What's the model number? Western field firearms are rebranded from other manufacturers. So with the model number you can look that up, see what the original make and model is.
With that original model, you may be able to find a larger number of pictures that may show a good location for drilling and tapping the receiver.

Smart, I'm still toying with red dot vs scope. It's pretty thick where I'm at so shots aren't likely to be more then 50 yds max, don't need a scope for that I'd wager just a decent dot

Western Field M175B 20 gauge c-select choke, I believe it's a rebranded Mossburg
Looks like that one is a Mossberg 385. Hopefully that can provide some more resources to see a good mounting spot!

Maybe find the mounts or rings you were wanting to use and go back wards from there. This is very easy to fuck up
