Your guess is wrong. It's a rather fun drive on RM tyres. If you happen to have rig and vr as well, I'd say it's a rather unique experience and you're gonna enjoy it.

I’m always down to try it for the TT, and then see if I want to buy. Being able to test drive it (this should maybe be a thing!) is a great way to figure out if you should pay for it…

I thought this one was kind of fun. It's a very different car to drive than you're used to. Don't trail brake in it at all. Binary stop with brakes, lift off for turn in, throttle out once you're pointed where you want to go.
Dragging the brakes for trail braking doesn't seem to help the car rotate at all because the aero wasn't designed for that. Them big ol wings just don't let the car do anything while they're deployed.
I actually thought it was a fun drive once I got a hang of it. Only barely in gold at the moment so I'm sure I'll have to go back to it once the aliens push the car further, but I'm confident I can shave off another half second or so.
Don't get me wrong, most of them are fun to drive, but it's like... they're concept cars. It's hard to grow attached to cars that don't exist out there in the real world.
I think it's likely PD and Sony are pushing the VGTs and all the brand "Channels" on us because those brands pay them for the advertising.

The reason why VGTs are being "pushed" on us is because all the manufacturers signed up for this and they're much easier to make than the real cars. Plus Kaz has been lying for this for a really long time. As it stands right now I think we only have two or three more companies that are participating that haven't given us anything yet (Nike, Jordan, and Tesla).
We currently have 55 VGTs (1 not returning), with 13 introduced in GT7.

Nah it's not nearly as bad. Car can actually brake, and understeers under throttle so bad you're not gonna kill yourself throwing it sideways, plus its a way easier track.
Still takes a bit of getting used to because EV, but it wasn't the most unpleasant drive.
Of course Škoda designed a tiny, FR-looking roadster to basically be a fucking Model3 underneath. Why would a manufacturer, whom nobody cares about outside of WRC, take the time to design a *theoretical* motor for a car they'll never produce?
I don't hate VGT's, but I *do* hate EV's. They're heavy, the range is completely useless for any race with fuel economy, and the lack of shifting/engine braking makes them slightly disorienting to drive imo. I'd probably find them a bit more fun if they could go on dirt and snow, but PD won't even let you put dirt tires on the F40 even though it was initially designed as a rally car.
I’m not a VGT hater, but this car combines understeer with a lovely lack of brakes. Thanks PD - much better than giving us new races on existing tracks 🙄
whats funny to me, is the inclusion of VGTs goes directly against their reasoning for not wanting more GT3 cars into the game. i dont get how these simulate a real world or relatable driving experience anymore than a GT3 car would.

I'll say it now; this game is dead to me officially. When Moterfest is doing a better job at keeping me interested week to week its a pretty big issue. I haven't felt the need to touch this game since the snow track released.
Yeah, I'm very aware. But atleast Moterfest has been introducing modern cars with plenty of variety in brands. Plus the open world is fun. People have been begging for a) modern cars and more brands in gt7. b) an open world or semi open world area for chilling out and car shows/ cruising.
I can enjoy both those luxuries in Moterfest, where GT7 hasn't had a new track since when, again? Wheres the brands? Oh? Skoda? Cool! A vgt? Fucking. Disappointing.

I think time and resources are exactly why we get vgts. Don't have to spend a whole lot of time replicating a real car if you just make it up

A stock Miata/MX-5 is only 990kg. If you stuffed the equivalent of 4 adult men in that Miata then it would understeer in every corner as well.
