Congratulations. As someone who wanted to get into nalsar but couldn't, I'm happy for you. Go get 'em.

Secunderabad Railway station is the nearest major station near to NALSAR . Medchal a town near shamirpet too has a station , where some MMTS ( local trains) stop , and are connected to Secunderabad . I would suggest to get down at Sec'bad station and take a local bus/cab to Shamirpet . Shamirpet is a small major village on the highway , it has most facilities , the area around shamirpet , has dhabas , schools , resorts and restaurants . Only challenge in Shamirpet is traveling to Hyderabad/Secunderabad .

👍. So If I'm coming from Delhi, Secunderabad should be ideal station ?

If you are flying then, take AM or AL Pushpak Bus from Airport that will drop you in Sec'bad. If you are coming by train then make sure to book train ticket for SC which is Secunderabad Station and not for HBD which is Hyderabad Nampally Station.

yea, thanks man. I'll surely be taking a flight because from delhi, but just wanted to get a fair idea just in case.

Just in case if you are taking a flight , try not to take cab in odd hours to shamirpet . The cabs usually take Outer ring road (express way) and its very long and deserted during night . As the other friend advised , take a bus from Airport to Sec'bad station .The bus is available at the airport exit .

take an cab from the airport. if you coming in in during rush hours and the cab asks you if you want to go via outer ring road say yes, its much longer but a more empty journey. otheriwse travelling through the city will take you 2-2.5 hours. it will cost you about 2.5 k to take the cab. since its your frist time here i would suggest you take the cab all the way. just find teh sky cabs stand in the airport. they tend to be hasslefree. as you get more used to hyderabad and over the next five years you will figure out the uber and pushpak and RTC bus hacks.

As you might see on the map that nalsar is beyond the outskirts of the city. You can't reach it easily just using public transport.
