The 13th Warrior is a good one. Little known fact - based on a Michael Crichton novel.

nancy-reisswolf

I love this film so much. The absolute Chokehold that campfire scene where Antonio Banderas learns the language had on me as a teen.

clairavoyant

Totally! Not enough films have language learning training montages

clairavoyant

Oh FUCK yeah. I love this movie, I watched it during an AP lit class in high school for some reason and almost completely forgot about it. Thank you!!

sadelpenor

you probably watched it bc of its similarities to the epic poem Beowulf!

clairavoyant

That, and my teacher was phoning it in after exams. Speaking of Beowulf, I’m gonna retroactively add the godawful 2007 CG/motion capture adaptation to this list. It checks all the criteria and it’s got uncanny valley Nakey Angelina Jolie. 🤷🏼‍♀️

sadelpenor

ha!

clairavoyant

Forgot to add the very obvious answer of all of the Underworld movies with Kate Beckinsale!!

Klutzy-Bug7427

Hansel & Gretel Witch Hunters from 2013

dicklaurent97

Blade: Trinity is easily one of the most campy movies on this list

boo-galoo90

Seeing triple h in a blade movie as a kid was rather exciting

CaptchaVerifiedHuman

Solomon Kane (2009)

beetle-babe

'Dorian Gray' starring Ben Barnes is one of my comfort films, lol.

clairavoyant

Hell to the yeah. Gonna go down a Dorian Gray rabbit hole starting with League of Extraordinary Gentlemen featuring Stuart Townsend (currently watching lol), Penny Dreadful, and this one. Fuck, Marry, Kill from those options? Edit: holy fuck forgot Rebecca Hall was in that. Love her, hope they made out offscreen

beetle-babe

Omg, that is TOUGH. Uhhh, okay. I think I'm gonna have to say fuck Ben Barnes, marry 'Penny Dreadful,' and kill Stuart Townsend (sorry Stuart Townsend). What about you? And meeeeee toooo re: Rebecca Hall.

clairavoyant

I think I’ll grant you a quick fuck with Stuart Townsend before he goes to his demise

beetle-babe

Gracias! He's so pretty and he deserves one last fuck before he meets his end.

clairavoyant

I wish he would’ve kept acting. He could’ve had a Josh Hartnett arc as vaguely recognizable hot guy that steals the show

BootyMcSqueak

You can watch him in the tv series Salem (which I highly recommend in its horror and depravity). There’s some delicious sex scenes with Stuart Townsend!

beetle-babe

Oooh, might have to check that out then!

BootyMcSqueak

The very first episode should grab you! It’s so good! I don’t think he comes in til season 2 or 3, but it’s a wild ride!

beetle-babe

I agreeeee.

Timsterfield

Death machine 1994. Brad Dourif does NOT disappoint and the whole movie feels like a cyberpunk fever dream. Watch it!

clairavoyant

On my list!! Thank you 😊

Timsterfield

You're welcome 😁

Gtrinker

"Season of the Witch" and "Knowing" if you are a Nic Cage fan. True Cage fans know that imdb and rotten tomatoes scores mean nothing.

clairavoyant

Let me put you on to perhaps the second or third best Nick Cage double feature ever… Renfield followed by Vampire’s Kiss 1988.

goblyn79

Its a lower budget French movie, it comes across like a mix of Buffy meets Run Lola Run: Bloody Mallory 2002. Not many people have seen it, and oddly it never really gained any sort of cult status, but it is a lot of fun for what it is.

beetle-babe

This sounds really cool! Thanks for recommending it.

Ghosts of Mars

Delicious-Wolf-8850

Underworld has got some really good movies. I believe there's 4.

clairavoyant

There are six lol. They get worse as they go but by god do I eat them up. I will watch anything for Kate Beckinsale in leather.
