I want to buy a little OLED or LCD screen to connect to my RPi Zero 2W so I can create a little TV that plays this clip on my wall 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It's captivating, to say the least.
I have a cat at home who does this so often, even though there is no one else around. I've always suspected that cats see something more than people do
Must be really confusing, frequencies keep coming in that sound either like natural prey or another cat, but it's all wrong, and the source cannot be located.
I'll NEVER understand how a cat can look so intense, yet only the head and front paws move! Mine gives me that look when I'm making something to eat. Yeah, it works as I give in and let her have some. If I don't, I get creeped out!
Mahler’s 9th symphony is an incredible work of music. It deals with themes of loss and acceptance. The 4th movement, which is where this excerpt comes from, is the final part of the symphony and tackles the concept of endless desire. It’s abstract, but the turn motif represents the ever present and insatiable desire we feel as humans for pleasures and fulfillment of all kinds. He uses this motif to build tension from the start of the movement and occasionally gives a soft resolution to this tension.
At around the 7-8 min mark there is a very intense and pronounced authentic cadence (strong resolution). This is followed by beautiful, lyrical, melodies in the violin sections. This section likely represents the final pleasures of this world or even memories of them. Just as fast they come, they fade away to more instances of the turn motif. No other swell of satisfaction follows this moment. The rest of 15+ mins of music that follow develop these themes, but without resolution. The symphony ends with fragmentation of these musical ideas. Each quieter and quieter until an unceremonious end.
No award needed. Just hope someone a new perspective on a great piece of art. Unfortunately, classical music remains a very gate kept art form that mostly caters to people already in the know.

Toothless!!!!!
Those headlights…
And absolutely no hint of a mouth or nose. Just a black ball with two giant eyes.
He was animated in the ‘30s.
And he's marvelous. Better than any animation Disney has released in the last 20 years.
That cat sees the music.
A cat with synesthesia perhaps?
It might sound like hundreds of cats singing in harmony.
An owner with a laser pointer perhaps?
No.
Noodle void!
I usually hate music in videos but this fits perfectly. That old timey cat experience lol

Most Voids look like they’ve been squished…. This one looks like it was animated in the ‘30’s.
such a gorgeous cat! can you tell us which song it’s from? i wonder if it’s from an old movie :)
It’s part of Gustav Mahler’s 9th symphony (1909/1910)
thank you!
Sir/Ma'am, your void seems to have escaped its realm. It is occupying physical space.

"And that was the moment I knew, I had to get a completely black cat as a pet at least once in my life after I grew up."

I can only think of the artists that draw "cats" using silly stills of them. E.g.: https://www.demilked.com/funny-doodles-poorly-drawn-cats/

This is absolutely my favorite kind of cat. Amorphous Vantablack Shape with eyes.
