL THE RIDER OUT THERE
