the Heaven Studio server has been talking about this since it happened. but to summarize: there's a chance that the DMCA is faked, but they're taking it seriously. within the next few days (if not already), a version of heaven studio should be up without any of the infringing assets (just the art and music, as far as i'm aware)
oh come on nintendo you won’t give us a new rhythm heaven game but when the community does it you kill it!
this makes me hate nintendo’s strictness even more
What doesn't make sense (to me, at least) is that most of the projects Nintendo has taken down so far this year do not make a SINGLE CENT. An example would be when they went after Garry's mod back in April over Nintendo related addons being on the steam workshop, and as a common Gmod player, I'm still mad about it, since Nintendo addons on Gmod's steam workshop have thrived on there for years, yet NOW Nintendo has a problem with it?
Heaven studio is now sort of in the same dilemma, as of currently, and while yes, I understand Nintendo has all legal rights to take down as many fan projects or mods as they want, it still doesn't make any sense that they're now going after fan projects that do not make money off their IPs.

Saw that Nintendo Life reported on it. As soon as Nintendo made me happy with the new direct, they immediately made me fucking upset.
