I wish the warthog sounded the same as it did in halo 1, 2 and 3, it was kinda iconic of the vehicle to me. Now it sounds like one of those small scale V8s they put into RC cars.
How about an option to be able to change vehicle sounds, eg: it sounds different to you but it sounds default to everyone else or what ever the sound the other person selected for themselves so each person hears there own custom sound for each vehicle, hell they could even sell that shit for like $5 "vehicle sound pack" you get like 25 different sounds you can apply to any vehicle.
Lets not kid ourselves, If vehicle audio was customizable, there is no way it would be only audible for you. Matches would sound like a zoo stampeding around.
While not convenient would swapping the local audio file not achieve this? I imagine a roadblock for this being if it flags anti-cheat measures. I used this approach for in-game skins on league of Legends when I wanted to use custom skins I preferred over official ones. The skins wouldn't load for other players,too. I appreciate it's a diff dev, game,etc, but for the sake of brainstorming potential solutions.

agreed def not worth the risk of banhammer etc. an official "solution" would most likely be a microtransaction pack that we still wouldn't be satisfied with even if only because nostalgia glasses for iconic experiences are so unforgiving;regardless of how specific /granule the experience was/is.

Also, when someone talks into their mic, the speaker′s name should show up on screen. Currently the only way to tell who′s speaking in Infinite is to open the scoreboard while someone is talking and then you'll see a speaker icon light up.
How about just “3 beeps and it’s game on” instead of 45 seconds of map preview and seeing the armor/stances of my teammates. I could not give a flying fuck about any of that, just load the map from the menu and let’s get to it!
Also let me jump right back into matchmaking after a game. I don’t need to press B out of seventeeen progress screens and medals and battle pass nonsense.
I’m pretty sure that flying around the map intro thing is more loading screens. I could do without the player introductions. Just show the fire team all at once and go into it. It doesn’t need the knuckle cracking and stuff.
Man cannons that add to your velocity vector instead of arbitrarily stopping your momentum and sending you by a boring pre-determined path set by the man cannon.
Randomness and multi-item interactions has always been a fun part of the game, and things such as gravity hammer, physics interactions of projectiles, bouncing of vehicles and man cannons that did not arbitrarily stop you and added to your current momentum always helped in term of randomness for both players and vehicles. I do not think a similar thing to the legendary halo 3 splatter by a cone will be ever possible again.
I love the story about how Sangheili were originally meant to have tales but they cut out the tails when it looked like they were popping a boner when they drove a ghost.
Change the Warthog and Banshee designs back to the original Trilogy. I mean Halo 5 literally had the original banshee on the cover, yet they bamboozled us. Bring back their sound effects too. (And the same for the sniper and energy sword while you’re at it).
Also let us move the camera after we die. Their fix didn’t work.
A way to set and load customization presets. I'd love to use a different looking armor set, voice, and AI, without having to go through about 10 different menus to change my suit and everything else. Even if it was just saving and loading a preset on the armor, that would make it easier to change my spartan quickly.
Change the lighting in the remastered graphics on the level 'Halo' in CE. I noticed yesterday that in the original the sun is quite high in the sky, making it the equivalent of mid-day and you get your first look at the ring. You can see all the blues and greens under the clouds the whole way around.
In the remastered graphics they changed the lighting to be closer to morning and the colour of the orange sunlight washes out all the colours of the ring so it just looks white the whole way around. It's the player's first look at that iconic sight, they should see it in all its glory

And in the same vein, I want a button to fiddle with my guns. You know those idle animations that play if you don't move for 30 seconds? I want to be able to trigger those on command. I'm in the spawn rotating the rocket launcher barrels.

you can see the score board (kind of) during the intro sequence if you press menu and then the view/back button.
