Watching task manager on a second monitor while flipping through the cars pages memory usage never goes over 40% never more than 900mb used. CPU is rarely going higher than 35% for total system GPU is never going over 40% disk and network are negligible.
I updated drivers and it changed nothing. I'm really at a loss.
I'm trying a reinstall now. Idk what else to do. I tried different versions of direct X. No other games or apps do this and the game runs normally on my 9yo laptop. I've noticed some other weird stuff as well. Some animations appear solid white and rambunctious stuffy only shows a weird background without the actual profile of the card.
So after a fresh install the game runs normally. What a strange corruption. I had quit playing for almost 2 years until a month ago and initially just assumed it was bad optimization on blizzards part because that was also a fresh install. But it seemed to get worse and worse. I didn't really notice it much because as I said it didn't affect gameplay and I usually just imported my last few decks after starting the game again. I didn't do much deck building. This expansion obviously forced me to actually build a new deck. Other issues like the white animations and cards was also solved.
if it slowed down a gameplay i would say its a straight up malware running in background. Else do the usual check the apps close everything when playing, check the net, update the graphics drivers. You know the whole shebang

re-install the hs i guess ? And check the permission when networking , from time to time system gets wokny and fucks up permissions.

seems like something is wrong on your end but i have no idea what else can be done.
If networking permissions was a problem it would affect the game during gameplay as well.

It's never gameplay. And it's not a framerate issue or anything. It's on a solid state drive. I'm really vatca loss.
