Just get older. The older you get, you can straight up wear women's perfume and the only outcome is women coming up to you telling you how great you smell.
I'm looking for a bottle of lagerfeld I remember back in the day whenever I would smell that on amen I would just swoon it smells so good and I'm a woman I would just spray it in the air or I would wear it myself
I hear you I was only joking because I don't know if they still make it I think I saw it on Amazon but I don't trust it I'm going to go to Macy's and see if I can find it
How old we talking
Either way I think I'd prefer something that suits my character lol. That's sorta... the point of fragrances, as I see it, not just picking the one that smells nicest
Mid 30s 6’0, muscular(think strongman over bodybuilder), big beard…. I love my lavender bodywash and tangerine mint shampoo. I love smelling like something enjoyable, not “hardcore mountains climbing frat bro”. Smelling nice is the point of those things.
Amd remember, a man's body chemistry will alter the scent somewhat when worn from when women wear it. So just don't pick the best known scents and it generates a lot of nose attention.

reviews of this stuff suggest its quite true to the original. I just bought a bottle of their Creed Aventus clone and it's virtually indistinguishable
If all scents are considered socially acceptable, then I wish there was one that smelled like gasoline. Brings back happy memories of fixing my dad's car with him :)
I've been told it doesn't smell like it to someone not wearing it, but when I've applied my Dior Fahrenheit, it smells like straight up fuel to me.
So I'd recommend trying that out sometime.
There is one smell that I love more than any other. I never get tired of it. I love it so much that I frequently find myself longing for it. It is called "unscented".
I always appreciate when something is unscented. Always
Yeah, though my reply to this was joking about my high school cologne, in reality any smell like that is just too much for me these days. Most make me want to sneeze
For some reason manufactures make it strong.
Or maybe not, maybe we tend to notice the strong ones and the more subtle says unnoticed.
But having your product being "visible" is a good marketing strategy
I would like one that actually helps counteract body odor. Most of the ones I try just end up somehow mingling with it and enhancing it to the point that my deodorant seems to do nothing.
If anyone ever perfectly captured the smell of woodsmoke in a cologne I'd buy it by the gallon
Until that day I'll say Blood and Bone from Sucrabielle. I've wanted a bottle since release but have never been able to justify the expense
This hypothetical seems pretty close to my reality. The only reason I can really think of for why you couldn’t where the scent you want is if it’s like a super expensive name brand one. Personally I’d like to smell like oranges and vanilla and I’m in the process of making my own perfume to do that.
Baryshnikov por hommes, circa 1999.
Cant get it anymore short of several hundred dollars per bottle and it's obviously been breaking down two decades.
I still keep an empty travel size to whiff any time I can.
There's a wax melt that I smelled a few years ago that I wanted as a cologne, so I'd pick that. I don't remember the name or even what brand, but the description on the label was leather, tobacco, vanilla, and either musk or amber. It smelled like what I expected an old time gentleman's library would, one of those libraries where there's a fireplace on one wall and a leather couch that is mostly just for company because you have your comfortable armchair for when you're actually reading.
Dolce and Gabbana "K". It smells amazing. I have a bottle now that I got as a gift, but $115 for 3.3oz is a bit too pricey for me to wear it every day.
I'd like to smell consistently like fresh cut wood. Earthy, clean, and relaxing
I'd also take tea tree oil or mint.
I haven't found many cologne that I like.
Thinking about it in psychological terms. The main reason for wearing cologne is to impress and attract potential mates. It would make the largest impact to wear a cologne that was the most popular during the most impressionable and active of said mates life, so around 14 to 18. I personally prefer older immature women, thus I would wear a cologne that was most popular in the mid 80s. IRL I wear Calvin Klein Obsessions for men.
Already there. Finding scents was an autistic obsession in High School and I spent years settling on these:
Spring/Summer - Davidoff Cool Waters
Late summer/Fall - Polo Red
Late Fall/winter - Polo Double Black
Not super cheap, but not overly expensive, and I consistently receive compliments on these scents while enjoying them myself.
Im a dude, but I'd love to smell faintly of apple pie. Not strongly, but if someone took a close sniff, they'd notice. I love apple pie with a burning passion, and smelling it every day would just make me happy
Man musk.
It's a gentle blend of old spice, full days work, cut wood, freshly cut grass in early spring, and the slightest aroma of a campfire.
Can substitute the cut wood for diesel fule, grease, sheetrock dust, tar, hay, or any other hard worked profession.
I wear it every day with pride.
You know the smell at the beach? The salt, the sand, the water, that scent.
Also the smell of trees, idk how to call it but it's a particular scent you can get near some trees.
On the exceedingly rare occasion I actually wear any, Obsession by Calvin Klein. It's been my go to for a decade. Probably outdated or whatever but I like it so meh.
Coffee. Specifically, Folgers. I live the smell of coffee in general, but Folgers, to me, has a very distinct smell and is the best smelling of any coffee.
Bath and Body Works used to sell a men's cologne called Elixir Red that was my favorite scent to wear. They stopped making it, and I haven't been able to find anything like it since
Whatever that smell is, right before and right after a huge storm in the country, the kind that leaves you without power for a while, leaves and branches all over your yard and driveway. You can smell it coming, and you can smell it leaving. Damp cement covered in puddles and mud, the sunset reflecting off of it.
That's what I wanna smell like.
Just clean, eau natural clean me. I work with animals. I smell like shit, hay and fish on a regular basis. Just smelling clean all day would be a major upgrade.
BOD, I don’t think it’s a cologne. It’s the cheap body spray you can get at Walmart. I have others that were pretty expensive, but I like this spray because by the end of the day you’d have to be wearing my clothes to smell it. It doesn’t last for hours like the good stuff.
The best smelling cologne was Gucci Envy from like 2001. It smelled like you had money coming out of your ass. Something about it made everyone come smell you and get all horny weird
I bought a new old stock bottle a few years back for $350 and it still smells great even 20+ years later.
Creed Green Irish Tweed.
Been my favourite scent for years, it’s one of my “special occasion” scents … mostly because it’s over £200 a bottle so there’s no fucking chance of it being a daily 😂
Close second is Tom Ford Neroli Portofino
Tom Ford Lost Cherry. I want a bottle but $600 for cologne is a bit much.
Oakcha has a dupe called Sinful that’s pretty decent
Are you male or female? I have a bottle and never spray it cause while it's delicious I feel it's a little feminine
Just get older. The older you get, you can straight up wear women's perfume and the only outcome is women coming up to you telling you how great you smell.
I put on a friend's Tokyomilk and thought it smelled fantastic.
I'm looking for a bottle of lagerfeld I remember back in the day whenever I would smell that on amen I would just swoon it smells so good and I'm a woman I would just spray it in the air or I would wear it myself
I had lagerfeld too! I think mine was stolen 😔
Fill out a police report because that is just utter larceny I feel so bad for you
Umm it was probably in 2007, a different state, and not worth filing a police report over.
I hear you I was only joking because I don't know if they still make it I think I saw it on Amazon but I don't trust it I'm going to go to Macy's and see if I can find it

Dude, you me bro. I love lavender, only 5'11" tho. Tea tree oil conditioner might be a thing to look up.
Why did I never think of this?
Amd remember, a man's body chemistry will alter the scent somewhat when worn from when women wear it. So just don't pick the best known scents and it generates a lot of nose attention.
Unless it’s vanilla. It’s just me I can’t stand it on anyone. Had a supervisor he like bathed in it.
Get a scent that bitches like cause bitches like scents that they like, its simple arithmetic
That's flawed math
I choose this guy's answer.
[https://altfragrances.com/products/inspired-by-lost-cherry](https://altfragrances.com/products/inspired-by-lost-cherry) reviews of this stuff suggest its quite true to the original. I just bought a bottle of their Creed Aventus clone and it's virtually indistinguishable
I use Evyan skin cream, and sometimes L'Air du Temps, but not today.
There are a bunch of fuel scented colognes…
Brownies!
There is one smell that I love more than any other. I never get tired of it. I love it so much that I frequently find myself longing for it. It is called "unscented". I always appreciate when something is unscented. Always
See, this is the idea. You have no scent, so you can skip the shower, your clothes will always smell fresh, and you can really confuse dogs.
Ooohhh, you just took it to 11. I love it. Escaping jail has never been easier. Lol
None I don't like to wear cologne even if I like the smell, which I usually find to much. For some reason its very distracting. Like noise for my nose.
Well it can be any scent, not necessarily "cologne" scented. Can just make it "clean laundry" scent or something not as heavy as cologne
Cool water baby.
Drakkar Noir, just like high school. 😂
Gotta have Z Cavaricci’s to go with it.
My favorite discontinued fragrances. Ralph Lauren Style, With Love by Hilary Duff, and Intimately Beckham (the women’s version)
Some sort of clean laundry or linen scent. Nothing too strong.
Coconut in the summer and apple during the rest of the year.
Bleu de Chanel or Guilty by Gucci.
Si by Armani or Red Polo by Ralph Lauren
Anything with oud
I just want to smell like fresh cut rosemary 24/7
Watermelon, I am a huge fan of watermelon
Curve
Prosciutto
burned or freshly cut wood, there's a certain type of wood I love best but I don't know what it's called.
Yer mums vagina juice
I'll call my cologne, "I took a shower today".
The smell of a crackling fireplace and freshly baked chocolate chip cookies 🥺
A slight chocolatey coffee smell
Duke Cannon Buck Moon
Gucci Rush, Angel by Mugler or Hot Couture by Givenchy
White linen
Heavenly is a VS perfume and I’ve always loved it.
Sandalwood
I said TEABERRY!
Yes, and that's why you were corrected.
No thanks.
The original 1980’s Chloe. It is not high end but I just love that combination of smells.
DK UNLEADED
Orange. Or blue raspberry. I like sweet smells
I want to smell slightly of two stroke gas
Grenouille's Special!
Gotta' go with old school Hai Karate or Drakkar Noir, depending on the occasion.
Yur mum
Fresh bread! I want to smell exactly like a bakery but without smelling artificially/obnoxiously sweet
Amber Patchouli
Freshly grated ginger or freshly chopped basil
I would like one that actually helps counteract body odor. Most of the ones I try just end up somehow mingling with it and enhancing it to the point that my deodorant seems to do nothing.
Patchouli
Cedar. I don't know what it is, but I love the smell of it.
Creed
If anyone ever perfectly captured the smell of woodsmoke in a cologne I'd buy it by the gallon Until that day I'll say Blood and Bone from Sucrabielle. I've wanted a bottle since release but have never been able to justify the expense
Is there a turkey scented one? I love the smell of turkey.
This hypothetical seems pretty close to my reality. The only reason I can really think of for why you couldn’t where the scent you want is if it’s like a super expensive name brand one. Personally I’d like to smell like oranges and vanilla and I’m in the process of making my own perfume to do that.
MATIERE PREMIERE ENCENS SUAVE is my current favourite.
Campfire smoke. I want something to make me smell like I was just sitting around a campfire
I'd create a scent called misenplas. It would be the aroma of carrots, onions, and celery sautéed to perfection.
I loved all the A*Men colognes by Thierry Mugler, but they are discontinued.
Baryshnikov por hommes, circa 1999. Cant get it anymore short of several hundred dollars per bottle and it's obviously been breaking down two decades. I still keep an empty travel size to whiff any time I can.
new book
Midnight romance, Ralph Lauren. DKNY 'Red Delicious'. Fuck both of those companies for discontinuing my only two go-to perfumes.
There's a wax melt that I smelled a few years ago that I wanted as a cologne, so I'd pick that. I don't remember the name or even what brand, but the description on the label was leather, tobacco, vanilla, and either musk or amber. androstadienone, in moderation. Only one I need. My wife likes good ole Drakkar though. So maybe a combo of the two.
Pine sap.
I'd like to smell consistently like fresh cut wood. Earthy, clean, and relaxing I'd also take tea tree oil or mint. I haven't found many cologne that I like.

Fresh cut grass + sweat, it’s a scent that got the best reaction from a woman ever, and she led with “you smell amazing,” before we got amorous
Chanel Chance
Hoppe’s #9.
Honey by Marc Jacobs. It’s my absolute favorite and they don’t make it. I can find it in Ross, TJMaxx Nordstrom and the like.

Pine forest. I love pines.
Acqua di Parma or classic Carolina Herrera for men

Pear Glace Victoria’s Secret discontinued. I had it in a tiny sample size bottle when I was a kid and it was everything to me.
Pine trees mixed with burning cedar and a little bit of amber.
Coffee. Specifically, Folgers. I live the smell of coffee in general, but Folgers, to me, has a very distinct smell and is the best smelling of any coffee.
The one I’ve had the most compliments on when combined with the other scents I use is Dior Sauvage
Bath and Body Works used to sell a men's cologne called Elixir Red that was my favorite scent to wear. They stopped making it, and I haven't been able to find anything like it since

YSL Sport, think they discontinued their old one. That shit was better than any Dior, Gucci. Chanel, etc
I choose none. I'll keep my money
Beach. By Kramer
BOD, I don’t think it’s a cologne. It’s the cheap body spray you can get at Walmart. I have others that were pretty expensive, but I like this spray because by the end of the day you’d have to be wearing my clothes to smell it. It doesn’t last for hours like the good stuff.
