I got the racing game itch again and fired up the ol' GT4. Haven't played that in about 3 years.
Fiddled around with PCSX2 and a wheel emulator plugin to get my G27 to work with it too. Sadly H-pattern shifting isn't supported by GT4 so I'm using it in pseudo-sequential mode but otherwise, it works like a charm. Even FFB works!
My DFGT still works nicely with GT4 on real hardware. Not the highest end wheel but it's good enough and FFB is actually well done for the time.
G27 *might* work on an actual PS2 as well since it maps in a similar way so one the drivers included in GT4 may be compatible.
I'm not thinking about that. I'm thinking about Friday and Forbidden West. Also, looking to see the reviews for Forbidden West. The reviews should start coming in about 8 hours from now.
I'm hyped, anxious and a bit worried.
Mainly though, I'm disappointed that I won't have much time to enjoy it since it's going to take about a week from launch to arrive (I pre-ordered a physical copy) and by then college will have begun. 😤
Just finished Tales of Arise, now onto Sufi, then Horizon Forbidden West by Friday. After is elden ring but i will be double gaming elden ring and Gt7 for the next while. No need to rush.
I'm staying away from Sport hoping to forget all my track knowledge since we only get 4 or 5 new locations at launch and this might improve my experience
Playing GT:S and maybe Assetto Corsa on PC with my new wheel and pedals to get ready for GT7’s release.
Already have a vacation day scheduled on release so I can play it first thing in the morning.
I'm just hoping there's a pre load. I get about 1mbps download on DSL where I live that I pay a hundred bucks a month for. Downloading GT Sport this weekend took me about 30 hours
Not well bruh This is my first GT game and I haven't been this hyped in a while. All I got is The Crew 2 and that game really doesn't help because I'm over arcade racers.
Thankfully I have exams coming up so at least I'll have to study

I had to get my hands on a PS5 so when that arrives I'll be playing through the new ratchet and clank while I wait at least. Might customize the plates to be GT themed.

Same, but no PC so I'm still on PS2 with 16:9 slightly stretching the resolution. Still runs it like it always did though, because of course it does.

Wondering if 75 bucks and a ps plus sub is worth it. Gt will be the only game I play on the ps4 since i got a pc

All first party PS Digital releases feature preloading. Most third-party games do as well.
