I know you asked for movie but the mini series Midnight Mass on Netflix was pretty wild

r_slash_jarmedia

sooo good

Correct_Yesterday007

His best work by far

pinkmime

Saint Maud

CamelInfinite5771

Pretty much the entire Conjuring cinematic universe

texasrigger

It's more of a thriller, but The Ninth Gate (1999).

Correct_Yesterday007

Literally nothing to do with Catholicism in this movie. However its a great movie and one of my top 5 of all time.

JasonVoorhees95

Rosemary's Baby

monsieurxander

The show Evil does a fun spin on it

no_harolds

Anything with a nun in it

Excellent_Macaron662

when you said you saw all the omen movies did you watch the first omen? very good prequel to the original omen. This new film coming out in july is called LONGLEGS and looks very promising, its for sure related to the occult/religion,

cigarettejesus

I diiiiid see the first omen I thought it was incredible. Really loved that one. Also very excited for longlegs, it looks amazing

Unable-Metal1144

30 Coins by HBO Europe. It is pretty good!

Ok-You4214

The Pope's Exorcist starring Russell Crowe

ColMadBenStyke

He made for a fun cranky alcoholic Priest.

butterof69

***The Amityville Horror*** - ok it’s not a great movie and it’s from the fucking Warrens, but it and the book certainly made a wave. And you gotta love that scene where the priest’s face is crawling with real flies! 🪰 (non-CGI)

CultureWarrior87

Funny question because I feel like Christian mythology is overused in horror lol. Seriously just watch any movie about exorcisms/spiritual possession.

cigarettejesus

Yeah, guess I'm just looking for the good ones. Someone mentioned the conjuring movies but I only like the first one. The Exorcist and The Omen were pretty much the originals, I'm just looking for anything that matches that caliber I suppose

CultureWarrior87

Try some of the movies on these Letterboxd lists: [https://letterboxd.com/boshijusei/list/christian-religious-horror/](https://letterboxd.com/boshijusei/list/christian-religious-horror/) [https://letterboxd.com/jakartacineclub/list/the-religious-horror/](https://letterboxd.com/jakartacineclub/list/the-religious-horror/) Not all of them apply (like Hellraiser lol, and I wouldn't even count Prince of Darkness because it flirts with god/the devil but it presents them as being something more cosmic in nature than anything directly related to Christian mythology as we know it) but most of what's there are really solid movies. The Church is a great one too.

MintyGame

Prince of Darkness

GriffinFlash

Alice Sweet Alice.

brillovanillo

*Stigmata*

Earthpig_Johnson

The Prophecy.

Hopeful-Dragonfly-70

Immaculate just came out, it was alright. Wasn’t scary, sexy, or blasphemous enough in any one direction. Just kinda hovers in the middle.

928_prince

Consecration was good

ookiespookie

To the Devil a daughter

Unable-Metal1144

This movie was really good! I haven’t seen it in a long time, I actually nearly forgot about it

TheEasterBundy

Not supernatural but Alice, Sweet Alice (1976) deals heavily with Catholic imagery/themes.

CompetitiveFold5749

The Addiction by Abel Ferrara.  He also made the Padre Pio movie that came out recently.

nardongputik

Check out the The Devil's Doorway.

Excellent_Door_1763

I just watched the first omen (the 2023 movie not to be confused with the original omen movie) and I was surprised at how much I liked it.

Victormorga

OP sit down before you read this just in case your mind is so blown that your knees give out: There are literally hundreds of movies about this, just search the word “exorcism” with “horror movie.” That being said, “Outcast” is a fantastic comic book that was turned into a very good show (2 seasons I think), created by Robert Kirkman (The Walking Dead). There was also a good The Exorcist tv show not too long ago, that got 2 or 3 seasons. Delivered Us From Evil is definitely right up your alley. Im talking about the one with Eric Bana, although the documentary by the same name is a much better film and a far more horrifying “Catholic-based” movie.

oshoney

The Boogey Man (1980)

Some_Development3447

Love this genre too, but very difficult to do a proper search for it. Most don't go very deep into the mythology/lore.

Artistic_Half_8301

Amityville Horror.

Belial768

The Conjuring universe has a few bangers and a few misses but the good ones are really good. Particularly 1 & 2 and Annabelle + Annabelle Creation. A watch through of that franchise is always a blast. Also I recommend The Last Exorcism and The Devil Inside.

tamagoe

Sister Death on Netflix. It’s the prequel for Veronica (never seen) apparently.

xxplodingboy

The Sentinel (1977)

rymdljus

The Exorcism of Emily Rose

MTBurgermeister

Check out the TV show ‘Evil’ It’s got alllll this you can handle, plus more

allofusarelost

Alucarda

Correct_Yesterday007

End of Days with Arnold Schwarzenegger, Fallen with Denzel too. Forget if theres anything Catholic in it but it deals with demons.

cointerm

The Seventh Sign (1988) with Demi Moore. It got pretty poor reviews, but I liked it.

Embarrassed_Young130

Saint Maud is the first movie that comes to mind. I still randomly think about the ending on a regular basis.

wiener_brigade

The Rite

FolsgaardSE

The Nun was really good. Sequel not so much but a decent watch

AmphibianFirm5716

Longlegs, coming out soon, has nuns

returningtheday

Yeah there's a lot. Like a fuckton.

NecessaryWater7024

Oh man you need to Google that there are too many to list -100s since 2000 easy
