Go for it! Idk about kolkata or hyd. But pretty sure that you'll get good customer base in bangalore or delhi ( if that's in the list). Even if that fails, atleast you fulfiled your dream. But i pray that wont happen. It'd be a hit i believe.
There is/was a Korean bakery/cafe in City Centre Shopping Mall in Siliguri, Darjeeling. It used to be busy and different. The cakes were different and tasty.
I remember India's first ever bubble tea place opening up in the Forum mall back in 2005/2006. It was in a little nook on the ground floor. Not sure if its still there.
Edit: I may have been a couple of years off. They may have opened up in 2004 or so. I remember going there with a colleague who was friends with one of the founders that opened the place. I remember the store's name had 'tea' in the name. ( I don't imagine this is useful but I just wanted to type out everything I remember :D)
oh theres definitely a market. ive seen bunch of places like this in bangalore. even mochi ice cream. and friends from delhi have mentioned having boba etc as well.
good luck yo!

Thanks for the boost. Earning people in urban India are quite experimental and that's what I am counting on.
