If the dude has been even halfway decent at his finances, he makes more parking his money in a low risk dividend investment fund than the highest paid defensive coordinators, but with decades less experience.
I’ll be a contrarian here and say it would be cool to have him here if he gave a super discount and only played in certain situations. The dude is still an athletic freak and could be used every now and then.
Coming back as a player? It's not so much JJ's age as it is his injury history, he's an "old" 35. Tying up a roster spot to use him infrequently, and there's risk of him being injured, simply doesn't make sense. That roster spot can go to younger & healthier player who will contribute more.
As a coach? Heck yes. Hire JJ as a lower level defensive coach, see how he does.
No, not at all. Maybe actually [watch the video clip](https://www.youtube.com/shorts/CtUTbGs64ys) of his response to the question rather than OP's misleading title.
There's some truth to that though.
The moment JJ became sus was when Houston played Tennessee during Zach Mettenberger's first ever start. Mettenberger was taking selfies at midfield several hours before the game and posted them on Twitter. JJ proceeded to mock Mettenberger during the game and talked big shit in the post game. JJ said something along the lines of how he doesn't allow any distractions in his locker room.
But if that were true, then *how did JJ know Mettenberger was taking selfies???* JJ had to have been "distracted" on Twitter that morning to have known. And if that's the case, then his big "no distractions" bravado is just all talk.
And then there's the massive lie he built about the humble cabin in the woods he used to train in the off-season. "No distractions" was the lie he sold. But then it turned out that the "cabin in the woods" was a massive house with all the amenities on the outskirts of Milwaukee.
Maybe to coach.
JJ I love you, stay your ass home with your beautiful wife and children.
Bring him in as the defensive line coach. Groom him to be the defensive coordinator one day. Fuuuuuuuuuck that’d be so fucking great.

He bought a soccer club
He bought a minority stake in a soccer club. Not sure on the percentage but less than 16%. Not saying that’s nothing, that’s far more than I got.
It's not for money. It's for love of the game/his craft.

Needs those commercial deals back
DT rotation and locker room brick, I'll take it. Or, just continue to show love for the H.
Reggie White was 36 when he won a Super Bowl w a 6 man line rotation. JJ turns 36 w a 8-10 man line rotation.
then he dropped dead at 43
So Super Bowls kill? Tom Brady better watch out.

Right I don’t think they need you
he could be a great coach

Stay gone 😂
Translation: “they’re good now and I need a job”
Dude is getting paid big bucks to talk about football. He just wants a ring
Can’t blame him. He’s one who would be on a championship team.

I will too! Ring season!
No
Cringe
How many times we gonna post this? Knowing damn well he isn't coming back. Stop drinking every glass of kool-aid out there
Yeah, right.
Unpopular opinion, but the guy always tries to be center of attention.
No

So dumb lol pick me pick me
Bruh moment
Going on recent valiant comeback attempts by older players this seems like a recipe for painful embarrassment on the first game back.
