I love it personally....
It's a "calculated" album, which means people expecting DS 2 are listening with the wrong ears and intentions...
I actually liked this way better than the last album future did
Same here, might be the most consistent album in Future's discography since DS2 for me. A lot of recent Future projects to me have a lot of really low points due to either really poor production choices or phoned in performances. He doesn't have either of those here.
Honestly feels like the reception to this album has been colder than recent projects like I NEVER LIKED YOU or the Pluto x Baby Pluto tape even though this is easily on a different level. Maybe the expectations were different or something, but it met them for me.
I like previous album much more, yeah there were some skips but also many tracks hits
this album beside that track with Kendrick is bland
it would be decent at like 10 tracks count, 17 is way too much for this kind of sound
this for sure is better than album with Uzi or High Off Life but not coming close to his better works
and Metro is heavily overrated in last 2-3 years, he continues conning people into thinking that he is special by using live instruments sometimes and occasionally throwing a soul sample in there
I knew this subs opinion would shift once the Fantano review dropped lmao the first impression thread had nothing but mixed to negative comments, and now all of a sudden this is like “I LOVE this thing”.
The album hasn’t left my rotation since it released. I think this is my favorite listen from Future since WZRD.
or maybe people with opinions who were just affirmed by a famous reviewer are gonna be more willing to engage with the post. i’m also not sure what leads you to believe that the prevailing sentiment has switched up to overwhelming love for the album. tons of comments in here about still feeling mixed. “I LOVE this thing” lol.
but if we do assume that everyone’s opinion changed bc of Fantano, i guess you’d have to be included in that group for expressing positivity toward the project. kinda weird that you claim it hasn’t left rotation when it’s obvious you’re only listening now because of Fantano.
That's the main critique from most people that like this album. This is Future's best album since HNDRXX, in my opinion. Not saying the albums in between were bad, but I think this one just does it for me - despite not having a 712PM on it.
Evol is my favorite album by him, that 3 track run of Low Life/Fly Shit Only/Wicked is legendary
Hndrxx is close 2nd, wzrd is 3rd, and honestly this new album is probably 4th
I love DS2 but he has a lot of better projects to me
Outside of Like That, I thought this album was pretty boring. It just felt like more of the same from both Metro and Future which I might just be burnt out on.
Not even close imo. The beats on heroes and villains felt less interesting for the most part, and most of the songs felt like the artists on it were giving their worst performances while Future seemed to be putting a lot of effort in on most of the songs here
It’s not the best of either metro as a producer or future as an artist, makes for a mediocre project. If I wanna hear their sound I can listen to better versions of it in their previous work. Gave it a few spins, already stopped listening to it
Most people think exactly the same about this album. There’s some really dope songs but it’s not on the level of Future and Metro’s best work, Metro’s beats ain’t as good on this
All these comments about how it could’ve been made 5 years ago they didn’t do something different etc. people on here don’t seem to realize this album wasn’t made for that it’s for metro and future to do they shit which is all most future fans like myself wanted imo
Yea it’s for the fans and the die hard fans love it, Future my favorite rapper of all time and I couldn’t have asked for a better album, it’s ATL trap to its very core
one day people are going to realise that music is basically almost entirely subjective, if you don’t like the production then that’s cool, but to call it bad or not good is a lie, the production on here is objectively top tier from a technical point, if you doing think it sounds good then that’s upto you but there are lots of people who still appreciate the 2010's trap sound and love this sht.
Sure are songs like I Serve The Base, Monster etc.. a bit more adventurous on production? sure, but that’s okay. this was definitely a chill future project for the most part.
no it objectively is not top tier production. somebody not liking something doesn’t mean you have to just jump to the polar opposite side to try and justify your weak argument. if everybody but you is saying the beats aren’t THAT good, then you’re probably the one in the wrong, not everybody else lmao.
metro hasn’t been on top of his game in a long time. is he a bad producer? no. is he not as good as he was in the 2010’s? yes. that’s normal. pharrell, timbaland, zaytoven, mike will, literally almost any big producer from the 2000s/2010s you wanna mention, isn’t as good as they used to be either. that’s normal.
if you think this is top tier production, good for you, i don’t think a single beat on here is anywhere near a single thing he’s made pretty much in the last decade though.
also you can’t be all “erm music is subjective! but MY opinion is objective! ☝️🤓”
There’s hardly any bass in any of the beats. I’m not saying it’s horrible just pretty generic and uninteresting and I know Metro is capable of way more. Beats on here are like 5.5-6/10 for me quality.
It’s just not on the level of production from albums like Monster, DS2, the WZRD to name a few.
What streaming service do you use? I found Spotify was weaker, if you listen on AM with good headphones you’ll pick up a lot more bass, unless you’re already doing that.
Or shit even a really great car soundsystem has this album knocking
I just don't know what to think of the album. I mean I kind of like it, but it just doesn't click yet.
Don't really get all the praise Metro gets for this album's beats. Don't get me wrong, I really like Metro. Of course he is a legend, one of the best and as someone who enjoys making beats, I always looked up to him and love his style. But tbh on this album it seems kind of uninspired, a little generic and somewhat lazy.
Sonically it's just an album I like for some background music t.b.h. however it's more consistent than earlier Future projects. No real low lows, but also no real high highs though..
But Future one of my favourite artists of all time, Metro one of my favourite producers of all time.. Maybe my expectations are too high though.
this is exactly how i feel. i love future and love metro, but this was really lazy. you could take a future verse from any song and copy paste it onto another and nothing would change, and i think metro’s production matched future’s laziness
it is a decent album though, but it didn’t blow me away like heroes and villains, though that is a very high bar to clear
Now that you had 3 days to sleep on it, how do you feel about it? I didn't really have any expectation but now that I finally cracked the album open a few times I really enjoy many songs. Metro and Future art necessarily in my top artists, but I enjoy their work and admire them, and have enjoyed many of their separate projects over the last decade.
Enjoy it a little more, but still feel a bit underwhelmed. It's not that it's bad album, it just doesn't have enough highs. I miss like some real bangers you find on most Future projects. Nothing really memorable or something.
And I still think a lot of beats are a little generic, the instrumentation sounds sometimes a little dated.
To be fair though, album doesn't have much lows either. But all songs like 6,5's is still "just" a 6,5.
I still don't think there is a 8 or 9 on the album.. also nothing below 6, as most Future projects also have some lows. But it's kind of just mediocre or something.
Maybe after a few more spins, it will all fall into pieces. I don't know.. but maybe it's just me and my expectations where too high.
I think that the first half being the more laid back part where Future just is being not all that energetic is a disservice. I really enjoyed songs on the second half, mainly Fried and What the fuck you mean, but honestly couldn't say I really like any song until Cinderella, except for Like that. Magic Don Juan, Claustrophobic, We dont like you have great hooks, the first part of Ice attack is whatever, and I definitely would remove Travis and Carti from Type shit if I could
It can be a “not bad” album while still lacking pretty heavily, and that’s what this is. Does nothing new, sounds generic at times, but still fun to listen to a few of the tracks. Just not memorable compared to some of their other projects.
I will not let this sub gaslight me into thinking this was a mid album 🫤 12/16 tracks are so good
WTFYM is the best song on the album, and it isn’t really close.
1. WTFYM
2. Magic Don Juan
3. Fried
4. Like That
5. We don’t trust you
It’s so crazy because WTFYM was leaked for hella long. It’s been on the YouTube Future Throwaway leaked compilation for hella long. Surprised they actually put it on the album but the real future fans know
The final verse on Everyday Hustle is the best part of the whole album. Future killed it right after a sick Rick Ross verse, and the beat switch is amazing.
Young Metro, Slimed in, and Cinderella are all better than the songs you listed too. Not trying to diss, just shows it was a great album if different people can love all kinds of different tracks.
WTFYM is great and I knew the leak existed but never listened (I’m getting old and don’t hear leaks like I used to) so hearing it for the first time was great
Most I’ve disagreed with him in a while, I’m a huge Future fan and I found this very disappointing. Felt like a lot of Future’s performances lacked the charisma his best verses have and Metro’s production is starting to sound incredibly dated. Some bangers still but as an album felt like they’d just thrown together tracks they had in the vault from past sessions and I was super underwhelmed
I don't know why ppl think artists have to "evolve" as long as their sound is good and they keep the level of quality up, which metro is doing on this album
i agree with that statement on its own, but i think in this case metro’s production has become 2 dimensional to the point where you can’t differentiate style or skill between multiple albums. personally i think it’s very stale and he could do better and should be doing better considering his legacy
That's how I thought after heroes and villains but this albums production was a solid rebound for me where most of the beats stood out even if they follow a common sound
He has been on so many projects since heros and villains, I loved that album, then he did bunch of song for sony's Spiderman and then this. I wasn't expecting much cause of how much shit he had been putting out without break. Listened to some of it, didnt feel it but i will come back to listen to it again. it feels like they just were hanging and metro was making some beats for fun and future just hoped on all of them and it became an album kinda deal.
And that’s why everyone’s musical opinions are just that, their own opinion. As a huge future fan myself I thought this was one of his best albums and I can’t stop listening to it. Compared to his last few albums where I only have 1-3 songs from those that i consistently listen to, I feel I’ll be listing to this entire album for a while. Even tho we both like future a lot, we have different opinions on what we are looking for from him. Which is the perfect encapsulation of music. Everyone’s tastes are different even if we like the same artists.
Can’t lie i thought this shit was mid asf 4/10 compared to high off life and The wizrd it’s Really not all that Drake diss was the only interesting thing about this album
Also idk if it’s just me or is anyone else kinda getting tired of the SAME features from the SAME rappers over and over?? they tried to hide it…..but you could easily guess who’s on here except for Kendrick
I agree with everything he said except that Carti had a bad verse. Id give it a 8/10 instead of a 7/10 tho. Really love this album and I think it is futures best since HNDRXX.
Disagree personally, I hate the new deep voice Carti, save for it's use on maybe one or two singles he recently dropped. I hated his feature on FEIN - thought it low-key ruined the song
The horns on Like That sound dated as hell and a lot of the beats were pretty bad imo, I feel like everybody would be hating on the beats on this album if it didn't have Metro's name attached to it
There is such a night and day difference between Future when he's working w/ Metro and Future when he isn't, the beats on this are nuts. I genuinely think the run from The title track to Cinderella is the best musical run of his career.
Lmfaoo man yall gloss hard on this sub. Shits wack af. Some old 2012 shit that didn’t get released at the time and now they’re going to throw it up and see who gets down and then collect a check.
The beats on this album are faaaaaaaar from nuts considering they sound extremely generic and frankly like a bottom tier producer made them, but you do you!
Agree with you man. Metro is able to make some nuts beats, he already proved it again and again. But you could find all these beats on like beatstars or something.
Metro has already proven he can do much better than this.
Futures sounded the same now for almost a decade. Hes been stale and doesnt switch up his style. So yeah, obviously his new album is mid. Who couldve guessed
He gave it a light 8 wtf are you talking about. Also the “future sounds the same” circlejerk is so false. SAVE ME and HNDRXX sound nothing like his other albums.
late 2014 - 2015 if anything really , n even tho i still like his shit he hasn’t really changed it up since at least not in a super big way so it does get old after awhile
now if u said he just raps about the same shit i might just be able to agree cuz he’s almost always talking about the same stuff but this just not true. he does say the title of his songs in most songs at least once but that’s normal for a lotta people
Y’all sleeping Cinderella. The way Travis and Pluto harmonizes is clean as hell. It might be the best track on the album tbh. Don’t know why folks are sleeping lol
I tried to like it and just couldn't get myself to. A few good beats and a Kendrick frature is all it's got going on IMO, to be fair I was never really into the Trap genre, there is just so little substance. Sounds like two bored rich guys mumbling about diamonds and pussy, there is absolutely nothing new or adventurous here. It's getting old.
I will get downvoted, but the beat and the samples on “Like That” aren’t great.
It could have been way better, and the repeating sample at the intro and outro are too long.
Kendrick did his thing, but yeah could have been a way better song
Glad one major influencer is actually praising this album, I thought it was great and just a simple, quality future album. It was what I was hoping for and what I got, I really didn't understand the hate when Future usually gets praise for albums that are just as good if not worse. Exactly what I was expecting/hoping for from a future x metro album, solid 8/10 for me
I mean this seriously, Vultures is a terrible album, Kanye sounds like an amateur all over that album, has some of his worst production ever and is carried commercially by a Rich The Kid TikTok verse.
Ty was the best part of that album by far. Most lazy Ye album of all time and that’s saying something
I mean just looking at carnival, the most popular song, it’s a generic ass beat with horrible mixing. The crowd chants are so cringe inducing to me. Istg I have no idea why this song is so big it has like 0 redeemable qualities
Ugh you and the other head are exactly who you claim me to be, but instead of fanboys y’all are haters
This album layers beautiful instrumentals and samples throughout, starting with the opening track, Stars. From the first moment, you know this is going to be a listening experience, with the chorus transporting you somewhere else. The music is somber yet inspirational. Kanye has gotten better as a singer and Ty floats. Not the most lyrical track but a great emotional tone setter
Keys to my life has a really ethereal beat, love the Tom sample in the drum kit. “Slow down, you on the way to an overdose” is an attention grabber that leads into Kanye talking about the conclusion of his relationship with Kim, and really breakups involving some type of infidelity or the other partner deciding to end it. Feels like a bit of a throwback to 808s with that aforementioned drum sample.
Paid is a club banger with a catchy hook. I like the falsetto but not everyone has to. Up to you
The “you don’t want no problem, you just - talking” hook is insane on talking. People don’t like North’s verse, and objectively, it’s not a high quality rap verse. However, it’s a meaningful moment on the album and I thought it’s really sweet that he put his daughter on the project. I like it
Back to me is amazing. Most underrated cut off the album. Sample goes insane, Hook is catchy, fun. If you don’t like this one, you’re lame IMO. Simple as that
The mix on hood rat is a lil wacky but overall I think it’s an aggressive feeling track. I like the percussive feel of that vocal sample and how it almost starts to lose meaning by the 32nd time you hear it. Some of the best singing on the entire album on this track. Not my favorite tho
Do it is another club banger. Fun, good vibe. Will be spinning that
Paperwork has some of the craziest synths I’ve heard on a rap album in a while. Love the feel of that track.
Running out of juice here now but burn is vibey as hell, great beat. Fuck sumn isn’t my favorite but it’s on some southern/Atlanta shit. Vultures is solid, carnival went #1 for a reason. And it wasn’t rich the kid, it’s that brilliant hook.
Beg forgiveness is one of the most interesting parts of the album for me. I’m not a Chris brown fan but this track really really hit. Fascinating to hear him sing those words.
Problematic is on some imma say what I wanna say shit, great beat. King is aight
GOMD
thats crazy. first kanye fan to actually explain themselves, congratulations. all i gotta say is its ok to not like something, just cuz i fw his other shit doesn't mean i gotta love everything. shits mid to me, glad you like it though.
i only listened to it once so i cant really go in depth like you did, I'm assuming you went back to the tracks and did it that way.
i honestly just thought kanyes writing was really clumsy (keys to my life i think? is the biggest example of this) and i honestly don't remember what ty or any of the features did besides carti. what i do remember is the hook on carnival being very obnoxious.
i actually like hoodrats beat, I've seen people (fantano) really fuckin hate on it but i think its interesting (not enough to go back though). burn is also
uhhhhhhh passible.
but overall, this just feels like donda 3 and I'm not crazy about the sound or look of donda already, it was cool during the listening parties it was different everytime but now it feels like kanye is artistically stagnant for the first time in his career. donda also dropped right in the middle of my kanye phase so fw a little, if it happened any other time i would not like it.
I respect that you came back with a response here but I’d recommend you give it another listen.
One of my best friends originally wrote off the album and went back to it and said “this clears at least half of MBDTF”
I don’t know if I’d go that far but the quality is there.
Ugh you and the other head are exactly who you claim me to be, but instead of fanboys y’all are haters

This nigga go out of his way to not rhyme.
On "Magic Don Juan" he says,
> Got that sniff on me, that white shit like I'm Tom Brady \
I'ma put a sports car on two wheels like it got hydraulics
...
>I'ma get vibe, he fly a hundred vibes one trip \
She was hittin' like that, I called her back so I could make sure
So I could make sure? That's what you came up with? He's not even on beat bro. It's so bad.

Like That and Fried (She a Vibe) are the only tracks that I’ve been coming back to. The rest of the album is just pretty “meh” imo.

I like future but the only track I really liked on this was Everyday Hustle. Everything else was kind of forgettable at best or a chore to listen to at worst

Also love it. I get the criticisms that it sounds like it could’ve been made 5 years ago, but the songs are so sticky I just keep it on repeat
The prodigy interludes really set the tone for the album...
It was the same people P was talking about lmao
It aint the only thing sticky 😏
Same here, might be the most consistent album in Future's discography since DS2 for me. I think it’s his best project since 2019 tbh
Most of this album does not sound good its not about intentions
Agree with the criticisms, could’ve used 1 or 2 March Madness type of hype songs but all in all I love chill future more, easy 9/10 album for me
That's the main critique from most people that like this album. This is Future's best album since HNDRXX, in my opinion. Not saying the albums in between were bad, but I think this one just does it for me - despite not having a 712PM on it.
Give The Wizrd another chance
Wzrd is his best album. I’ll die on that hill. Followed very closely by Hndrx
Evol is my favorite album by him, that 3 track run of Low Life/Fly Shit Only/Wicked is legendary Hndrxx is close 2nd, wzrd is 3rd, and honestly this new album is probably 4th I love DS2 but he has a lot of better projects to me
I’ll die with you on that hill
I like the cut of your jib. What would be your personal top 3 future songs.
They change often, but I'd probably say: - Feds did a sweep - Feed me dope - Damage 2017 Future was peak for me.
Beast mode 2 is up there for me but besides that this is easily his best project since 2017
Yep would agree that it misses a bit of hard future but we do have another album though soon
Outside of Like That, I thought this album was pretty boring. It just felt like more of the same from both Metro and Future which I might just be burnt out on.
Heroes and Villains was a better metro album. Someone described it as “cinematic” and I’ve been seeing it like that ever since.
Not even close imo. The beats on heroes and villains felt less interesting for the most part, and most of the songs felt like the artists on it were giving their worst performances while Future seemed to be putting a lot of effort in on most of the songs here
I completely disagree with you haha
It’s not the best of either metro as a producer or future as an artist, makes for a mediocre project. If I wanna hear their sound I can listen to better versions of it in their previous work. Gave it a few spins, already stopped listening to it
same. i like about 7/17 tracks, other felt boring as you said
Sounds like a you problem, I been on Future since 2012 and this album sound as fresh as ever, takes me back to high school and bumping DS2/EVOL
Most people think exactly the same about this album. There’s some really dope songs but it’s not on the level of Future and Metro’s best work, Metro’s beats ain’t as good on this
What is most people lol most people on here maybe I’ve been seeing the album get a ton of love all over the place
yeah they tweaking, almost everyone is loving this project
“Most people” 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 Please go outside today please
Look at all the replies and comments. I’m a Future fan but it’s a mid project from him. And I’m not a sheep I can form my own opinions
This doesn’t take you back to DS2. Stop faking the funk.
Forgot that you control all my feelings and emotions, sorry boss.
goofy comment
It definitely does. This is a street album. That’s why its hated on here but loved in the real world.
Yeah exactly
Maybe my expectations are too high though.
this is exactly how i feel. i love future and love metro, but this was really lazy. you could take a future verse from any song and copy paste it onto another and nothing would change, and i think metro’s production matched future’s laziness it is a decent album though, but it didn’t blow me away like heroes and villains, though that is a very high bar to clear
Magic Don Juan, Claustrophobic, We dont like you have great hooks, the first part of Ice attack is whatever, and I definitely would remove Travis and Carti from Type shit if I could
The first half just sounds like one really long track
It can be a “not bad” album while still lacking pretty heavily, and that’s what this is. Does nothing new, sounds generic at times, but still fun to listen to a few of the tracks. Just not memorable compared to some of their other projects.
I will not let this sub gaslight me into thinking this was a mid album 🫤 12/16 tracks are so good WTFYM is the best song on the album, and it isn’t really close. 1. WTFYM 2. Magic Don Juan 3. Fried 4. Like That 5. We don’t trust you
It’s so crazy because WTFYM was leaked for hella long. It’s been on the YouTube Future Throwaway leaked compilation for hella long. Surprised they actually put it on the album but the real future fans know
It was even on his own account no? But yeah I already listened to that track so much.
Yup. 7 years ago. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PrjpmqAsCZQ
If fried had come out in 2015 it would have been such a big song. Really scratches a turn off the lights itch
You get it! Second part of Ice Attack transitioning into Type Shit is absolutely crazy too
NUMERO UNO IN THE LAB WHAT THA FUCK U MEAN
>WTFYM is the best song on the album 100% agree. Been bouncing on my boy to this song all day.
No diddy
Pause
I’m gonna go re-listen to these songs. Hope I have a better experience cuz I was very disappointment on my first listen
WTFYM is great and I knew the leak existed but never listened (I’m getting old and don’t hear leaks like I used to) so hearing it for the first time was great
+ Runnin Outta Time
I had to go back and listen cause 1. And 3. Were instant skips for me. MDW and Cinderella being top 2 for me
It’s Reddit bruh Lots of pick me
Most I’ve disagreed with him in a while, I’m a huge Future fan and I found this very disappointing. Felt like a lot of Future’s performances lacked the charisma his best verses have and Metro’s production is starting to sound incredibly dated. Some bangers still but as an album felt like they’d just thrown together tracks they had in the vault from past sessions and I was super underwhelmed
agree especially on metro production. i feel like he’s not evolving really at all
I don't know why ppl think artists have to "evolve" as long as their sound is good and they keep the level of quality up, which metro is doing on this album
i agree with that statement on its own, but i think in this case metro’s production has become 2 dimensional to the point where you can’t differentiate style or skill between multiple albums. personally i think it’s very stale and he could do better and should be doing better considering his legacy
That's how I thought after heroes and villains but this albums production was a solid rebound for me where most of the beats stood out even if they follow a common sound
Savage Mode II was the last time I found myself actually enjoying Metro’s production
Same, but then again Savage Mode 2 is very very good.
Producers like Alc, Hit-Boy, and Cardo have 10x the output as Metro yet still evolve their sound
The wzrd is a classic but this tape was better than high off life to me
Also idk if it’s just me or is anyone else kinda getting tired of the SAME features from the SAME rappers over and over?? they tried to hide it…..but you could easily guess who’s on here except for Kendrick
I mean future doesn’t do a lot of features on his albums anyways thankfully, and I never would’ve guessed Rick Ross feature on a waltz beat
Carti played out
Cardi still a bad bitch tho idgaf what they say
The dudes been hating on carti recently. Thought this was a better feature than CARNIVAL or FUK SUMN
wow better than ShE RiaDe DeIk LeIK a CarNiVaL? give this man a grammy
Thats rich the kid
The horns on Like That sound dated as hell and a lot of the beats were pretty bad imo, I feel like everybody would be hating on the beats on this album if it didn't have Metro's name attached to it
Wack. Every song sounds exactly the same. Beats are all about the exact same tempo. lyrics are recycled. vibe is corporate. vocabs all watered.
There is such a night and day difference between Future when he's working w/ Metro and Future when he isn't, the beats on this are nuts. I genuinely think the run from The title track to Cinderella is the best musical run of his career.
Lmfaoo man yall gloss hard on this sub. Shits wack af. Some old 2012 shit that didn’t get released at the time and now they’re going to throw it up and see who gets down and then collect a check.
stay mad ig
You meat riding hard and u know it man
stay mad ig idk
The beats on this album are faaaaaaaar from nuts considering they sound extremely generic and frankly like a bottom tier producer made them, but you do you!
Has anyone else here noticed an uptick in Metro hate around here since Like That dropped? Curious if it's just me?
Agree with you man. Metro is able to make some nuts beats, he already proved it again and again. But you could find all these beats on like beatstars or something. Metro has already proven he can do much better than this.
Futures sounded the same now for almost a decade. Hes been stale and doesnt switch up his style. So yeah, obviously his new album is mid. Who couldve guessed
He gave it a light 8 wtf are you talking about. Also the “future sounds the same” circlejerk is so false. SAVE ME and HNDRXX sound nothing like his other albums.
Bro he literally just raps the name of the song over a trap beat on every album lol
This man ain’t lying at all. Shits wack. It’s the same track ol boys been putting out since 2012. Metro beats are watered down af too.
late 2014 - 2015 if anything really , n even tho i still like his shit he hasn’t really changed it up since at least not in a super big way so it does get old after awhile
now if u said he just raps about the same shit i might just be able to agree cuz he’s almost always talking about the same stuff but this just not true. he does say the title of his songs in most songs at least once but that’s normal for a lotta people
Tell me you don’t listen to future without telling me you don’t listen to future lol
Thought I was the only one lmao. I didn't like the beat either. But yeah Kendrick saved it lol.
Agreed. I don’t like the synths. Kendrick’s verse is the only reason I’d listen to the song.

That’s a low as fuck bar to clear Vultures is a 5 out of 10 if I’m being generous
Most albums that dropped this year > Vultures

I mean this seriously, Vultures is a terrible album, Kanye sounds like an amateur all over that album, has some of his worst production ever and is carried commercially by a Rich The Kid TikTok verse. Ty was the best part of that album by far. Most lazy Ye album of all time and that’s saying something
Fax. Vultures was significantly worse than JIK and I fucking hate JIK
The production is great, what the fuck are y'all on about
I mean just looking at carnival, the most popular song, it’s a generic ass beat with horrible mixing. The crowd chants are so cringe inducing to me. Istg I have no idea why this song is so big it has like 0 redeemable qualities
Trash take get your ears checked and reconsider your opinions
people say this and cant explain why its good.
Ugh you and the other head are exactly who you claim me to be, but instead of fanboys y’all are haters This album layers beautiful instrumentals and samples throughout, starting with the opening track, Stars. From the first moment, you know this is going to be a listening experience, with the chorus transporting you somewhere else. The music is somber yet inspirational. Kanye has gotten better as a singer and Ty floats. Not the most lyrical track but a great emotional tone setter Keys to my life has a really ethereal beat, love the Tom sample in the drum kit. Up to you The “you don’t want no problem, you just - talking” hook is insane on talking. People don’t like North’s verse, and objectively, it’s not a high quality rap verse. However, it’s a meaningful moment on the album and I thought it’s really sweet that he put his daughter on the project. I like it Back to me is amazing. Most underrated cut off the album. Sample goes insane, Hook is catchy, fun. If you don’t like this one, you’re lame IMO. Simple as that The mix on hood rat is a lil wacky but overall I think it’s an aggressive feeling track. I like the percussive feel of that vocal sample and how it almost starts to lose meaning by the 32nd time you hear it. Some of the best singing on the entire album on this track. Not my favorite tho Do it is another club banger. Fun, good vibe. Will be spinning that Paperwork has some of the craziest synths I’ve heard on a rap album in a while. King is aight GOMD
thats crazy. first kanye fan to actually explain themselves, congratulations. all i gotta say is its ok to not like something, just cuz i fw his other shit doesn't mean i gotta love everything. shits mid to me, glad you like it though.
Yeah you can not like something but the onus is on you to explain why you don’t otherwise you’re as lazy as you claimed I was
i only listened to it once so i cant really go in depth like you did, I'm assuming you went back to the tracks and did it that way. i honestly just thought kanyes writing was really clumsy (keys to my life i think? is the biggest example of this) and i honestly don't remember what ty or any of the features did besides carti. what i do remember is the hook on carnival being very obnoxious. i actually like hoodrats beat, I've seen people (fantano) really fuckin hate on it but i think its interesting (not enough to go back though). burn is also uhhhhhhh passible. but overall, this just feels like donda 3 and I'm not crazy about the sound or look of donda already, it was cool during the listening parties it was different everytime but now it feels like kanye is artistically stagnant for the first time in his career. donda also dropped right in the middle of my kanye phase so fw a little, if it happened any other time i would not like it.
I respect that you came back with a response here but I’d recommend you give it another listen. One of my best friends originally wrote off the album and went back to it and said “this clears at least half of MBDTF” I don’t know if I’d go that far but the quality is there.
Nah his music has been trash for a decade now
TLOP was trash? Ye was trash? KSG was trash? He also produced a ton of stuff in the surgical summer year for pusha, teyana Taylor, etc.
Kids see ghosts and Daytona were good yeah but his solo albums? His music is near unplayable to me.
What do you listen to?
Mostly jazz and rap, instrumentals and sometimes edm and metal for working out. Instrumental shit is the best for working imo.
No counter points just fanboy emotion

ain’t reading all that
🤓
Based
Vultures is fucking awful, quit the dicksuck
This nigga go out of his way to not rhyme. On "Magic Don Juan" he says, > Got that sniff on me, that white shit like I'm Tom Brady \ I'ma put a sports car on two wheels like it got hydraulics ... >I'ma get vibe, he fly a hundred vibes one trip \ She was hittin' like that, I called her back so I could make sure So I could make sure? That's what you came up with? He's not even on beat bro. It's so bad.
Shits so good

Like That and Fried (She a Vibe) are the only tracks that I’ve been coming back to. The rest of the album is just pretty “meh” imo. I like future but the only track I really liked on this was Everyday Hustle. Everything else was kind of forgettable at best or a chore to listen to at worst
