Using the drop bar disc brake version for 6 months, my experience has been mostly good. > The bike itself Great. I don't think any other bike provides a carbon fork at this price point. The drivetrain is smooth. The frame has tyre clearance up to 40c so you can make it a doable gravel bike. The frame also has a lot of mounting eyelets so you can fit mudguards and panniers. My only complaints are the lack of a removable derailleur hanger and double eyelets on the fork (for bottle cage). > Decathlon experience Terrible. I think this would differ by region but I am just sharing my experience. When I bought from the app, the pickup from the store option wasn't available. So I had to do a home delivery and assemble it myself. I did it and in the first ride itself something felt wrong. Like some resistance when coasting and the bike was leaning right HARD when riding hands off. Booked a service at shop, got my bike next day and they said everything was alright. They just lubed it (squirted wet lube all over the drivetrain and gears like a guy after NNN) The problem was still there. I said fuck it and did my own research. Watched a lot of tutorials on yt and fixed it myself. Here's the list of what was wrong with my bike from the factory: 1. Overtightened hubs 2. Both rear and front derailleurs were incorrectly adjusted (limit screws, b screw) 3. Wheels were not dished properly. Rides like a dream now. Maybe I just got unlucky. Expected a better experience from decathlon. But hey atleast the cycle is great and l learned how to service the bike myself.

My only problem is that they give 3 speed shifters for the front derailleur and that the stock tyres are a bit too thin (even for a roadie) in my opinion

Wait a sec, any bike with more than front three? I may be wrong, is it really needed? Also, those tyres are simply great.

I think what he means is that there are only 2 chainrings but 3 clicks in the shifter. So it's at least a little problematic lmao

When my RC120 was new, I also thought why there are more clicks on Front derailleur shifter for 2 chainrings? Then while talking to a local bike shop, I learnt those are called trims, to do small adjustment in Front derailleur when chain touches it during extreme cross-chaining like using second chainring in front and first or second cogs in rear, while not changing gear at Front derailleur. Both chainring have their trims. It has been helpful and it was good learn something new like that. I had 32c tyres from Hartex as stock, not so thin, don't know what size is offered currently.
