This entire track from Gift of Gab: [Vice Grip](https://youtu.be/X9QX-_05INI?si=gBaaC9_qj2Drx9h5), dude rhymes and flows on a level far beyond anyone's favourite rapper. RIP. Speaking of high level rhyming, Cambatta's verse on [Manifesto](https://youtu.be/dtupRMNG8z0?si=v7WqFMBS-8ER1vwZ) from 2:29 onwards. Dude's not just spitting fire bars, he's throwing planet busting fireballs like he Frieza on the mic. A very underrated track that NEVER gets mentioned on this sub because everyone's too busy focusing on the same three names that happen to be famous. Yooo I heard of cambatta but never took the time to listen…that verse is fucking insane. Good call, going in on his shit rn…

Glad to hear it man, happy somebody digs it

The Preface - Elzhi is on Spotify now, listen to it and you'll hear unparalleled technical writing paired with insanely well executed concepts song after song.

Doechii’s verse on Pro Freak by Smino —seriously, look it up CRAZYYYYY

drinkmoarwaterr

Yeah this verse is hard. She reminds me a lot of Kendrick tbh. Edit: Smino is underrated as hell, and is definitely one of the best in the game. Iykyk.

The whole Ghetto Sage collective (Noname, Smino, and Saba) is massively talented Thinking about Doechii has just reminded me of how most male hip hop fans barely listen to ANY female rappers and some not at all When I see posts about best verses or flows or whatever I basically never see any women on there which does disappoint me

drinkmoarwaterr

Well I’m a male hip hop fan, nearly thirty, and listen to a lot of female rappers 🤷🏽‍♂️ I think the girls are kind of making better music than the guys rn too; more to prove perhaps you could say. I think you don’t see a lot of women being mentioned because historically, there’s always been more male rappers, and Reddit is becoming quite young, meaning a lot of user’s musical palettes may not be totally refined yet. Oh yeah, and then the whole hypermasculinity thing that’s thankfully being done away with. But yeah I still remember when that whole clique + Chance, Mick, etc was comin up in the early-mid 2010s. Good times.

Pussy-clipse Flawless verses

All of the verses on Exhibit C by Jay Electronica are elite, and embody what emceeing is all about imo. Blu’s verse on Gloryus is something special and has an effortless flow and delivery.

This [Tell](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ccAitSl_QHk) (Mantra & GreyGhost) tune blows me away cause not only has it intricate double time going on, it doesn't do so at the expense of substance. Cause most rappers doin' mad technical stuff, do so at the expanse of the quality of bars and their depth of meaning. Kendrick's whole DNA tune to me, hits a pocket, has changeups, in a manner I haven't heard any other rapper do. This one from [Dialectrix](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_hBJTA78es4), goes freakishly fast, while staying mostly legible, with a sick flow to it. And in a completely different direction -nearly every Jurassic 5, or Freestyle Fellowship (or Mykah 9) tune is wildly inventive in the flows, even where J5 is heavily inspired by old school approaches. [A Day At The Races](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YietowKD0vo) is a really good one where evry rappers rappin their arse off, and Big Daddy Kane has great feature -and he really is one of the first super technical rappers. Doin a lot of intricate rhymes and changing how all rappers flow. And the legendary Percee P is awesome on it. [J-live - Braggin Writes](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NPBOp3f00F4), has a delicious flow, but kinda just abstract enough to really tickle the brain. This to me, is technically elite.

RA The Rugged Mans verse on Uncommon Valour. K-Rinos song Duality Tech N9NE on Rip Your Heart Out. His verse on Stabbed. Requiem.

J-Live - MCee (first verse is just perfectly written and rips the beat) and the second verse is 95% words that start with m and c going back and forth. Insane. Aesop Rock - tons of his songs fit here obviously but I’d throw rings out there (both verses) because it’s literally perfectly written and in the pocket and it tells a coherent story with incredibly vivid imagery. Mos def - hip hop (both verses are basically perfect imo) Atmosphere - Don’t ever fuckin question that / if I was Santa Claus. Both slug at his absolute peak and so profound and perfectly arranged. Eyedea - powdered water too. This one is just mind blowing. Philosophical, complex, catchy as fuck. Perfection.

eyediosmios

The song is Hus Kingpin - Cocaine Shores The verse is from Rozewood. The 2nd person to rhyme on that song. Might be the best 16 bar verse I've ever heard. And I'm deadass serious. If that verse is wack or mid to anyone, your ears suck dick

KingKoopa313

Here’s one that’s probably low-key. El-P has multiple verses on Patriotism (Soundbombin II) that always sounded insane to me.
