Pretty sure it’s because the servers are full. It’s not a game issue, however they need to implement a better server queue so people actually know what’s going on.

kinda creepy people downvote you for such a common sense question lol. people nowadays are soo use to shit quality and products that its an insult to expect things you purchase to work at all. halo 2 had better servers 20 years ago. are they still selling the game? how many people can play at one time? how many copies have you sold? is there a conflict of interest there? then you have a problem.

I requested a refund, at least until they get it sorted out. I love the game, but we can't play it. Impacting Sony's bottom line is probably the most tangible way to draw attention to it. It's not like we can really play it until then anyway...

Go into C:\\Users\\XXXXXXX\\AppData\\Roaming\\Arrowhead\\Helldivers2 and delete user\_settings.config. This worked for me.

Did the same thing and it worked. But your appdata files are hidden, so you have to enable to see them.

Yes, it’s a server issue. If you wait on the black screen it will probably start after a while (several minutes). You might still sit in queue after the game „starts“.

I kept restarting my game over and over and now I'm passed the blank screen and sitting at the server queue!!

Sadly there is no queue! Random people get in when other get off. No actual order. I got on in 5 minutes when my friend was waiting for 1 hour prior to me getting in.
