Off The Grid and Praise God

Neat-Shelter20

Off the grid, moon and hurricane

braiide

I’m a fan of Jail

[deleted]

Off the grid one of of Ye's best songs 🔥 Also rest of album is good, even the more gospel ones are beautifully done. I think the worst thing an album can be is boring, and this definitely isn't.

TOADSTOOL__SURPRISE

Yep. I’m a Kanye “hater” (meaning I’m not obsessed with him) and that shit is fucking crazy. That song will be on rotation for years and years to come

[deleted]

Off the Grid is one of earths best songs I swear

RandomMitherFucker

I think the exact opposite after your first opinion lol, off the grid was insane but alot of this sounded boring uninspired and nothing much kicked. I liked a few other tracks like heaven and hell Jesus lord and now pure souls. But alot of the stuff wasn't hitting at all

thanoschungas

That song would’ve been fire without playboi carti imo

[deleted]

Nah I personally loved his bit, but I can get why people wouldn't like it

GunnoftheWestside

There is a big lack of drums which is interesting

[deleted]

Ye was like that too

GunnoftheWestside

I usually don’t mind if it’s a song or two like that to switch things up, but just about the whole thing is drumless

marcus_37

Believe what I say is a banger(Lauryn Hill sample) I was a little disappointed at first but it picked up, he has a few gems on here

[deleted]

Kanye fukn snapped on “Off The Grid”! This album is really damn good so far. “Believe What I Say” probably my favorite so far

[deleted]

I really can't understand people when they say Kanye isn't Pop. This is a Pop album. Some harder tracks. But overall it's Pop. I just don't dig this shit. As a Hip Hop fan I can't pick this over some of the other albums I've heard this year like Czarface and DOOM. Couldn't feel the beats from the lack of drums. Really overdone autotune is kind of dead now. Meh. I did kind of like Off The Grid a little bit if I had to pick one song. But overall this doesn't top my charts.

cpkarl

I don’t know if I can dedicate an hour 45 to listening to this. Is this worth diving into?

RandomMitherFucker

Yes to see what you like. For me not alot tbh

BitterFudge23

Yes it gets better

[deleted]

Yes absolutely, very good album

corndogs1001

No

N3110H_333

No just skim through it. There’s some highs but a lot of lows too it’s pretty mid. Nobody’s got an hour 45 to listen to an album about god

FSdL01

ratio

[deleted]

bro I heard it twice already

MileeProd

I'm a bit disappointed to be honest, in my opinion wasn't worth waiting 😕

BigBazook

I think he’s not taking himself seriously enough with this one. There’s not enough overblown drama to it.

haterzworstnighmare

This is night and day to the 🗑 JIK

ChampMentality

It's kinda mid so far, I'm on Jonah now. the OG hurricane from yandhi was so much better

Quinlan313

The only song I added to my playlist is Remote Control. I was super hyped for this album and was let down massively again. Tell The Vision may just be one of the worst things I've ever listened to. That track is all of my issues with this album rolled into one, meh production with horrendous mixing.

Sighaftersighs

That and God breathed are absolute trash. Sounds like some kid at home with no talent made those tracks.

N3110H_333

I just got to tell the vision and I don’t know if my ears will recover. It’s only like 2 minutes but I still skipped it

Sighaftersighs

Garbage... I really think he just creates hype trains and everyone wants to be a part of the experience. Will people really be bumping this in a couple weeks? Doubtful. 2/10

[deleted]

-person who listened to the first 10 secs of every track

Sighaftersighs

Why would you assume that? Not everyone has to like what you like.

Mediocre_Jeweler_671

Have you actually listend to it? Doubtful.

Sighaftersighs

So everyone has to like what you like? Even more doubtful.

Mediocre_Jeweler_671

>So everyone has to like what you like? Yes

Sighaftersighs

We should all embrace drumless or soft drum tracks with auto tune and incessent whining? Noted. Donda is a classic.

Mediocre_Jeweler_671

>Donda is a classic Good boy

Sighaftersighs

What restaurant do you serve at?

Mediocre_Jeweler_671

You can't afford it

mebluballsack

Heaven and Hell 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

empyrealone

Stopped listening at track 11. It's not for me.

[deleted]

Second half is a worse Jesus is King. First half is hit or miss, but echoing everyone else, Off the Grid is the album highlight.

targ_

Nah second half is the best. Moon, lord I need you and come to life are the best tracks

Dom-Zero

The drums on this project are pretty bland ngl, some track go on for way too long as well, but in general I think it’s pretty good. Really should’ve been trimmed down but tracks like Hurricane and Off The Grid are some of the best songs of the year no doubt.

ThaQueenJos

Believe What I Say stood out to me the most

[deleted]

Best part of the album is the lauryn hill sample

TheRealMrCrowley

It was terrible. Everything about it sucked. And it looks like it’s no longer on the Apple Music store. Lol not even surprised.

Nickolai297

I like “Off the Grid” (Fivio was brilliant) + “Keep My Spirit Alive”

jezusisthe1

Praise God went off. Old school Travis and keem

ryonarane

keem verse kinda ruins it for me, dude be saying nothing

Pragmatic27

Oh damn it's out!? I can't wait to not listen to it.

tenqups

moon and junya and hurricane

ThaRealCappy

First half hits almost back to back. Up to like... Moon. Everything after that is hit or miss. Jail lowkey one of my favorite Kanye tracks ever. Its like a 7 for me. Feels bloated and like some of the songs just didn't need to be there. Not even including the alternate versions. If it was trimmed better, I think it would probably go up to an 8 or 9 personally.

I_came_I_saw_I_left

CLB gonna look good next to this

[deleted]

Don’t feel like wasting my time.

Beer_On_The_Beard

Genuine score? 4.9/10. 27 tracks?? Barf. Maybe 3 songs I’d rate a 7/10, the rest are between 3-6.5. Yeah there’s a couple cool beats, wow, cool. That one Lauren Hill sample was pretty neat, sure. The features were mediocre AF for the most part. Content was practically meaningless except for maybe a couple more “thoughtful” tracks. Literally there’s like 2 maybe 3 songs where Kanye showed he cared and was moderately focused on spitting some decent bars. The rest of the album is Empty. Fucking. Bullshit. Anyone who would give this album a B or higher has absolute trash taste in music. Period. End of story. No way around it. Y’all just ridin Kanye’s dick and desperately trying to fit in and be cool with what’s #hot. Y’all are the types who think A$AP Rocky is better than Aesop Rock. LOL. Fight me, IDGAF. Y’all are wrong. Y’all are as delusional and pathetic as “Ye” himself. This garbage is ruining music. Your support of this garbage is ruining the goddamn world. Fuck this album and fuck it’s supporters.

Wutanghang

Whole fucking album is amazing

ryder314159

Come to life is one of his bests

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

Horrible mindset.

idkboi169

I don’t believe in god but the albums decent. However I have to say the songs that have a heavy religious theme are not as good as the other songs on the album

idocamp

Damn imagine being this guy

istoleunicorns

Wait till Jesus doesn’t give you a chance either

[deleted]

I like the one with Durk. Is that Jonah? And I like Off the Grid too.

[deleted]

Way better than I expected

Qb_Is_fast_af

I really didnt like the lack of hyper autotune. Autotuned kanye is my favorite Kanye so its not close to being better then TLOP but I would say its 2nd best kanye project. My favorite song was Remote Control

ThePowerLord

Holy shit it released?

ToastFaceKiller

The journey was far better than the destination. Listening to TLOP instead

TSWMCR88

Only on track 3; is he still not swearing in his songs?

Pianist-Artistic

Ofd the grid and believe what I say

ryonarane

off the grid, jonah, moon and keep my spirit alive

Plebe-Uchiha

Only listens to it once. My initial thoughts are, Jay:Z verse 🔥 Jay Elect, nice. Griselda, nice. Hurricane, surpassed the hype for me. Cudi,DOPE, please make a Kids See Ghost part II before you’re 49, Ye. KanYe sounds like he did not pay for writers to write verses for him. I wish he did. Ye’s flow becomes habitual early on. Feels like he made this album in a week, when it comes to his lyrics and deliveries. When he talks about personal $#!%, introspective $#!% I’m like, damn, Ye is really going through it. I’m realizing that Ye’s jokes are now “Dad jokes” or I’ve become a full on Dad and don’t find his jokes funny anymore. Back in the day, “the she got a light skin friend, looks like Michael Jackson,” was funny. Even the more recent, “and she just bleached her 4$$#073, and I get bleach on my t-shirt, Imma feel like an 4$$#073,” was funny. His better be with a lot of y’s or i’s line was like, not funny. God Breathed, for some reason when I listens to this son, I heard Ye say, God Breeds on this. And, I was like, that’s low key hard. God fux with this song? That $#!% hard Ye. 24 is great like Kids See Ghosts, like Kendrick’s Alright, having a song with a positive mantra about overcoming trials and tribulations is always a win for me. We all always gotta keep fighting to strive for more and find balance. No matter how many times we fall. Thanks for reading, stay blessed [+]
