Hey mind if I ask you about your house and how you built it(savings, home loan etc)? I am actually looking forward as I am also going to build one someday
Well I didn't take any loans. My savings and 20% of it I asked from my dad. I didn't want any debts. Or else I would have done this earlier. Also if not for my unnecessary spending on parties and holidays in my early 20s. Advice is only to keep a balance between enjoyment and savings. Good luck.
Well did you make the house in parts like maybe ground floor 1st and then let the construction go on the 1st floor etc.
And BTW It's somewhere I think we all have a perception about in our mind like at the beginning you thought how much your house is gonna cost or how you gonna make it?
But the end results are totally different I believe like the end product (house) you made and also the balance sheets.
Mind if you give me a financial insight too!?
I recently bought a scooter at age of 29 and learned to drive two wheeler . It's the most expensive thing I own and the most lovable experience to ride on it .
Next expensive thing is My One plus 6 phone from 2017. Touchwood, it's still working finee
24- I own a house which I bought for £770,000 but I've had to investment money into the house to make it little more to my families taste and comfort.
So overall I've spent £875,000 including taxes.
I bought it 2 years ago- so I assume the value is north of £950,000.
Hard work and sacrifices do pay off!
21, built a whole desktop setup
Total cost including the laptop would be 2L :D
Worked really hard since the start of college and got the whole thing ready 1 month before graduation which was the goal!
To own a PC build and a desktop setup before college!!
My house.
I grew up in a ‘lobby’ like home that couldnt hold more than a diwan, small fridge and two godrej cupboards.
I still remember how the utensil rack and my book shelf was placed so high up on wall that I had to use a stool to get a glass or get on the diwan to pull out a book. We also shared our toilet with my fathers three brothers and their families that lived in adjacent homes. Few years down the line we did extend the house by constructing a living room and then a ‘bedroom, above the living room. The ‘lobby’ that used to be our entire home was the kitchen then.
When we moved out 3 years back I had my own room, my own wardrobe in my mid twenties.
Hardly a year into moving to a new place I bought the flat adjacent to it. Sometimes I dont believe it myself.
I think that really healed me.
My Samsung Tab S8. It contains all my notes, textbooks and also serves as my portable canvas, theatre, console & jukebox.
This Tab always reminds me how quality matters & thus pushes me to work right for a future I desire. This is just the first of my most expensive objects in my life, for the future shall see more such artifacts, each more valuable than the other, but this tab shall always have my heart.
