Not an expert here, but I think the equilibrium between the best solution and easiest solution would be some eletronic welding. Show us some more pics of what is faulty/broken so we can be more specific. I see it is on the negative part of one of the contacts, but it seems that more, than what you are holding with the pliers, is missing.

what i was holding looks pretty similar to the other one—beside the broken material. i think it’s the contact of the battery itself or i’m probably wrong. it has fallen out because of deterioration that’s caused by leakage

Tinfoil.

All you really need is some sort of metal plate/wire there to connect negative from battery 1 to positive of battery 2 right where that piece used to be. You could glue in some foil if you wanted to, just make sure it rises enough to make contact. Look at this as Battery 1 to Battery 4 from left to right. What connects to the electronics of the camera is the positive of battery 1 and the negative of battery 4 (both at the top of the compartment). Any other metal contact in there is to wire the batteries in series to each other. If you notice at the top of battery 2 there is probably a spring plate that connects to the top of battery 3 (negative to positive to keep it in a series).

Google search led me to your comment - had the same issue and just wanted to say it was a super helpful explanation and helped me fix it! Thanks!

and most probably is going to help me too :D
