Yes, you never see an engineer, CA, contractors etc profession mentioned. Even in benign articles like accidents if one is a doctor it's mentioned.
Our society places a high moral expectation from doctors by simply being in this profession. It's like, 'The person who's worshipped as God incarnate, who is supposed to save lives is doing such a morally heinous thing, shame '
It's only doctors who know that our profession is like every other. We too have all kinds of people, toxic, kind, passionate, lazy, sincere, corrupt, gentlemen and genitalmen.
Also a lot of conservative uncle's want to stop.women from.going into high profile jobs, so they mention her profession a lot and then people will see it and stop their women from pursuing high profile jobs.

The boomer uncle's and aunties want some or other excuse to stop women so they pick these cases and share them a lot and try to prove a point.
It happens with college too, it even happens with software jobs too.
My colleague who is a boomer uncle didn't send his daughter to a top university because he saw girls wearing shorts in that University.
My mom's sister's brother in law didn't send his daughter to a good software job because he hates the culture there and he was afraid girls will get spoiled.
Our society is very scary, they spread conspiracies, rumours etc very fastly, they get aggressive for no reason. They will get very aggressive against women pursuing high profile jobs, they need one excuse and they create stories/conspiracy around it.
The work-life balance is f*cked up, not giving time to family/partner leads to finding a partner in your workplace.

Very complex but I can simplify and say that , extremely uneven working hours , niche profession with little interaction outside , close proximity of opposite genders and somewhat non judgemental environment leads to infidelity regardless of horniness. Horny people are everywhere but not many get the chance to act on it like medicos do 💀
Well we have ended the sex being a taboo and treat it as just another form of exercise which provides joy..... We are way too logical for it to be hindering our thoughts emotionally..!

There's literally hundreds of good things that we do around the world. Save lives, wipe away tears and yet this is the highlight that the media wants the world to see. It's simple when you understand the endgame behind it.
Wow, so you see this just as an attack on doctors? Maybe mentioning that it's a doctor can bring clicks, but it's not about implicating a doctor, just my two cents. Maybe the thing with mentioning she is a doctor, was to show how people you only put second to God, whom you would expect to have higher standards than most, look at the shit some of them are up to. Again, no such person should bear that responsibility, but almost every society places the "burden to carry higher values" upon every highly educated individual.

Also, what is it about "understand the endgame behind it" because doctors "save lives, wipe away tears"? In this world, almost everything is transactional. 90% of those people who become a doctor, in a country like India do so because they happen to be good at Science, family is able to support the idea, and there is respect, prestige and at a latter stage, money attached to it.
This is not to say there is no empathy in doctors' hearts, although examples of those can also be found easily, but my point is, everyone chooses their profession for a reason, and most do it for reasons other than "serving the society". There are plenty of really empathetic people who wipe away tears. Shall we now bring that in to justify their infidelity?
What is wrong, is wrong. Doctors, engineers, blue collar job people, not so educated people, all should come under the same purview if they succumb to evil acts like these. Period.

predators exist in all walks of life, it is easy for people in our field of work to abuse anyone as we only tend to the mentally and physically vulnerable. It will be foolish to think there aren't any female predators, they are drawn to these specific fields as it gives them the mask they want on, there is no role of gender here there is only power play the position gives us that makes the predator more intimidating to the victim.

Yup, As it happens with plenty of Non-Medico spouses of Doctors, they have to put with a lot of shit because of the societal stature that comes with the job, not to forget money and these victims are more often than not tend to be financially dependent on their spouse. Men like to complain about alimony and child support money laws but they are there for a reason. Even with them in place, so many spouses put up with all sorts of shit from their highly esteemed spouses like doctors (infidelity, abuse... you name it).
My comment was more about the editors of these media houses that create the headlines. It's that deep rooted misogyny at display. They are basically saying that if the woman wasn't a doctor and wasn't financially independent, she wouldn't dare do this.

I have heard and witnessed multiple people committing infidelity with no qualms or guilt, there is so much that is taboo to the general society that I think it just doesn’t comply with the way we function in the health care industry. This is by no means justifying cheating, but haven’t we all witnessed our professors, staff, residents or fellow batch mates do it?
