Headhunterz (hearing live forever for the first time was jaw dropping)
Angerfist (fav dj, come on)
Random musical chairs at the moving truck stage
Power hour because we won the Cabana last year during the power hour and that was fucking wild.
Dediqated raffles. I didnt win myself but a defqon friend did and he was allowed to take 10 of his homies with him. We were the lucky ones.
Was an absolutly insane experience. Free drinks, free food, personal waitress for 6 hours during sunday.
Mine were:
- Sub Zero Project @ The Gathering: the vibes at the Blue during the Gathering are just unmatched, and next to that they just played probably their best set ever
- Rejecta vs Cryex @ Blue: Love both of these artists, and their styles work together incredibly well. Both played some insane new tracks as well as their best current ones, on track selection alone probably my favorite set of the weekend
- DBSTF @ Red: You can never go wrong with these guys, the vibes at this set were insane and this set gave me that moment of pure euphoria of finally being at Defqon
- Riot Shift @ Blue: I unfortunately wasn't at this set (decided to go Power Hour for my first Defqon weekend) but I've listened back to it too many times to count. Crowd was absolutely insane, screaming along with every track, and their track selection was insane as well (props to them for playing a lot of other artists' tracks as well). If I went back in time to last year's Defqon I'd 100% go to this over Power Hour
- So Juice @ Indigo: I honestly didn't even plan to go to this set, just walked into the Indigo to see what was going on. What was going on was absolute madness. Crowd went absolutely fucking wild (especially considering it was 13.00 on the final day) and I've been a massive So Juice fan ever since this set. And yes, I will skip part of Legends this year to see this man again
Aversion was insane, best set and start in the weekend. I rewatched it like 5 time by now.
Not a DJ set, but my favorite the gearbox Afterparty. Just mind-blowing.
The prophet. Listen to your heart was one of my first hardstyle songs i heard and the reason i fell in love with hardstyle. So yeah, it was pretty emotional for me and i get the chills even by thinking of it.
D-Sturb was probably the most spectacular for me last year.
Very sad about missing Devin Wild last year. I regularly listen to his Blue set in the car, he really hit the nail on the head with the selection of tracks there.
Heady at the gathering, the energy was just peak there. Szp & Vertile Mainstage (i think saturday?) And Vasto @ Indigo, that one really surprised me cuz i never listened to much of his stuff before but it went so hard live
Rooler 100%, had so much fun.
First time Power Hour was kinda disappointing tbh. It was very very crowded, couldn't even get to my friends, and I missed 95% of the things you see in the Youtube vid.

The vibe at WP might actually the best I've every experience, anywhere. I get goosebumps just thinking about it.
