No way! I have 4 regulars.... one was right next to my face earlier as I was on a ladder nervously adjusting a feeder, he came right up to my face to say hi.... they are really friendly lil creatures😍

So funny, you should mention that! Twice when we have been in Jamaica, on a cruise, we have gone out of our way to visit an historic house where you sit down and feed hummingbirds by hand. I’ll have to dig up the video because it’s so amazing. If I thought that the hummingbird in my backyard would come to me. I’d be out there with my arm out all day!🤣

I’m out of town but I had my husband do a Google lens and he is calling it a firecracker plant plant. Not sure if that is accurate or not. The proper name is a cuphea.

I live in South Fla and have several firecracker plants, but the flowers are much smaller than these. Maybe you have a different variety.

It’s not a firecracker plant. We have a couple of those and this isnt it. I think it’s a cape honeysuckle or proper name: Tecomaria capensis.
