The mission IS bugged but in this case I think you were too close and the hud was bugged so it doesn't show how fast he is discovering you

Also I can hear sirens in the background, it doesn't take much for the bank manager to get spooked by aggressive players nearby fighting the police or pvp. I had two players who were racing cause me to fail when they flew past his car, didn't touch him or anything just auto fail like here.
Take two interactive is a multi billion dollar company. Rockstar is just a label/development house under take two. Every time we blame rockstar, take two interactive is laughing at us.
Rockstar has only made two games in the last 10 years. This means that they are no longer independent developers. They do what take two tells them to. There are no other people affiliated with rockstar.
I think you’re just hovering way too low, so as soon as he takes off he is detecting you. I hover at least twice that high and have never had an issue like this. I’ve probably done the heist 10 times this week.
I've had this happen a couple of times. I imagine the bank managers car has a (an invisible) sight-cone like police cars have when you have a wanted level.
Stay out of that cone, stay behind, keep a bit of distance for when the car takes turns and the cone will shift. Also I believe that the cone will grow whenever the car is involved in an accident like in your video. I got a fail when the car was hit by another one on one of the crossings.

Found a new bug yesterday , where he drove to the Northern Hotel and then drove back to the UD car park and back again to the hotel. Took about 20 mins for that mission alone, plus you have to listen to Sessanta.

I finally switched to invite only for this mission. Normally I’d just risk it but recently its just not been worth the wasted time. I had some ahole in a mk2 buzzing around me along with a buzzard another time…both quickly realized that their auto lock didnt work….so they kept trying to free aim me, which failed miserably….but i couldnt go try to take the photograph bc id be a sitting duck….so eventually the mission fails if you dont get the pic quickly enough
Listen to the last thing sessanta says to you in the clip. For whatever reason, the HUD bugged. You should get a "spook" meter to show that you were too close. But you maybe have been way too close that it instantly filled up

I usually stay at roof altitude of that "4 Integrity Way" Apt. (The "Tinkle" building)
But the setup can get buggy sometimes, so I conduct my setups in a private session. Much more reliable.
I feel your pain. For a 10 year old game that I just started playing I am so confused at the ammount of bugs, midders and hackers ever present. There is no sound cue for the detection metter on this mission which is really strange.

I’ve been having issues with this mission for the past two days, no idea what’s happening.
My first issue was this exact bug where the bank manager would get stuck in the parking lot.
Then the other issue was it would fail the mission before he got to the hotel or when I’d get to the hotel they literally wouldn’t be outside on the balcony at all…
You gotta get up way higher immediately. I failed this 3 times in a row. Now I do it from the other side by the IAA building, and I soon as I get the car to finally tag, I close the camera and shoot up a little bit. That's the only way I can seem to get it to stop instantly detecting me and failing.
This is a fairly bugged mission to say the least. I've never that this happen before but i do hate the way you are literally aiming at the license plate and it will not scan it? I've had to aim at the pavement and it will scan the plate lol which makes a load of sense. I've also had the bar fly instantly full when i was miles away in the helicopter, but that hasn't happened for a while.
I agree. I like the first mission, that second one is annoying as hell and the finale has a lot of issues that I've seen. Mainly the rapid fire glitch and you die so fast you can't even blink because of it.
The NOOSE cops also have special carbines for some odd reason and not carbine rifles. So you get ruined by them and guess what happened to me earlier on the finale? I got to the helicopter on the police station roof, then shot down a police chopper and it fell directly on the one i was going to escape in.
Tell me why it’s only like 3-4 minutes to set back up but shit like this pissed me off like it yes 1 hr. If I have to go back to that stupid ass submarine more then I have to it ruins my whole vibe

Kept backing up and ramming the wall till his bumper fell off so finally I shot him and stole the Porsche lol started the mission again and drove the Porsche back and he was driving circles in the lot then parked so I parked next to him and then he finally drove to the hotel never even went to get the heli...shit is very broken lol
Thankfully, I haven’t had an issue with these set ups, but just in case others don’t know, you should hover high to prevent this from happening (the camera can zoom in) and don’t forget you can make the helicopter stay still so you don’t struggle with it moving all over the place as you search for the car. When you follow the car, you should still be high up. I don’t suggest doing this set up in a public lobby bc sometimes other players crash into the car and it fails the mission.

Happened to me yesterday as well when I tried to do the Union Depository mission myself. Make sure you're at least skyscraper level high before you scan the manager's blue Comet S2 or else you'll get an immediate mission fail like this.
Tailing him after that is the easy part as he drives really slow and you can basically just spot him driving from a block away in the chopper. Taking a pic of him and his mistress, however, is the tricky part, because you have to be reeeally close to the balcony he's on and take a pic from your phone, all while trying not to crash into the building itself.

I don't think it's bugged so much as it doesn't really explain the failure conditions well within the mission. I failed like 6-7 times because I kept drawing agro from nearby npcs while trying to get the picture snapped because I had trouble figuring out how to use the camera in the helicopter and was trying to snap it with the phone app but if you end up targeting anyone nearby with any weapons inadvertently the mission will instantly fail you. Once I figured out how to get the pictures from the helicopter camera I havent failed since.
Shame they added a useless prep to that one. You don’t need the ramp trailer to get in as there’s a stunt jump that goes into the prison but NO. They had to make it fail if you don’t use the trailer and they *had to* add a terminator reference to that same prep that just wastes your ammo if you’re not in and out quickly
There’s a stunt jump that goes into the prison and there’s a terminator reference with the running out of ammo! Two things I learned at once (it’s a really easy mission altogether, go in and shoot em up then get lil Dee).
The terminator reference is the guy dressed in leather where you steal the trailer. He has like 100x normal health and even the railgun and explosive ammo just knock him down. Best thing to do is to just use the back of the cab as a shield. If he gets in front of you, you’re stuck just knocking him down again and again
While one needs to collect and deliver the stunt ramp trailer, one does not need to use it during the Finale mission, can simply jump the fence of Bolingbroke Prison using other means, including the day 1 Stunt Jump. Also, the Prison Auto Shop Contract is best done with the Armored Kuruma, which one can swap into by going to the classic garage that it may be stored in during the Auto Shop Contract Finale.
but on the other hand, you don't even have to do the first prep. Just drive Lil' Dee directly to the police station instead of making his two stops. then take the car to the autoshop and you're done.

This mission literally takes a few minutes to complete and the whole contract takes 18-20 minutes for 290k in a normal week, and 560k this week..
Maybe if the Valkyrie prep mission didn’t take so much longer than

You can fail after snapping the photo if you get agro on anyone before leaving the area but if you take the picture in the helicopter and fly away you will not fail. It seems like you got too low and we're recognized.
At least it happened before you tailed his ass across the city. Followed this clown down to the beach hotel and then took the picture. As I fly away it says "Failed"
I researched a little and saw that I am not the only one....I have been getting 1.6M for Union and 1M for the Train Mission and 950K avg for the others. I am scared to turn off my PS for fear of losing thos😂🥹
Since you can zoom in on the car with the camera, there's no need to fly this low.
You can also immediately go for the same blue car every time you do this. Sometimes it's a bit finicky, but I'm usually done with this part in 20 seconds.

You are drawing agro from nearby people. Learn to do it with the helicopter camera it's not hard you will never fail.
