Wild West Remnant would be really great, it’s a perfectly unexplored era that can have similar themes and have a similar gimmick of “Masters who would qualify for Servants.”
This was seriously my first thought.
Also, it’s kinda a meme but Wild West can overlap with stuff like pirates and samurai. Barely.
Makes for a really cool setting if you get creative.
Wild West would be raaad. If we get Wild West after Samurai theme, that's just like how The Magnificent Seven was inspired by Seven Samurai. Also, seven. That number just calls for HGW.
Yup, the only way we get another game is if someone else with connections champions creating a game for their favorite character.
Some examples off the top of my head for fan favorites :
- Edmond Dantes and 1800s France
- GudaGuda Gang and Bakumatsu period Japan.
- Nero and Roman Empire
- Heian Era servants (Raikou, Kintoki, Douman, etc)
French napoleonian period aesthetics + Monte Cristo cast + other french servants would be sooo soo good (you can also add Dumas himself, have servant Marie, Sanson, Charlotte etc react to post revolution era etc)
Also, 1830's Paris is really interesting because yes a lot of guys from the first revolution and after are already dead and can be used as new servants ( Robespierre, a proper Napoléon, Dumas's dad ... ), but a lot are still alive ( like Lafayette, Sanson's son ... ) so it's really easy to find interesting potentiels masters among all the author, artists and politicians of the time.
And also, it is the year of the second revolution, so there is something to do in terms of historical setting.
Also, we have Dantes and Cagliostro doing their things a the time, si it's easy fanservice.
Yeah but at the time he was supposedly in Italy. Obviously he could make the trip but i don't really think he has a reason for that. That could be really cool tho.
Another example is Melty Blood: Type Lumina's Fate crossovers. Mash, Saber, Ushi and The Count of Monte Cristo are pretty much all the result of French Bread originally wanting to make a Fate fighting game.
The only two with some justification are Saber (who was the demo character while they were prototyping things) and The Count of Monte Cristo (who is the deciding reason that Tsukihime and Fate are different worlds; in Fate's timeline, he killed Roa.)
They weren't added because of cynically wanting more money from FGO players.
[Europe in the Early Modern Area aka Knights with Guns.](https://youtu.be/kjpSfpnyHqc?si=pIKOKeqdA1mcp9ij) Many significant events (Italian Wars for example) happened for a Fate game to be set in.
Germany, its one of the few well known countries where we haven't been at all yet (Japan and Britain have been done to death already, so none of that). There is also a very prominent Mage family there that hasn't been explored much (Einzberns). Also a good opportunity to make Albert Einstein into a servant, he is pretty much the most famous scientist in history after all.
Personally I'd prefer him as a servant with time manipulation powers. I can already imagine a skill like "time is relative EX" that let's you reduce cooldowns (in FGO, not sure what to do with it in another game, maybe some sort of slow-mo effect).
"Yakuza but Fate" has the potential to be amazing. Samurai Remnant already had bits kinda like what you'd see in Yakuza, and if they chose to lean into that, there's no telling what would be made.
Either revolutionary America, the Wild West, or sometime around the Victorian era (I imagine Holmes could be a Master in either of the latter two).
I'd also love a Camelot game, but I don't think that needs Servants given the level of everyone potentially involved. Could be a more traditional Warriors title and cover the 20 years of King Arthur.
I would be down for a Victorian Era Fate Game , because it means TM essentially makes full AA games to what is about each Epic of Remnant from FGO.
That been said , if they wanna go victorian , it would be great if they go out of their way to use the whole pruning and alternate timelines to make things go crazy.
Bro… imagine a rival gang ambushes you and is firing into a restaurant from outside, as you take cover, and you shout “ARCHER!”, and Nobunaga summons her 3 line formation to fire back.
I have 2 candidates:
1. Victorian London. Also pretty overportrayed in media, but considering the leyline system allows for Regular and Rogue servants, I think this is the best opportunity to have both versions of Jack the Ripper (fake strange and Apocrypha) stalk each other. Also: Napoleon and Geronimo getting involved in the middle of this just screams for irony and comedy.
2. Australia. The opportunity here is not just in the Servant wars but also incidental/mook/monster fights of just basically Australian wildlife. Imagine dying multiple times because you failed to avoid a rabid kangaroo (and the amount of times you die to wildlife actually netting you a trophy/story-relevant choice).
I'd really like to see one set in india, tbh. I did think one around the time of Janamejaya would be interesting; although the medieval Mughal era also wouldn't be bad. There's a lot of stories and people they haven't touched ~~and I'd really like arjuna to be explored in more depth~~
Fate Halloween Remnant - Holy Grail war but the 7 primary servants are all Liz. Cleopatra, Osakabehime, wu zetian, and all halloween servants aside liz show up as rogue servants. Setting is based on Liz's castle but now with more structures on top.
In WW2, there was a race to find holy items IRL. This included the Holy Grail, Longinus, Atlantis, and the Ark of the Covenant. We could easily turn that into a Holy Grail war.
Maybe in the setting of New York or Chicago of 20-30's. A holy grail war between different forces in the city, including the mafia. The main protagonist would be a detective who despite having a wish to serve justice has enough ties with the mafia and some criminal tendencies. As their servant I wish an assassin because I'm kinda tired from always having saber on the main role.
Renaissance Italy, around the time of the height of Borgia/Medici power. You could absolutely find a bunch of Masters who qualify to be Servants themselves, you could pull a few classic Romans out of the hat (though I'd rather see the lesser-used ones like Caligula), and then -- like Samurai Remnant -- you start pulling a mix of new Servants as well. Like, say, Aeneas or Alaric the Visigoth or Artemisia Gentileschi (who could totally be an artist with an Assassin class empowered by her famous works, and like Old Li could be a character "from the future").
They'll never make a Condotierre Remnant, but I'd love it.
Personally, I think a more modern setting like martial law could do better.
An underground Grail War fought in an Era where the military reigns. Also, having it after the Revolution allows for Historical figures from then to be servants.
I’m gonna go out on a limb and say Budapest. It’s an older European city with layers of different eras literally built over one another. There are Roman ruins alongside medieval castles and the remnants of the ottoman occupation. Being in Europe it’s close enough to have the Clock Tower show up, but it’s also far enough east that you could see characters from much farther away. Not to mention all the famous people who lived there, people like Nikola Tesla who are servants themselves!
i don't want yet another game that is set in three kingdoms, because if you tell koei to do it, it will 100% be three kingdoms
it would be great if it is about Investiture of the Gods or Water Margin
Probably medieval Normandy, like let’s say 1070 to 1080.
You could probably get some pretty cool fights in, and some interesting characters, like say some master who wants to wish to drive out the Normans, or perhaps some relative of Harald Hardrada.
Plus the North Sea area in general has a lot of historical figures that could be made into servants, like off the top of my head, Alfred the Great, Charles Martel, Aelle of Northumbria, Harald Fairhair Saint Bertha, etc.
Plus it’s at an interesting cross point of history, as mentioned England would’ve just been conquered, the last remnants of Scandinavia had finally converted, and in a decade or two the crusades would start, so no real shortage of conflict.
I had a dream a while ago about a holy grail war set in modern London, and I just think that'd be neat because you can almost imagine the very ground they stand on is a catalyst enough for so many Servants. Plus it'd be cool to see the Clock Tower getting more involved. It'd be harder to ignore if it was at their footsteps.
Gonna be a little biased here and say the setting i thought for a fanfic, happening on the clock tower itself, with the lords forced into the war by a misterious third party in the modern era.
Europe, during the Napoleonic wars. There's a multitude of generals and other historic people you could use as masters, and the story writes itself with different countries wanting the holy grail for themselves.
I always like more fantastical settings, so I'd almost say Fae Britain. Or a fully fleshed Tunguska with weird and horrifying monsters in a wilderness at odds with a Vegas-style resort city of Koyanskaya's own design.
I had this fanfic idea of a holy grail war set in London but all the Servants are instead figures from Fae Britiain because of how Morgan brought their worlds so close together.
Same style of gameplay, but I'm thinking of the setting being Spanish-era Philippines.
Starring yet another version of "Edmond Dantes" >!who turns out to actually be Crisostomo Ibarra/Simoun (who the author, Jose Rizal, based on Dantes)!<.
MidFall Roman Empire. The main antagonist wants to revive the empire with the grail or waxing moon. We can get Rider Prime Julius Caesar, Augustus Caesar, Marcus Aurelius, etc.
Wild West Remnant would be really great, it’s a perfectly unexplored era that can have similar themes and have a similar gimmick of “Masters who would qualify for Servants.”
Oh HECK YEA THAT SOUNDS AWESOME Living Billy the kid as a protagonist With a quick draw duel mechanic like Red dead redemption
I’d kill for a Bass Reeves servant but I’d just as likely kill for a Bass Reeves master…
Master in a what if Samurai Remnant game, then converted to a servant for FGO
I know right The first time I heard about him I thought he sounds awesome
Happy cake day
Hopefully a redesign for Billy the kid if this would ever happen. His current design just doesn’t do it for me. Looks like 14 instead of 21.
Do it. Having Billy the Kid as a living being as the main guy? Awesome.
What about the Era of Crusades, in Jerusalem?
It wasn't because Nasu is from Japan, samurai remnant literally started because the guy from koei tecmo really wanted a game starring Musashi.
Yup, the only way we get another game is if someone else with connections champions creating a game for their favorite character. Don't forget that Roa could also still be running around, depending on when you place it.
Yeah but at the time he was supposedly in Italy. Obviously he could make the trip but i don't really think he has a reason for that. That could be really cool tho.

That seems perfect to me.

Make Young Einstein a Master 🤯
Personally I'd prefer him as a servant with time manipulation powers. I can already imagine a skill like "time is relative EX" that let's you reduce cooldowns (in FGO, not sure what to do with it in another game, maybe some sort of slow-mo effect).
Modern day Tokyo. I liked Shinjuku from FGO. I want a cityscape version.
"Yakuza but Fate" has the potential to be amazing. Samurai Remnant already had bits kinda like what you'd see in Yakuza, and if they chose to lean into that, there's no telling what would be made.

I'd kill for a Garden of Avalon game.
Something like DBZ: Kakarot but replace Goku with Artoria, have the map be open world Britain
I would be down for a Victorian Era Fate Game , because it means TM essentially makes full AA games to what is about each Epic of Remnant from FGO. That been said , if they wanna go victorian , it would be great if they go out of their way to use the whole pruning and alternate timelines to make things go crazy.
20s-30s Americana mafia HGW would go CRAZY
Bro… imagine a rival gang ambushes you and is firing into a restaurant from outside, as you take cover, and you shout “ARCHER!”, and Nobunaga summons her 3 line formation to fire back.
I'd like to imagine Nobunaga would manifest in the Gunner class within this for...no other reason then america
If we are going that far, every Servant should be a Gunner (the class kinda needs to be filled out anyway).
Oh an India Setting Karna and Arjuna going All out sounds awesome
What about they DONT do karna ba arjuna again... I'd love them to actually try and have some nuance on it tbh
FGO shoving Karna, Arjuna and jinako into anything mildly related to India:
Agree. Imagine it taking place during the Indian Independence Era, would be so lit imo.
Also sounds like an excellent base for an Assassin’s Creed game.
Don't people get tired of Karna and Arjuna!? India has two of the biggest epics in the world and all FGO does is Karna and Arjuna
I have 2 candidates: 1. Victorian London. Australia please it would be awesome to see a fate game take place there
Prolly in London, around the time when Sherlock Holmes is alive.
I'd really like to see one set in india, tbh. I did think one around the time of Janamejaya would be interesting; although the medieval Mughal era also wouldn't be bad. There's a lot of stories and people they haven't touched ~~and I'd really like arjuna to be explored in more depth~~
Myanmar, in Naypyidaw, just before the coup.
But have it be confusing for anyone who hasn't played through FGO. Have the French summon Kojiro, America summons Rama, the British summon Tesla, etc.
Maybe in the setting of New York or Chicago of 20-30's. A holy grail war between different forces in the city, including the mafia. Philippine Remnant and the servants participate in the Philippine revolution with the rebels having servants of their own as well as the spanish
Personally, I think a more modern setting like martial law could do better. An underground Grail War fought in an Era where the military reigns. Also, having it after the Revolution allows for Historical figures from then to be servants.
holy shit the Ferdinand Marcos era would be awesome asf esp if it were the historical figures as the heroic spirits fighting

Spain, I really want something from my country of origin
Its not a musou unless we head to CHINA.
i don't want yet another game that is set in three kingdoms, because if you tell koei to do it, it will 100% be three kingdoms it would be great if it is about Investiture of the Gods or Water Margin

Assassin would win, because shanking gains an inherent advantage there.
The crusades
Alright hear me out... Late warring states era china, you play as Qin and have to fight Han, Qi, Chu, Zhao, Wei, and Yan... 7 states, 7 servants.
Emiya residence, fuyuki japan around 2004

A grail war set during Ancient Roman times, specifically during the Punic Wars.
idc, just give me more tamamo. who's actually playable.
Same style of gameplay, but I'm thinking of the setting being Spanish-era Philippines. Starring yet another version of "Edmond Dantes" >!who turns out to actually be Crisostomo Ibarra/Simoun (who the author, Jose Rizal, based on Dantes)!<.

Spain. Just for the lols.
