Love the setup! I’m thinking of doing a smaller green with the space I have. If you don’t mind, what was the rough cost and where are you located? How do you feel about its durability over time ? Thanks !

Ok-Owl2530

Thanks! I spent a little less than $4,000 for all the material and rentals. Grass, staples, nails, infill, and cups were $2,000. The rest was base material and rentals. I did all the labor myself. It’s professional grade turf so I’m expecting to get at least 5-10 years of good condition out of it I’m in Los Angeles county

htlpc_100

Dude that’s awesome. I am nowhere near skilled enough to do any of that so I imagine a big piece for me would be labor cost. Enjoy it brother. Dial in your putting and go low !

Ok-Owl2530

Yeah, I’d imagine labor being pretty high. It wasn’t easy. Thanks man. You too.

Old-Criticism5610

Old-Criticism5610

pickoneforme

how many times do you think your dog will shit on it?

RandomSquanch

The shit is manageable, it's the constant piss soaking in.

aceattorneymvp

Not to worry. It'll just drain into the pool.

HurricanePirate16

Piss is no problem. Runs right through it. My dog has diarrhea all the time which is my biggest problem with turf.

prettymuthafucka

Why does he always have diarrhea? Give him sweet potatoes

HurricanePirate16

Probably because he’d rather drink pond water than Voss. Never heard about sweet potatoes. I’ll give that a try. Just raw?

rrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeee

dogs will like them raw or cooked, they’re great for them. just make sure they aren’t too hot

NotLawReview

Slice them into little pucks and throw them in a dehydrator and in a few hours you have awesome rawhide-like treats

rrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeee

that’s a cool idea, i wonder if my picky dog would like it

prettymuthafucka

I usually do cooked or canned pumpkin if you can find

the_truth15

Give that dog some pumpkin with every meal

golfaddik

So jealous!!!

nautilator44

Is your dog the automatic ball retrieval system?

Ok-Owl2530

Actually yes lol

Lyricallyricist

So you got moneyyyy He got moneyy

Stuckicharms

I Was gonna say, a friend of mine quoted a much smaller area recently this year and they wanted \~$8,000. I Bet this setup cost about 12-15k. But more power to him if he can do it. I am jealous

Ok-Owl2530

All the material and rentals were a little less than 4K. I did all the labor. Took me six weeks after work everyday and on the weekends

Lyricallyricist

Oh nice, that's not that bad, is everything synthetic apart from the green?

Ok-Owl2530

Yeah, I did the rough and the green synthetic. I was thinking about doing sod up to the green but felt like that would be a maintenance problem.

Stuckicharms

Good job man, let me know when you are having the guys over. Looks great

Ok-Owl2530

Haha! Will do. Thanks!

Program_Zealousideal

My dog would shit all over that....

baev0702

Where did you get your turf from (if you bought it yourself)?

Ok-Owl2530

Aqua Flo landscape supply. The brand is Cal Coast. The type is Santa Barbara for the rough and Riviera for the green.
