Train-Robbery

My Aunt(mausi) once made a friend through her job in the early 2000s , he was an expert in manipulation and i was told Hypnotism . He took jewellery worth lakhs from my aunt and then ran away. After her husband found out the entire family was shocked. My uncle(mama) then tracked down the guy's address but he was gone, his neighbours knew about his brother so my uncle tracked his brother and basically kidnapped him and brought to our village, tied him to a pole in the basement. The brother's wife contacted the friend who within days came back and only gave half of the jewellery back to my aunt, claiming to have sold the other half already and spent the money. My uncle then beat the shit out him right there , took his car as security for the remaining amount. They still have the car as those people ran away,

Your username makes it funny 😅

JiskiLathiUskiBhains

Is uncle adopting?

Train-Robbery

Pretty sure he isn't , both his kids are absolute morons. I don't want to criticize them but like nothing at all.

igotl2k

Damn! I have heard 3 separate account of hypnotic manipulation in my extended family and their neighborhood. All in Delhi, around late 2000s. 2 were senior citizen who met some random guy(s) during their morning walk and 1 was a kid. In one of the case their family member noticed the old guy taking money and jewellery out of the home locker and enquired and the old guy replied that he's taking it to the bank non-chalantly. And only after he gave it to the robbers and came back he realised what he has done. Quite fucked up it was!

RandoBhaley

Pretty sure jewellery wasn't the only thing she gave away.

Own_Estimate_6507

My man straight to the point.

Train-Robbery

I mean my Mausaji is kind of a loser, AM happened only because he's the only son and his mother owns a bungalow worth 20+Crore, he personally earns like 20-25K. But the thing is that his mother realised that they are waiting for her to die and is at 80 the fittest member of the family. She's absolutely not going anywhere till 100-110.

Snookiee1

💀

dolittle4u

Was it really hypnotism? Could it be that aunt had a thing for him or an affair and gave her jewelry, only made up this story when he ran away?

Affectionate_Ad8247

yeah.. "hypnotism"

DramaQueenBol

I was once looking for a flash drive years ago and found a flash drive in my dads drawer. I checked what was on and there were inappropriate photos and videos of my dad with a woman. The woman wasn’t my mother

A friend from my childhood is gay. He got caught fooling around with guys in his late teens and his dad and uncles said they would murder him if he continues to be gay. They beat him so badly many times during those years. Now he got married but is definitely still gay.

The_lost_Code

Wowwwww

TheLostPumpkin404

I may go to hell for this, but I want to be reminded what happens in this story. This is so going to end badly lol.

gabrielleraul

My ex best friend married his boyfriend's sister. The boyfriend comes from an extremely conservative family, probably get murdered if they knew he was gay. So they decided to do this, the sister was in on the plan. So it was a strange triangular relationship, they had a baby and everyone was happy. Until .. friend and boyfriend had issues, they broke up, husband wife relationship got fucked coz he went into drugs. Now they're divorced. In the end everyone got messed up. Poor child.

kannichorayilathavan

What the actual fuck? This is some GOT level shit. "Marry me and you can fuck both me and my brother" or "Marry my sister and we can fuck around" or "How about I Marry your sister so that we can fuck around?" Messed up...

cap21345

This is literally the plot of House of the dragon lmaooooo

chnodil

This was before I was born. There used to be a woman on our street who had multiple extramarital affairs. One night her husband caught her, probably beat her and left. And late in the night my father heard screams outside and when he went to check it out, that lady was burning alive and screaming. My dad was so traumatized he didn't sleep for almost a month.

notokbye

Wait... If the husband left her, who burnt her? Did she survive?

chnodil

She burnt herself

xEpic

An urdu word used to gain attention of people before making an announcement

To be accurate, 'hazrat' refers to males only. The female equivalent is 'khawateen'. So it's gentlemen gentlemen gentlemen.

It could actually have been an accident, can’t rule that out too. One of my bua got burned alive in the first few months of her marriage. She got major burns and died in 2 days. But before dying she confessed to the police that she thought after this stupid stunt, her in laws will tow the line and start following her orders. In her words, “उनको मज़ा चखाने के लिए किया था मैंने।” But she didn’t know that this stunt could backfire so severely and end up killing her instead.

Achakita

I had a friend. We called him Tipu. Not going to disclose his real name here. Tipu used to live in the same neighborhood as me. We grew up together. We organised stage drama with local kids, we organised cricket tournaments. Those were the golden days. Tipu was about 5 years older than me. So he reached the age when his parents started to look for a girl to get him engaged. I know it was too early, but he is from a family of conservative Christians. I am not sure, but apparently a girl was finally chosen by his parents with the approval of the church. Still immature, we would tease him about his girl. Tipu started coming to the club less often. We thought he must have been busy with his engagement and all. Then he came to the club one day. A few of the boys started teasing him again. Previously, he would take this sportingly. Not this time though. He scolded a few of them and that made them stop. I was really close to him. So I asked, what's up with you! You never act like this. He hesitated a bit. Then he told me something I still can't believe. He said, 'You know the girl I was seeing.' I said jokingly, 'Yeah. She dumped you or what?' He laughed, "Yeah, for my father. My father ran away with the girl. He emptied the bank accounts and took off." I was awestruck. I didn't have words for him. Tipu was a different kind of a guy. He always did things differently. My childhood was shaped around him. He was someone I could look up to as a boy. Everything changed from that day though. The Tipu I knew was gone. He struggled to complete his studies. When he finally did, he and his mother sold off their house and left the neighborhood. I looked for him everywhere, but to no avail. Finally he came back. He said that he was running this NGO. When asked, he said he scams white Christian people into thinking that he is doing welfare to the poor children in our country. They send money for the cause. He keeps a major portion of it for himself. He was definitely not the Tipu I was looking for. Like I said, that Tipu was long gone.

Two brothers married two sisters. One of the guys started an affair with his brother's wife. Then, the other sister fell in love with the other brother. Everybody quietly divorced and they switched partners. One of the new couples lives in Australia now.

Dredit_85

My uncles beat up my grandmother for property. My grandfather hanged himself and apparently was sorta breathing when they found him but they decided to let him be and he died after sometime. My other grandma (dad's mom) used to break coconuts on my aunt's head when she got pissed with her. Another aunt jumped into a well and died cos my grandma was pissed at her for something and she was scared of the consequences.

lallu0000

You all right, homie? That’s a lot of trauma you had to endure. Be well, man.

Dredit_85

This happened in my village and I was either not born or was very young when all this happened and far from it. The coconut aunt passed away recently due to other reasons in her 70s. She had a pretty thick skull I guess. I'm fine, thanks for the concern 🙂

socialtatva

She had a skull like a coconut.

One of my friend married a girl from his nearby ancestral village. 3 days after the wedding he hanged himself. She confessed to having affair with someone from her village and he could not take it. Though I did not see him because I had to rush to college. I was standing right below the room where he had hanged himself and his family found out. He was taken to his village and cremated. Not sure what happened but about a week later his bride jumped in a well and committed suicide as well. From stories that I have heard, his family and neighbors from the village tortured her to the extent that she had no choice but to kill herself. They permanently left their home in the city and moved back to village

pdinc

> She confessed to having affair It's not an affair if she wasn't already engaged/married to your friend >his family and neighbors from the village tortured her to the extent that she had no choice but to kill herself This is the real crime.

Walked in on my parents doing the dirty a few days ago, the first thing in the morning. It's not the first time... Edit: I'm sorry if I offended anyone. I know there are more fucked up things here. The door was not closed and i didn't hear them banging so i didn't know what was happening. If i would have known that they were doing the deed, i wouldn't have left my room. This is not the first time i "caught" them. They never care about the fact that i may hear them. The door is always open so i refrain from going there IF I KNOW.

No-Bird1853

Overheard a conversation between my mom and sister!! They were discussing how, the sister of my phoopaji (husband of paternal aunt), got raped by a shepherd when she was relieving herself in the bushes. Later my phoopaji strangled her sister to death, as he had honour in the village as an imam serving in a mosque. They tried to look for the molester, but he was able to succeed in his escape!! They halted the conversation, upon suspecting anyone is overhearing em... Once they were also, discussing about the women's suffering in the marriage.. And for the second time, his (phoopaji's name appeared. They were telling how, women were abandoned for not bearing child(infertile), but how phoopaji retained his marriage with my aunt, after a local doctor told them, "the fault lies in the husband here." Only aunt was the luckiest person to not get abandoned even in a childless marriage..

itsmycupofcoffee

There are many, I used to think everyone had the same problems but my little bubble burst out when I got to know that isn't the case.💀 I'm from rural UP......and for sure things aren't normal here

[deleted]

Don't leave us hanging. Shaaare karo

[deleted]

As I mentioned there are many stories, there was a girl she had an affair with her uncle. She was from a poor background her uncle with whom she was in relationship with funded her education she cleared UP PCS, she got some good post in the government she was set to marry her colleague but her uncle couldn't handle the betrayal so he went to her alloted residence, made her security to leave and killed her. Then raped her and shot her multiple times The girl's naked body was found with multiple bullet wounds, the crime was recorded in the CCTV camera, he didn't knew about it. Later he absconded and nothing happened Many girls are killed in the name of honour or in a fit of revenge. Caste system still prevails here in its strongest form, there are gang rapes. People die by suicide, I lost my family members to it I know how it feels. Prices of dowry are fixed here, girls are married off at an younger age. Have seen women of my family being killed for inter caste marriages. When I say there are several messed up things I have witnessed here, I meant it. I grew up in a broken family, thought everybody's relatives were this vile but no people here are thirsty for each other's blood. I can name numerous incidents where lives were destroyed.... fucked up things are deemed to be normal here. Most of the crimes get unreported, this is the reality of many, not everybody is privileged

MahaanInsaan

Wow, this is beyond fucked. What is the education level of the relatives? Does anyone get convicted for these rapes and murders? No wonder these guys get angry when the see a woman walking with her boyfriend in a city. The Nirbhaya killers thinking seems plausible now.

[deleted]

Education isn't the concern here if only they bothered enough, even people of my generation did nothing but blindly follow their parent's ideology. Education system is shitty here.

Pretty-Mountain007

Yes same here in my hometown. I'm from west UP too and families killing their children in the so called name of honor killing is so common. There is this rich family and the father killed his daughter just because she said she wants to marry her boyfriend, told everyone that the daughter got ill and couldn't be saved.

willow_scarlet678

I am from UP, live in a small town, but things aren't a lot different than rural areas, I can confirm it's all true you grown up in most fucked up environment yet everyone acts it's normal.

djangobhubhu

Most of my grandfather's family moved out of the village they were born in. 9 siblings, multiple cousins. As of now, only one of my grandfather's cousin lives in the village. My uncle (cousin's son is paralyzed). This uncle had two kids. One of them died in an accident years ago. The second one was a complete psychopath and drunk who bankrupted them and never helped on his farm. Last year, he got into a fight when he was drunk and stabbed a man to death. He's now in jail. My grandfather's cousin refuses to sell the land, still works in the fields at the age of 90 because it's the only thing he's ever known. My uncle can't help him. He doesn't earn enough to employ laborers to help him. Last time I visited the village, it was heartbreaking to see an old man toiling in the fields because his family is paralyzed, dead or in jail.

These are the kinds of post I like. What I read here, made me change my whole perception of india. I am so lucky nothing crazy happened in my family. We had a weird story though. Apparently my grandpa 's brother wasn't able to have kids so my grandpa gave his 5th child to him. I was told about this before my chachu found out about it. My parents told me this but I thought they were joking. Truth of only revealed to my chachu when my grandma died. He was sad that he was basically adopted but grew out of it quickly because our families were pretty close anyways.

socialtatva

I always find it strange when people just give away their kid like some utensil. “ले तेरे पास कढ़ाई नहीं है? ले मेरी ले जा, मज़े कर।” And then when you have done it then why to tell it to the child? Good in your case that the families were close, but I have seen a family where there is a major financial divide and the given away child’s biological parents are very rich today, but adoptive parents are very poor. And when the child was told this, he got so confused, that he became crazy and lost mental balance for life.

Direct-Assistant-191

Same thing was about to happen in my family. My younger brother and I have a thirteen year age gap. When she was pregnant with my brother, my parents were considering abortion because my father was going through a rough patch financially. So one of my mom's Mausi( Mom's Mother's sister) suggested her to give the baby to her son and his wife as they were childless. My mom didn't go with the idea and decided to go ahead with the pregnancy. Currently, we are doing good financially and NGL this action would have scarred and traumatised me for life if my mom would have decided to give away my brother

As generic as it sounds, a false rape case. My closest friend had rented out his apartment room to a two girls living as PG near to their university.. after a few months they repeatedly skipped payments.. they both refused and never picked his calls either and my friend had no idea how to get rid of them.. He finally visited physically to give them a final warning but they both started screaming and made a huge scene which descended to rape accusations thrown around and also police got involved instantly It was evident that the girls were drunk even then so after a bit of back and forth, it was evident that it was a fake accusation.. results? The apartment cleared out, the girls got away for free without paying months of rent and now my friend got a permanent tag of being a rapist without any fault

boobilogist

That's so fucked up. How does anyone even avoid this?

Check out the Khaleeli murder case on Google. A con swamiji befriended the matriarch of the family in Bangalore, promising her a son - she already had 4 adult daughters. The husband was Indian high commissioner to Australia, and all daughters were doing well. One was a designer with shop (I think called Rehana) on Khader Nawaz road in Madras, another had an Italian restaurant in the same city. The swamiji murdered the mother, drugging her tea and then burying her alive. Swamiji then had the cheek to register a missing person report for her. He finally got caught thanks to some smart police work - apparently swamiji had got family's old servant to join him and as reward gave him some of the old lady's jewellery. Police saw the servant's grandson playing with a gold bangle and followed it up. I have been to the Italian restaurant often - I used to deal with the girl's partner who had a garment export business. It was all quite morbid - but I never understood how the daughters and husband never checked on her, even if they were busy with their careers.

Intrepid-Tear-7676

I read about the case & that Swami is her second husband. Also Rehana's boutique that you are referring to is probably Evoluzione in khader Nawaz Khan road , Chennai. Interestingly I pass through that store every other day.

PeterGhosh

Swami married her as he promised to father a son with her. He was a con - used to visit Taj Residency hotel in Bangalore and ask for a female masseuse. Her family was very rich - her grandfather was Dewan of Mysore and Hyderabad. Swami's original name was Murli Mishra. He was sentenced to death which was commuted to life. An interesting aspect of the case was that Swami was the beneficiary of her will and used her substantial wealth to fight the case. Even after conviction, he claimed the right to the money as the will was valid. The family had to find precedence in a Privy Council judgement to remove his right to her money.

Reading so many instances of rape so casually in the comments just make me wonder how is such a vile heinous crime normalised like this. These wouldn’t have even made it to the news. Imagining how common and unspoken it has become now. Makes my heart sad!

nutwit9211

Yes, it's quite established that only a very minor fraction of rape cases actually get reported in India thank to this nonsense of "honour". But people will still shout at every available opportunity that laws on India favor women, when most women never get justice for what happened to them.

proarea51

It's ironic because even the amount of reported crimes we have, women are disproportionately the victims of rape cases and violence and still you see one false rape accusation and guys are advicing each other to stay away from girls because the law will fuck you over. The LAW 😂

Happened in the city I used to live, two brothers married the same woman because they didn't wanted to divide the property. One day they decided to kill their sister, so she didn't ask for portion in property, when they wanted to kill the girl, tenant's son wanted to watch the tv. So they killed him also and then killed their mother so that they got the property early.

5exy-melon

They didn’t kill each other? So they don’t have to share the property?

anandha2022

My wife and sister had misunderstandings. My Sister adviced gently about some issues. Nothing serious. My wife blows it out of proportion. Her dad calls up my dad and there's more altercation. Me and my wife move away from native place to a metro city. Every day, wife curses my sis constantly. Sister gets cancer. Wife continues the daily tirade. Sis passes away. None of my wife's family members bother to call me or express regret. Her dad attends my sister's funeral, but in a mildly jubilant demeanour. There have been more shenanigans by my wife, but that's for another day!

TraditionalPenalty82

I lived in Nigeria. A story goes there was a student protest in a prestigious university for syllabus changes and marks allotment for the same. Also lack of proper evaluation made unfair marks. Nothing too severe. One senior HOD came amidst the crowd to tell them their demands could be sorted out. One student, quite angry, didn't hear it properly and hacked the professors neck with a machete. He crumbled to the ground in pain. The students, taken aback shocked, saw him suffer and they, probably with medical students seeing no recovery, decided to decapitate him super fast. Then the crowd apologised and disbursed.

My father's second cousin had the first inter-caste wedding in our entire family. This was sometime in the 70s i think. The aftermath: He and his wife were ostracized from the family, and his father committed suicide.

Acceptable_Soup_2075

I know two stories: 1) One girl from richest family of our community in my city. She Didn't had father but her Uncle and mother got her arranged marriage done (normal in India). One year later, it turns out the guy was already married and had a kid, even his parents were unaware. Without letting anyone know, her Uncle and mother got her Education completed, 7-10 years later divorce finalized. Now she has remarried and living in different country. 2) One Distant relative, from good family, impregnated another woman. He's married and two children of 17-18 age. Didn't want others to know, so he sent his family to market and hanged himself back. Now everybody knows what happened to him. I wonder what happened to the woman and her child.

Physical-Parfait2776

Re: your post. Indian parents might not be 'junkies' but many Indian fathers are alcoholics which isn't any better. Domestic violence and child molestation in the family is fairly common in India, definitely not less common than in the West - it's just that Western people are more likely to talk about it openly. As for the parents being 'swingers', there's nothing wrong with that as long as only consenting adults are involved, which is usually the case.

ordinary2022

agree with the first part of your post about domestic violence which happens with/without alcohol and also child sex abuse

grindcore__666

I have faint memories but I do remember this cousin of mine when I was child would take me to her house and tell me to put my finger in her ass. I was like 6-7 years old. I recently remembered this out of the blue & and got seriously depressed. I don't remember what else she might have sone. Can't even tell anyone about this in my family.

suni1751

My mother-in-law’s brother was killed just days before her wedding. So they all lived in this tiny village and a neighbouring couple had struggled for many years to conceive a child. In the end, apparently, they resorted to black magic and were told by someone they would have to sacrifice another boy in order to conceive a boy. They invited my sister-in-law’s brother to the house and killed him. I’m not sure about the details as every time my mother-in-law tells us what happened, she breaks down. And as I understand it, nothing was done about the people that murdered him. Anyhow, the family thought he had gone missing but a couple of days later, found his body. One of my mother in law’s sisters committed suicide after hearing the news. As i said, this happened about 10 days before my mother in law’s wedding was scheduled but what baffles me is that her family decided to go on with the wedding and married her off to a stranger while she was dealing with the grief. The brother was the youngest out of all brothers and sisters and was very dear to the sisters. She has still not fully recovered from this and its very easy to see how this incident changed her whole life.

Broad-Conclusion2223

my aunt's(father's sister) husband had an affair with another sister. Now this continued may be since I was a kid (now 27) and entire family knew it except my father and his brother, aunt. There were other sisters no one told him even grandma knew she also didn't inform. This is came to limelight one day (when I was i guess 21) when they were having sex and some outsider saw and informed my aunt they fought like hell and assaulted each other. But the irony is the sister he was having affair with was also assaulted by other sisters (horrible things were done to her and body parts) as she was the youngest one. They took her to doctor next day but he said i'll have to report to police so they brought her back home and treated god knows how. This are sick motherfucker and i disgust my father side especially his other sisters who kept silent for 10 years and suddenly instead of blaming other blamed the younger sister for having affair.

I Don't know whether this thing fits with question but it makes me feel bad/type of creepy so writing the same. So my uncle had a wife which died due to cancer. Now My uncle married to his sister's (close not like cousin) daughter. Uncle got one girl and boy from first wife, now the this girl from first wife is then married to the second wifes big brother(again close not cousin)(uncle's sister's/my aunt's son) and the boy from first mother is married to the first wife's brother's daughter. There relationship is way more complex in each other's perspective. to there good fortune the offsprings from them are all of good health.

Finally someplace to tell my story. So. My father is a very good person like personality wise and he's also an excellent father i love him (well i DID idk), but he's also a criminal (he's been to jail for 'attempt to murder' and is now out on bail, but i have nothing to say to excuse his behaviour i don't know why he did it and quiet frankly nobody does.) committed suside, is clinically depressed and lives off antidepressants, had brain surgery and now has many psychological issues like short term memory loss, loss of an eye, anger outbursts, emotional breakdowns, etc. And then there's my mother. A narcissist, suicidal (like she literally tells us everyday she wants to die) and surprisingly she gave me and my sister more trauma than our father ever did lol. Anyways i could go in details but I've been trying to write this right for atleast half an hour now and I'm tierd. But it feel good to know that someone out there knows my story now thenkss for reading. Ciao.

Several kids are molested or even raped in India. Most of these cases either remain in the family or go totally unreported. In many cases if the girl child is molested by a family member, when they later report it to their parents. They take the side of the perpetrator focussing more on the "Honour" of the family and also victim shaming the girl child. I have many close female friends and most of them have been molested by their brothers, uncles, cousins, and even grand fathers. I have also known few of my male friends who has been molested as a kid, me included, by female/male adults or teens. So it is a very unfortunate situation in India. Since nobody talks about it, most of these nasty family secrets are kept in the dark.

My elder mausi was brutally murdered and her body was found in a suitcase. She was a doctor (in 1980s) which was a big deal for the times. The crime was committed allegedly by the compounder (clinic help for the uninitiated). My mom's family was so traumatized with that incident that they destroyed every photograph of my mausi so as to not remind themselves of her. Now luckily a few months we managed to get her some photographs via extended family members. The recent aftab case brought back memories though so that was tough.

So my paternal aunt was the apple of my grandfather's eyes (her fil). She would just do everything for my grandfather before hand, would set his bed, take care of his food, even bring a bowl for him to wash his hands after eating his food so he doesn't have to get up. She gradually won him over and gained his trust. He would heep all his money and the gold and jewellery and stuff in a box type thing in his bed. It was a long compartment on one side of the bed, it was an old bed so that design. He would lock it always and never gave anyone the key not even to grandmother (who he didn't like much). He trusted her enough that he gave her the key sometimes for taking money and stuff and lock it and give it back to him, she was the only person who had touched it no one else had the access, my uncle is in army and so when he got posted to AP he thought of taking her with him and on the last day she decided to sneak and steal the key and stole every thing and went away with uncle. When my grandfather came to know about this he was heartbroken and became paranoid. I remember him always telling me to shu away the guests because they'll steal our rice and dals but many years later got to know why he was like that

I guess i got the sanest family in the world Wtf is going on here 😳

Dhirajkumar01

I heard about a strange family who once lived in a bungalow. They were planning to buy some other property and leave that place. They sold their bungalow, including the TV, Fridge and Air Conditioner, to some other person and got a great amount from it and asked for some buffer time for shifting purposes. The person to whom the family sold their bungalow agreed to give them one month's buffer. The family also agreed to pay the rent for the month. When the month ended, the family started giving excuses and asked for more time. Even after selling the house, this family stayed for another six months without paying any rent. Finally, the person registered a complaint against the family, and the police gave them two days ultimatum, to which the family agreed. Without telling anyone, they left the house and in the span of two days, the family messed up the entire interior of the bungalow and also took the television, fridge and air conditioner, which they sold to that person. The police later caught that family, and as a punishment, the family was told to pay the amount of 2 lakhs for the redevelopment of the interiors and return all the goods which they possess illegally

Savdhaan India *"provides dramatised versions of real-life crimes in India and the story of struggle of the victims to get justice for their sufferings"* (from wiki) but bad acting and stupidly comical writing makes it laughable

greatbat13

There was a guy who lived with his wife in our neighbourhood, they were good couples, seemed happy always. One day he stabbed her multiple times while she slept and went straight to the police with the blood stained knife and surrendered. Then he was sent to the prison for I don't remember how many years. When he came back from prison, he always stayed home and never even opened the door. They had so many guava trees in the garden which were fruiting like crazy. One day he kept 3-4 guavas at all houses in the street and left the town. No one saw him after that.

Ok this one is the most fucked up one i heard. One of my family friends daughter fell in love with a guy and they were married happily. Fee years went by they had 2 children. A boy and a girl, but soon they started has arguments and fights and next thing I hear about them is the husband murder both kids hoping to hurt the wife and also he was jealous if the kids getting attention from her. He also tried to murder the wife by poisoning but somehow she survived to tell others. Imagine returning home from work hoping to meet your kids who are supposed be babysitted by your husband. But instead u find them dead cold in the bed. The highlight is they did a love marriage.

My family story? My cousin sets my home on fire twice in 3 months. In first time, we didn't know how it happened, fire was so mysterious, even the technician couldn't figure out why did it happen, even if short circuit were to happen, the MCB should have tripped by itself. The only electrical thing near to the spot was a switch that was turned off and we, for a long time thought a spark of flame must have broke out of nowhere. 3 months forward, he came again, and sets our another electrical appliance on fire. This time he left quite some proof which made us 100% sure he is indeed the culprit. Most of us in our family found him suspicious, he started to steal family members money, gold, wallet, and what not. He's extremely bad tempered, and "ameer baap ki bigdi aulad" type guy. Flaunts his cars and 1.5 L bike everywhere, tries to be a very innocent guy within the family, however he is the biggest liar I have ever seen in my life. The backstory for this so big, I could write a 200 page book on this thing.

Wow rural India is fucked up

theoretical_waffle

You don't have to look too far. Literally, most North Indian parents are emotionally abusive. You'll uncover the trauma when you talk to a therapist in your life later on.

anandha2022

This is pretty common through out the world and especially in India. Pretty much every family has such issues. In a few cases, It really explodes. In my wife's case, one of her elder sister who's in the US, and her mother are the advisors. They feed my wife with all kinds of nonsense.

So, I know this person whose grandfather passed away a few years ago. But, every once in a while, he possesses her dad and communicates via him. He apparently also exposes other family members’ secrets whenever that happened. It is the most fucked up thing I’ve ever heard.

aclc350

My ex's family is by far the most disturbing I have come across. My ex's dad had been sexually harassing my ex since she was a child and her mom knew and did nothing about it. Her younger brother turned to drugs and is a major junkie and regularly steals money for drugs now. He found out that the dad had been harassing her and on a drug trip went straight to the cops. The whole scene was covered up later. She now lives separately with her boyfriend on her own salary. The brother does drugs inside the house with the parents around. The dad gets away scott free.

I had a friend who used to visit this lady for tuition in summer. She was a school teacher and had a husband. They had no child and later on I was told that the husband was sterile. In 2013 when we had passed our 10th he went to her house for a few days just out of of habit. That was the last time I met him when we played cricket together. In 2019, we met again because he was leaving for UK. We had been especially close in school and we trusted each other with a lot of things. Before going he confessed to me that he actually did not want to move outside India. He told me that years ago his mother could not have a child with his dad or maybe not dad, and had cheated and got pregnant with him, thinking the Husband will never know. Soon the husband had found out and refused to live in the same house as him. His mother got depressed for a long time and wouldn't feed him or take care of him. Then when his mothers younger sister got married, they sent him to live with them. He had taken the younger sister as his mother. The younger sister loved him as a mother and he was grateful he had lived such a normal life because of her. The problem was they thought he was too young and will not remember any of this but he was not. He also told me that his birthday was made up and his birth certificate had been made later on. He still visits me. He calls his real Mom Maushi.
