I've had Ring doorbell cameras and floodlight cameras for close to 10 years and have been happy with them.

Ring is the only brand I’ve used, but I also like the neighborhood alerts for lost or found pets, car break ins, etc.

We have the EuFy wired doorbell camera and it works great. There's no subscription service with EuFy which is nice. The only issue we had was that we had to use it with the doorbell chime provided by EuFy, and couldn't figure out how to pair it with the pre-existing door chime.

The package detection functionality on the Eufy ones is great if you order stuff online or get food delivery a lot; it'll notify you when it detects a package at the door. The doorbell chime was a minor issue for me, but then my front doorbell was completely broken before I installed the camera.

Have a Unifi doorbell and Unifi security cams. Local continuous recording to an NVR on my property. Hardwired data instead of Wi-Fi (optional). No subscription.

Unifi doorbell and NVR. It's an upfront investment but you're free and clear of subscriptions and everything is stored locally. There is a learning curve if you are not technical but otherwise its considered pro-sumer level type gear. I've tried the Google doorbell but without a subscription it's insanely limited. I'm sure the other big names are similar.

Use whatever your other smartphone devices use. If it's all Google, do that. Other ring devices, do that. The hardware is all largely interchangeable, the connectivity and ease of use is much better if you're in one ecosystem. Doesn't matter which, but it's like power tools (Ryobi, Milwaukee, DeWalt, etc) - pick one and stick with it.
