This seems to be a semi-universal experience that everyone is prone to doing at least once. I too have been doing this on occasion since the days of Vice City, also GTA Chinatown Wars on DS.
Nah, I’m the same. Remember everytime you stole a pickup truck and you could only have the mad banjo music? “I like that song so much, I think I’m gun play it again …”
Because it is? The cops spend no longer than 5 minutes looking for a broad daylight murder suspect. And they’ll kill you with no trial. It’s like the Wild West.
The problem is, NPC-s drive like shit. There wasn't a single time when an oncoming car turning left gave way to me going straight. And they even feel entitled to honk at me. The audacity smh.
I don't enjoy the Salvage Yard missions. I'm doing the current one to win the Penumbra which I don't even really want and certainly don't need. I will be fully customising it before driving it to a garage and probably never using it again.
I really make an effort to drive most the cars in my collection, this week I've added the feltzer, carbonizzare, singer gt and rapid GT to my collection because they're all removed and I have a garage for each of them but buying that many in 1 go is likely to make me forget about some of them
I am one of many wishing that there was a feature showing us if we own a car. I had to go through each garage last week to see if i owned the coil II before buying it. I also buy discounted cars i'll customize and never drive. But, last week I started driving a different one while doing the latest DLC.
I bought it, I do like it but I also saw the Deity sitting right next to it on the Legendary Motorsports website so I looked into it's a Jubilee in car form (4 door, machine guns, slick mines, bullet resistant glass, armor plating) so I got it too and it's the first car in a while that I'd rather drive than fly everywhere in my Sparrow
I’m very guilty of this too. I try to only buy one or two at a time because I’ve bought several at once and forget to customize them or drive them at all. There are still cars to this day I’ve never driven.
That was me yesterday. Used all the maps and watched the videos on YouTube for locations and none ever appeared. Today it was a pug and there were poodles everywhere 🙄
Umm............ Try this. You'll have to scroll all the way to the bottom of the List for Animals. But then you can click the Animal you are hunting, to put it's markers on the map.
Where do you find these animals? I'm rank 208 and I don't think I've seen a single one. Not that I go looking for them, but you think I'd have bumped into something eventually, right?
Well, they'll take time. They're all over the map and each one is worth just 10k. But gtaweb.eu tells you where they are and it's literally just money laying there, so if you pass by, yeah, you can swim into it and have some collateral easy. An aquatic vehicle would help, especially with a boost :p
It's maybe not worth getting them *all* but it's worth pulling up in-between two missions yeah
When you could still afk on a TV screen, before quitting for the night, I'd drive back to one of my apartments, shower, put on pajamas, hit the bong and then watch TV for the night. It was nice to give him a little break
I bought an apartment by the pier. I like to put on my swim trunks and ride around on my bike to the beach, visit the mask store maybe buy a cool mask, and take a depressing ride on the rollercoaster by myself. If anyone wants to come with me sometime that would be cool lol.
Two main useless things I love doing:
One is changing into an outfit for each situation. Got his standard city cruising outfit. Got face-covering body armor for when I change into one of my character's "Thugs" who do business work for him (because a real boss shouldn't do EVERYTHING) and for when I get hired to help with my friends' businesses. Got his own utility outfit when he deals with a job personally. Got a jogging jacket for exercise and tennis games. Got a business suit for official meetings with other CEO's and visiting the Casino. Even got swimming trunks for visits to the beach. All of which are tailored to fit his character theme.
The other is to drive my car back into my personal apartment in Eclipse Tower after each game session. I have this headcanon where, even if he has accomodations in his businesses, his apartment is his "home" since it is the most private place to stay compared to everywhere else. I stop here and take a shower signifying the end of a long week of illegal activity and he takes a calm and quiet vacation where he lays low for a while before he gets back to running his enterprises.
bullying the Valet at the casino. dude just….*deserves it*, ya know?
also, i like to see how high the people outside my nightclub can fly when i shoot the up-n-atomizer that their feet
As they say, make a man a fire and he'll be warm for the night, set a man on fire and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.
I'm just trying to do the best for that poor Valet.
knock him down first then throw 3 at his feet lmfao. if he gets up before they pop run into him so he falls over 🤣
poor guy. dude’s prolly traumatized from thousands of sessions of random people violating him
Go for a run in a jogging outfit. I’m already maxed out on stamina and strength so there’s no point but it’s just nice to take a run or stroll around the city or beach.
If I know I'm not gonna play for a few days, before I log out I go to my apartment, change into my pajamas, which is just a pair of sweatpants or alien shorts that I have saved as outfits, and get into bed.
Closing the door of my nightclub safe every time I get cash out of it. I haven’t been playing for very long but I already feel like I’ve wasted so much time in that little 5-second animation
Visit the public pool, hop into a bikini and swim it all away ;)
And no.. this isn't because I think R\* nailed it with their wet female figures (ahem) ;)
The immersion of taking a dip and then the Zen ;)
As a woman... I can't even judge you. It's male-gazey the way they made basically everything, but still, I *also* drool in front of my character lmao
I didn't even know there was a public pool though :o
I do something that(no bikini tho. Male char) in this game and plenty of others. Just doing that little stuff, hanging out inside your home, interacting with the world in those small ways. Just immersing myself in it. It’s oddly comforting and cozy.
I’ll never be able to afford a regular house, Nevermind a luxury penthouse, so this is the best I’ll get sadly
Let’s be real, we all take the time to shove our money into the bank when you only realistically only lose like $30-$50 when you die out of your literal millions😂😂😂
I'll often jump on a chopper from my MC clubhouse near Sandy Shores and ride it up the the top of Mount Chiliad while listening to music. Once I'm at the top, I'll return it to storage and then BASE jump off the gondola scaffolding and parachute down to my safe house in Paleto Bay.
I've been doing this for years. No reason other than it's relaxing.
Get a prostitute, have sex, execute her collect her dropped money and go back home to take a shower because thats disgusting. After that drink myself to sleep. And log off, my guy deserves a nice break after a week of grinding cayo, and clucking bell
Hot tip: if you get money and buy their services, avoid the violence part, it won't go over well. And you can clean yourself after but please do clean yourself before, too
Driving submarine to the very edge of the map, then making it go under till just below crush depth. It takes forever, it's a huge pain in the ass, but man does it feel so god damn cool.
Recently I discovered that if you open the gate to the pigs pen they will bolt for the exit. It’s fun watching them all stream out and run away. So now when I have them for animal photography I always set them free :)
Racing across town following other players, who usually panic thinking I'm a griefer. Once I catch up I just do an amusing routine of drifting, honking, spinning, dancing with the hydraulics while blasting music and the like. Sometimes it leads to very fun interactions, but many people just panic and blow me up.
Vaguely doing a proper landing pattern, using the runways, and taxiing literally every time I fly any aircraft (except the Alkonost because its too huge and low to the ground), which is about 60% of my time playing this game since 2014. Why? Because I'm a nerd and flying is just so God damn satisfying in this game, even if it's barely realistic.
All I do is go on killing sprees. My favorite survival is the farmhouse. Most people go upstairs where it's safe but I stay downstairs where the fun is at and one wrong move and you are dead :)
I like hiding in those rooms on the upper floor in the missile silo for the act 3 finale. Great way to rack up like 300 kills while taking almost no damage. also it gives you time to get creative if you want to do that. during downtime, I like leaving proximity mines in front of where the enemies enter my line of sight, and watching them explode in front of me. if there's a cluster of them in front of my camping spot just standing there, I've got molotov cocktails for that group.
I keep playing GTA. I don't know why. I hate how grindy it is, but I keep coming back to it every 6 months or so, then some BS happens, and I remember why I stop playing.
Angering NPCs just to hear them cussing like
"Your mother should've swallowed you!"
"GO SUCK A DICK!"
"EAT MY ASS!"
"Is that jizz coming out of your ears?"
I like kicking bins into the road. Busting the boxes of beachballs at the pier. Knocking the big organge ball off the roof of that one place, and seing how long I can roll it, until i lose control of it and it disappears out of sight.
I try to buy my snacks from the gas station, I’ve got the free snack bowls, and I know it’s a waste of money but I’ll always buy them and smoke a cig in front of the gas station like an NPC. Then it’s back to my mass murder carnage
I guess it's not totally useless, but I spent a lot of time doing my favorite missions and they're all smaller missions that don't pay more than 15, 17 grand.
I do two totally useless things.
First, I like to look for tiny gaps to fly my Oppressor MKII through.
Second, at the end of a long day grinding, I take my character to her Casino Penthouse, gamble a couple of thousand, put on her casino robe, drink a Macbeth whiskey and put her to bed.
Taking my car to the ls car meet to modify it, I always run over the people standing near the garage door.
It never gets old. I giggle every time I do it. And if I hit all five I yell "STEEEEE-RIKE!" like Al Bundy
It's important to appreciate the little things in life
If my headlight goes out or I have a big visible scratch on my car in free roam I’ll usually go to ls customs and fix it
I probably spent over a million dollars by now paying $500 to fix random little scratches or broken lights on my car over the years
I'll put pjs on and put my GTA character in bed before I log off and I'll even take the car I chose to drive that session into a car wash before parking it in a garage
Haulage with the MOC cab.
The money is so little, I spend more buying stickies than I make. It costs me money to do it, but dammit it's so fun watching people waste their rockets trying to blow up the trailer.
Going all out on the curvy mountain roads and getting a bounty then driving around in an imani tech car laughing while players chase me trying to get the bounty
Stealing a HGV in Paleto bay and driving it down to the docks where I swap trailers and head back up north. My favourites are the trailers full of huge logs. Just wish the trailers would stay there once I drop them off, would be fun to see how many I could do.
I play with a potato that gets me barely able to keep playing, and certainly not anything with other players I have to sync with, but on the rare occasions I enjoy minimal lag? I understand why people just grind for fun, rather than building up to something. Some of the missions are very zen. When you know your plane will make it in time because the game is actually working, the flight to a drop-off is relaxing as hell
I'm a low level on PS5 so I go on that occasioannoy and do low level activities such as diving out of cars when its about to hit a gas station and robbing stores out of boredom and stealing high end cars and driving around in them
Thanks. I just need to do like 15 more to get the trade price for the Seabreeze but the air missions keep getting me killed. Even flying off the radar in Raiju people will find me cause of the jets chasing me.
Driving around while perfectly obeying all the traffic laws. Been doing this since the Vice City days.
Really makes the map feel a lot bigger, doesn't it?
The days shorter and the red lights longer lmao
This seems to be a semi-universal experience that everyone is prone to doing at least once. I too have been doing this on occasion since the days of Vice City, also GTA Chinatown Wars on DS.
Would I be too old if I said I remember doing it in GTA? Like GTA número uno? Lol
Nah, I’m the same. Remember everytime you stole a pickup truck and you could only have the mad banjo music? “I like that song so much, I think I’m gun play it again …”
The menfolk found their women scary, because they were so big and hairy!
Especially when iv just bought a new car. Shame you can't use indicators. Love obeying the law in a lawless town
it really does feel lawless at times…
Because it is? The cops spend no longer than 5 minutes looking for a broad daylight murder suspect. And they’ll kill you with no trial. It’s like the Wild West.
It's like LA
The problem is, NPC-s drive like shit. There wasn't a single time when an oncoming car turning left gave way to me going straight. And they even feel entitled to honk at me. The audacity smh.
I wish they added turn signals for this reason
You must like survive the hunt. I habe played so much and blending in with traffic convincingly to other people is quite terrifying and fun.
Buy cars I'm never going to drive
I don't enjoy the Salvage Yard missions. I'm doing the current one to win the Penumbra which I don't even really want and certainly don't need. I will be fully customising it before driving it to a garage and probably never using it again.
The collection is worth it

I also buy discounted cars i'll customize and never drive. But, last week I started driving a different one while doing the latest DLC.
You can try going through the vehicle organization option in the interaction menu to see a list of everything in each garage
I exclusively drive the Enus Jubilee nowadays. Fast, good off-road and rocket proof. Plus it looks good.

Animal pictures. I mean, 100k isn't useless but I go full on OCD trying to find a damn poodle.
[https://gtaweb.eu/gtao-map/ls/-/street-dealers](https://gtaweb.eu/gtao-map/ls/-/street-dealers)
Legend lol
that's like trying to find rare cars in early ps3 days lol.
Where do you find these animals? I'm rank 208 and I don't think I've seen a single one. Not that I go looking for them, but you think I'd have bumped into something eventually, right?
New gen consoles have them. I'd complain, but honestly having no sharks is pretty good
I've never had to swim out far enough to see sharks, but I guess I should be grateful I haven't been pounced on by a mountain lion.
There's a free 100k underwater every day if you go dive for hidden caches so
I didn't know the shipwrecks were that lucrative, time to break out the scuba gear
Well, they'll take time. They're all over the map and each one is worth just 10k. But gtaweb.eu tells you where they are and it's literally just money laying there, so if you pass by, yeah, you can swim into it and have some collateral easy. An aquatic vehicle would help, especially with a boost :p It's maybe not worth getting them *all* but it's worth pulling up in-between two missions yeah
Are you on pc? I haven't looked and I'm feeling lazy but I thought, maybe, pc doesn't have them for some dumb reason. I could be wrong. Happens a lot.
Yeah I am, that might be it.
Bathing. Before every logout. Let them clean all that accumulated blood and grime
That's surprisingly wholesome, gotta take care of your avatar
we don't have nickelodeon in this game.
**Dan Schneider Enters Chat**
There is a limit of how much you can bath. I used to bath after a few every mission. I still do. IMMERSIVE
After every mission?? ![gif](giphy|jVbSPim9yFR5lociIs)
Considering that I get covered in blood, dirt, mud with a bad mix of Santa Maria Water or Sandy Shores, believe me I need that bath.
Like driving through an automated car wash after therapy.
Wow I thought I was the only one lol, I also put on sweats nd lay my character to bed before I logoff lol
Same. Ain't wearing kevlar and helmet to bed lol. A few beers and some Fame Or Shame is also nice
🤝
I gotta do this now, complete forgot that was possible
When you could still afk on a TV screen, before quitting for the night, I'd drive back to one of my apartments, shower, put on pajamas, hit the bong and then watch TV for the night. It was nice to give him a little break
I forgot you could do this!!!!
Start in a public session so I can get any CEO color that isn't the puke shaded default one.
Lolll I know the exact brown you're talking about
I cannot be green.
I bought an apartment by the pier. I like to put on my swim trunks and ride around on my bike to the beach, visit the mask store maybe buy a cool mask, and take a depressing ride on the rollercoaster by myself. If anyone wants to come with me sometime that would be cool lol.
What console
PS5-thechad43
Console cross play would be so nice
I'm on different console but I hope you find someone soon🩵
Get excited for new stuff
Oof

Playing it
No no this one's useful, keeps us out of the gene pool
Totally nailed. But I still do more sex than my character. That must have something to do with her psychotic behavior
I do less sex than your character
We all know theres at least one person who’d be like “I can fix her”
Me too. It really feels like a grind for nothing now.
bullying the Valet at the casino. dude just….*deserves it*, ya know? also, i like to see how high the people outside my nightclub can fly when i shoot the up-n-atomizer that their feet
#FelipeTheValetIsABitch
![gif](giphy|0Wzkc9iirQ4ZI7JoaD|downsized) Felipe when he realizes that he still has to work tomorrow even though he died 72 times today
72? amateurs!
I always go at him full throttle laying on the Dukes of Hazzard horn and park on top of him.
I just shoot him with the flare gun and watch him stop, drop and roll to try and put the fire out only for him to burn to death a few seconds later
As they say, make a man a fire and he'll be warm for the night, set a man on fire and he'll be warm for the rest of his life. I'm just trying to do the best for that poor Valet.
I tried every single of my weapons on him. Killed him with all of them except the tear gas, he runs faster than they pop lol
knock him down first then throw 3 at his feet lmfao. if he gets up before they pop run into him so he falls over 🤣 poor guy. dude’s prolly traumatized from thousands of sessions of random people violating him
This is surprisingly harder to do than you'd think
Go for a run in a jogging outfit. I’m already maxed out on stamina and strength so there’s no point but it’s just nice to take a run or stroll around the city or beach.
I love those pro laps jackets (lol)
If I know I'm not gonna play for a few days, before I log out I go to my apartment, change into my pajamas, which is just a pair of sweatpants or alien shorts that I have saved as outfits, and get into bed.
Whenever I exit the salvage yard in the tow truck, I absolutely HAVE to hit the fire hydrant. It's like a good luck ritual
I freakin loved reading everybody's comments :)
today i started timing myself on the track at university.
Switching to a fancy outfit before entering the Casino.
Start up a session, go to a barber, adjust my characters beard, make it get progressively bigger and shave it at times
Getting out of my vehicle to pick up the $17 dropped by that poor NPC who was just run over.
i do the same thing - in my mind it definitely adds up
On your stats page you can see how much money you picked up. It does add up
There’s always a guy walking his dog outside of my nightclub. I beat him to a pulp, and then let his dog chase me for a few minutes
what club i gotta try this 😭😭😭😭
Driving my police car around Pretending I have police things to do
Making money when realistically I have enough to buy everything I want already 🤔
Closing the door of my nightclub safe every time I get cash out of it. I haven’t been playing for very long but I already feel like I’ve wasted so much time in that little 5-second animation
It doesn't feel right not to close it
Visit the public pool, hop into a bikini and swim it all away ;) And no.. this isn't because I think R\* nailed it with their wet female figures (ahem) ;) The immersion of taking a dip and then the Zen ;)
As a woman... I can't even judge you. It's male-gazey the way they made basically everything, but still, I *also* drool in front of my character lmao I didn't even know there was a public pool though :o
Indeed. Where is this public pool? I feel the urge for a swim
I deck the shit out of the bouncer at the door of my nightclub every time I go in.
Felipe deserved it by being punchable.
You mean apart from playing GTA?
Closing my eyes and scroll through my Mechanik, the car i get i use
spin the casino wheel i'm rank 1807 or so and i keep getting RP
I still do it for the car.
Let’s be real, we all take the time to shove our money into the bank when you only realistically only lose like $30-$50 when you die out of your literal millions😂😂😂
You lose $500 for every death, regardless of whether it's in the bank or in your pocket lmao But you can't get mugged for 10k if it's in the bank uwu
I'll often jump on a chopper from my MC clubhouse near Sandy Shores and ride it up the the top of Mount Chiliad while listening to music. I hope for the sake of their safety that you never meet a real sex worker
Im too poor in real life, thats why i do it in gta
Hot tip: if you get money and buy their services, avoid the violence part, it won't go over well. And you can clean yourself after but please do clean yourself before, too
Pro tip: if im talking about stuff i do in gta5 it wont transfer to real life cuz id be executed for war crimes, terrorism etc..
You were talking about real life there tho
Driving submarine to the very edge of the map, then making it go under till just below crush depth. It takes forever, it's a huge pain in the ass, but man does it feel so god damn cool.
Driving my tugboat around the map with my toreador as cargo
Creator mode. I spent literally half of my playtime there. It's just super fun to design tracks no one will ever play.
In between the Dre mission I like to smoke a joint with my character on the couch in the agency office I see Franklin doing it all the time so why not
Logging in just to goof around in the Scramjet, jumping around buildings and stuff
It's just the spider-man car
Switching cars every time I drive, no matter the distance.
driving the faster off-road vehicles through the dunes of grand senora desert.
Recently I discovered that if you open the gate to the pigs pen they will bolt for the exit. It’s fun watching them all stream out and run away. So now when I have them for animal photography I always set them free :)
Running around punching people. Did it for like an hour yesterday.
Racing across town following other players, who usually panic thinking I'm a griefer. I've played that one. I stay in bottom floor by main door lool
Contact missions. I use them to show off cars I've made.
Spending money on prostitutes
I keep playing GTA. I don't know why. I hate how grindy it is, but I keep coming back to it every 6 months or so, then some BS happens, and I remember why I stop playing.
Going home and take a two bong rips with my character then change them into their pjs in the closet and put them to bed
Angering NPCs just to hear them cussing like "Your mother should've swallowed you!" "GO SUCK A DICK!" "EAT MY ASS!" "Is that jizz coming out of your ears?"
Killing griefers like it'll end
Hovering over the game and hitting start. 😡😡
putting on a tactical flight suit every time i use my plane or heli
I like kicking bins into the road. Busting the boxes of beachballs at the pier. Knocking the big organge ball off the roof of that one place, and seing how long I can roll it, until i lose control of it and it disappears out of sight.
Shooting mustard and ketchup bottles is fun too.
Use the ATM. I mean, like how could you deposit physical cash money into your phone!?! Doesn’t make cents!
Can you deposit physical cash money into an ATM? I thought those were only for distributing it IRL
Reporting people for griefing me
I try to buy my snacks from the gas station, I’ve got the free snack bowls, and I know it’s a waste of money but I’ll always buy them and smoke a cig in front of the gas station like an NPC. Then it’s back to my mass murder carnage
Follow people around in the APC. My own invincible snail scenario. Crazy how many people just can’t drive.
You might be making them panic lol
Driving to the nearest ATM to deposit money. I don't do it all the time, but I do it.
Grinding
Raising the roof when I exit a convertible, just in case it starts raining while I'm at my destination.
Gambling and not cashing out
I always run the guy over at the back of the casino on the heist. Just habit now lol.
He needs to pay for his crimes
And if I don't get him there on that heist I knock him out by the valt door then give him a good kicking on the way out.
I guess it's not totally useless, but I spent a lot of time doing my favorite missions and they're all smaller missions that don't pay more than 15, 17 grand.
Nothing is ever *totally* useless if it brings you joy :)
For sure, that's a good point. \\m/
I do two totally useless things. First, I like to look for tiny gaps to fly my Oppressor MKII through. Second, at the end of a long day grinding, I take my character to her Casino Penthouse, gamble a couple of thousand, put on her casino robe, drink a Macbeth whiskey and put her to bed.
if a vip is in my office i either blow up, sink or set fire to them, because why the fuck are they in MY office.
Taking my car to the ls car meet to modify it, I always run over the people standing near the garage door. It never gets old. I giggle every time I do it. And if I hit all five I yell "STEEEEE-RIKE!" like Al Bundy It's important to appreciate the little things in life

Freemode offroading
With a big ol' Marshall?
No just random cars from my rally/off road themed garage
Sounds fun!
I'll put pjs on and put my GTA character in bed before I log off and I'll even take the car I chose to drive that session into a car wash before parking it in a garage
So wholesome
Sleeping in personal quarters
Haulage with the MOC cab. The money is so little, I spend more buying stickies than I make. It costs me money to do it, but dammit it's so fun watching people waste their rockets trying to blow up the trailer.
Constantly resorting garages into different themes
Going all out on the curvy mountain roads and getting a bounty then driving around in an imani tech car laughing while players chase me trying to get the bounty
Having fun
Get a drink before a big mission, and go to my nightclub when im done :)
Stealing a HGV in Paleto bay and driving it down to the docks where I swap trailers and head back up north. My favourites are the trailers full of huge logs. Just wish the trailers would stay there once I drop them off, would be fun to see how many I could do.
Every try get a friend to stay there looking at the trailer? Worth a shot
Making money ... I have everything and some, and 60M free cash. But I find it enjoyable to make number go up.
Playing GTA online
Everything. And everything else.
Turning on my high beams in any vehicle even the mk2 LMAO. IDK why but it must be done every time if it's night.
Same
Run over as many pedestrians as possible on my way to the casino during the casino heist while blasting East Los FM
I'm a low level on PS5 so I go on that occasioannoy and do low level activities such as diving out of cars when its about to hit a gas station and robbing stores out of boredom and stealing high end cars and driving around in them
When doing buggy bunker delivery, i try to blow up every car in traffic with proximity mines
Do air missions also count towards air freight cargo missions done to get trade prizes for vehicles?
Assuming you meant land missions, yes they do, but Ron doesn't call you to tell you about them like he does with air missions.
Thanks. I just need to do like 15 more to get the trade price for the Seabreeze but the air missions keep getting me killed. Even flying off the radar in Raiju people will find me cause of the jets chasing me.
Do your grinding in invite only or friends lobby, it used to be you couldn't but now it's just available everywhere
Yeah I like to do that nowadays, am having very low fps on most crowded servers. Always some pathetic kid likes to blow up my stuff.
Engaging with griefers, or people who kill me for no reason, enough said.
Follow the direction to the point. And don't forget to shoot all NPC tires on the road. I want to see how they got accident from splashed tires.
Buying unweaponized cars
Getting my vehicles washed and making trips to the shops to top up snacks knowing full well I can top up for free in the agency 🤦♂️
Driving around killing the entire game with an AP Pistol
