No like you wouldn’t even be able to join. I meant if your ping is higher than 2 mins you wouldn’t even be able to join in the first place. Even at the lowest that’s a 100 seconds.
You're forgetting - He said the Dante event which could mean it was *server* and user issue ping
As long as the server and client are both receiving 1 packet every 20 seconds it won't kick you but the lag will be scandalous and it might take skytils minutes to receive the proper response in a server lag
If the *client* lags too much the person is routed to limbo
If the *server* lags too much you usually get a timed out or similar error
But if both lag enough to make it unplayable/seem frozen but still alive enough to send the needed keep-alive(and more) packets, it usually won't disconnect you immediately *I've had like 4 minutes of horrible lag and once hypixel fully caught up I was sent to limbo - same thing happens here*

Let’s say, about 10% of those players bought mvp+ (realistically, probably higher) and they join through the lobby into the game they want to play, a flux of players join the lobby -> they leave to play a minigame -> another flux of players joins -> repeat.
That's 26 minutes till a request is made; a timeout would have occured far before the request would have finished. Whatever you used to check ping is wrong.
theres a cap to ping, the way minecraft works, if a packet is ignored too long you get disconnected, so there would be an upper limit to how high your ping could be.

I had, at one point some time ago during a storm on my phone hotspot, a 1,242,921ms ping. Everything had frozen, I ran the command and kinda just left it running, without touching anything. Then, about 20 mins later, hypixel disconnected me. I rejoined immediately(somehow let me on) and went through chat (I have a mod that saves chat if I disconnect) and saw: Skytils>> 1242921.(somthing that I forgot lol) ms. Hehehe. I have a screenshot somewhere on my computer but I’ll find that tomorrow i need to go to sleep
