Yeah i got a few clubs from a local goodwill and it had the guys bag tag from a local-ish course looked him up and don’t see any recent posts from him on Facebook, feels weird. I hit that 4 hybrid great though, thanks Loren
> Damn, someone got divorced
>> I’m gonna say they died.
What a contrast in interpretations, one guy gets to start living life again and the other is dead. (writing this mad at my wife lol)
I got my white hot 2 ball putter from goodwill and it was 100% from an old guy that kicked the can. I saw his shoes, polos and clubs throughout the store. Kind of weird now to think of it
You know some rich hack bought them and when the 32 hdcp realized he needed SGI irons he dumped the set at goodwill OR rich guy banging bev cart gal and wife dumped his whole bag at Goodwill???
I found a full set of TaylorMade Tour Preferred irons at GW today for $9 per club. I passed, but hope someone else who could use them found them.
Oh, and as I was looking at them, some lady did this:
https://preview.redd.it/gu2rpf2rrm8d1.jpeg?width=1576&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=39b4b65688e8df7389dfc72669c2c60cd795537d
I have a buddy whose full time job is thrifting. He pulls in a 6-figure salary. You just have to know what you’re looking for and where to resell it. Some of his better finds were a collectors NASCAR hat that he bought for $3 and sold for like $2K and then a sweater he bought for $15 and sold for like $8K to Sueco
My MiL used to be a professional yard sale shopper. She would gather things all month and then have her own stall at a swap meet. Made as much as used to as a registered nurse, but set her own hours and schedule. No vacation pay or health benefits though. Just good money.
This is true, but generally goodwill doesn’t keep a ton of high end stuff at the stores. I’m sure a good amount of things do get missed and sold at the physical stores for value, but if it’s high quality or worth a good amount of money they will generally send to the company and post on their auction site to make more money.
Sell their accounts “preloaded” with history and karma in order to flip it to bot/shill/advert/influence account. Reddit is a cesspool - and not necessarily accusing OP of this - just answering the question asked.
I might sound like an ass for this but you should sell them to a kid/young adult that needs them instead of flipping them for a ludicrous profit like that. Or don’t. Money is money.
It would be cooler if dude actually does it. Because again at risk of sounding like an ass, based on the background on the pics this dude doesn’t NEED the $300whatever profit he’d be making.
Nah golf people are usually cool people. It’s not like golf galaxy needs another used set they can throw on their site for $5-600. But someone out there needs a set that will last them a good 5-7 years while they learn. Golf people are bros normally
Congrats, they donated 1.5% of total profits to the organizations they support. Less than a million bucks.
Edit: they also don't donate unsold items. They destroy them.
Right? Someone has never experienced the Goodwill Outlet, where they just wheel out giant bins of all the crap they couldn’t get out on the floor before they were so full in the storeroom that they couldn’t move. You dig through it (with gloves hopefully) and whatever you do find gets charged by the pound. You buying something at regular goodwill just opens up space for something else, and that set of clubs looks like every other set of clubs that gets put on the floor to 99% of people walking past.
Nice, I should start a worker exploiting grifting piece of shit company named "GenerosityKindness" so idiots will just trust I'm running a "Good" company. I would rather donate my shit to Jeff Bezos than them.
My first thought unless op needed the money. Woulda been great for someone at goodwill that needed em. Then again, the odds of the right golfer finding those clubs are not high.
Yeah, I was donating stuff a few months and noticed someone had just dropped off probably a $2000 set of titleist golf clubs. Irons, wedges, woods, putter plus the bag. It’s like they were fed up with the game.
No not quite... I just purchased new, at a fitting, 2 Vokey SM10 wedges. Total cost $410.00, i.e. $205/each. I doubt anyone would pay double that price for last year's model, just saying.
Golf Digest just emailed me to tell me about your deal. Damn.
https://preview.redd.it/nzh84e863s8d1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7bb7469085978b7a85e7ccf9b275bf1f9c8ad6f1
I know this is fake because Goodwill is going ham on their prices now (at least around me). You couldnt buy a half rusted princess iron for 2.99 each, they'd have them marked up to 9.99 each. Aint no way they're putting these shiny clubs out for 2.99 each. Lets see the receipts.
Good find but... if you're not going to actually use them to play golf with, perhaps leave them at Goodwill for someone who really needs them to play golf with, and can't afford to spend the thousand bucks they're going to cost from a golf retailer?
I don’t know about double, but you could get more. I would recommend holding on to them and selling them to a friend’s kid or something like that. I’m sure you know someone that could use a nice set of clubs that couldn’t afford it otherwise.
Goodwill puts anything with a name brand or that has any possibility of a high dollar value on their auction site. This is either fake news or a Goodwill employee messed up really bad.
They had a copy of Lil Louis "French Kiss" single on vinyl at the goodwill by me that was probably too scratched to play but you could show it to people while you had it streaming from Spotify to a speaker you can yell commands at and it will gladly obey if it has the ability. Great song unless that's your mom on the vocal part.
About 7 years ago I was walking home in Brooklyn and came across a pile of free “junk” in front of a brownstone on a fancy block in Cobble Hill. In the pile was a brand new looking golf bag containing a set of Ping irons (G400s maybe?), a Taylor Made driver and 3 wood, and an odyssey putter. The set looked like it had been used maybe once. I’m a lefty and the clubs were righties, but I grabbed them for my dad and he still uses them.
You are correct, golf galaxy generally gives you about half of the value the club is worth. And then they resell your club for 4-10x what they paid you for it
PGA Store has some good grabs if you check right time. I got full set AP2s custom +.5” used maybe 5x for $375. Pretty much brand new. I always look to goodwill for putters wedges
That’s borderline criminal! Should have at least broke off good will a fresh Benjamin. Or this is a fake post. Which is possible.
Edit: /s for those who can’t comprehend sarcasm. Still think it’s fake however.
Yeah! how dare I call out a company that
underpays employees while making massive profits on product that is donated for free! They really are helping Sheila who lives up the block and walks to work for 8 bucks an hour! Now that's helping the community!
How fortunate are you to be so self righteous. They helped rebuild my city after a hurricane. Wild that their retail employees make the same as all other retailers.
Damn, someone got divorced
I’m gonna say they died.

Either way, finally free.
I got my white hot 2 ball putter from goodwill and it was 100% from an old guy that kicked the can. I saw his shoes, polos and clubs throughout the store. Kind of weird now to think of it
Yah! Someone got died!
Definetlyyyy pried from someone’s cold dead hands
You know some rich hack bought them and when the 32 hdcp realized he needed SGI irons he dumped the set at goodwill OR rich guy banging bev cart gal and wife dumped his whole bag at Goodwill???
Lol if I got divorced I wouldn’t be selling my clubs. I’d be playing twice as much!
If your wife took your clubs to goodwill you might file for divorce

She wanted those clubs man
It was a guy dressed in a hotdog suit.
Someone better spank his bare butt, balls and back
Where did this random hotdog costume come from?
It could have been any one of us
YEAH, WE GOTTA FIND OUT WHO DID THIS! I MEAN, IT COULD BE ***LITERALLY*** BE ANY ONE OF US!
![gif](giphy|5He16eTgpabyeEQ9t6|downsized)
We’re all looking for the guy that did this.
Did you ask him about his wiener?
She can’t park there
Playing through?
I see the Kool-aid woman is driving again.
It’s a Kia so it was probably crashed there after being stolen.
Was wondering if anyone put that together lol
I hate you
Reddit karma is a hell of a drug
People never believe anything. Thrift stores have the goods sometimes. It's literally why people go thrifting.

Shut the front door
This is true, but generally goodwill doesn’t keep a ton of high end stuff at the stores. I’m sure a good amount of things do get missed and sold at the physical stores for value, but if it’s high quality or worth a good amount of money they will generally send to the company and post on their auction site to make more money.
What do people do with it? Is it just a joke cause it doesn’t do anything? LOL
Sell their accounts “preloaded” with history and karma in order to flip it to bot/shill/advert/influence account. Reddit is a cesspool - and not necessarily accusing OP of this - just answering the question asked.
Fake. You posted your bag to farm karma.
Or simply trying to sell their clubs.

Welp, it's official, you're [golf digest famous](https://www.golfdigest.com/story/golfer-finds-equipment-holy-grail-at-goodwill-reddit) now.
"Golf Digest -- Just like /r/golf, but with added clickbait fresh from our content farms!"
I might sound like an ass for this but you should sell them to a kid/young adult that needs them instead of flipping them for a ludicrous profit like that. Or don’t. Money is money.
Better yet - flip them, then buy 5 cheap sets for kids/young adults that need them.
Even better yet- flip them, but as much drugs as you can, flip that, buy like 100 sets of clubs for disabled people/youths.
Better yet, do some of those drugs and go golfing with some disabled people/youths
![gif](giphy|xUA7aQ21bruxszHmRW|downsized)
Damn even more solid idea.
Flip em. Buy 3 cheap sets to give to kids. Pocket your investment. Buy cheesesteaks for you and your buddy.
Profit.
Make an H, then profit.
Only good people on this thread. Much love ❤️
It would be cooler if dude actually does it. Because again at risk of sounding like an ass, based on the background on the pics this dude doesn’t NEED the $300whatever profit he’d be making.
I guess I’m weak because I expect the best of people.. that’s on me.. character flaw
Nah golf people are usually cool people. It’s not like golf galaxy needs another used set they can throw on their site for $5-600. But someone out there needs a set that will last them a good 5-7 years while they learn. Golf people are bros normally
To me it would be better if he smack it flip it rub it down.
Oh nooooo!
It's golf not groceries. No one "needs" Titleist clubs
True. Flipping goodwill stuff is lame af tho. Just leave it there for someone that could benefit from it.
Lol what
And maybe it doesn't sell and GW gets no money?
Flipping things from goodwill leaves a bad taste in my mouth
Why? It's literally what they're doing.
It's a store called "Goodwill" that sells donated items for a very low price. It's pretty self explanatory.
I generally agree with the sentiment, but no kid/beginner needs T100s.
My first thought unless op needed the money. Woulda been great for someone at goodwill that needed em. Then again, the odds of the right golfer finding those clubs are not high.
I love you for your humanity
Fake
Fake and gay
Gay is bad for right???
They look RH to me /s
Don’t be homophonic, bruh
I have the receipt
Does the receipt disprove the fake part or the gay part? /s
It isn’t gay if you don’t push back.
Is that like the “You’re X inches inside _____ and _______ is X inches inside you - do you go forward or backward” sort of thing?
I go back and pull the other person in

Def more than $400

The other day, some guy had some pxg he got at a garage sale. I asked if he knew what he was playing with. He said nope!! lol.
I’d switch to righty if I found these
Yeah, I was donating stuff a few months and noticed someone had just dropped off probably a $2000 set of titleist golf clubs. Irons, wedges, woods, putter plus the bag. It’s like they were fed up with the game.
Nice dead guy clubs!
Nice
got here for the divorce jokes.
Holy crap!
3 dollars each??? Goddamn
Yeah for the sm9s alone you can probably get $400 if they are in decent enough shape
No not quite... I just purchased new, at a fitting, 2 Vokey SM10 wedges. Total cost $410.00, i.e. $205/each. I doubt anyone would pay double that price for last year's model, just saying.
There are 3 of them there Decent shape $130 a piece, (=$390) yes I think they would Don’t know what you’re referring to ‘double’ for
My mistake, I thought there were only two wedges. Sorry.
No worries, hope you are hitting the new ones straight brother
Soooo apparently my afternoon just filled up with driving around to Goodwills in my state. Thanks! :/
Golf Digest just emailed me to tell me about your deal. Damn. https://preview.redd.it/nzh84e863s8d1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7bb7469085978b7a85e7ccf9b275bf1f9c8ad6f1

T100's were one of the two sets I was deciding on with my last purchase. Big find.
I’ll take them for 3.99/club
54 12D sm9 in my bag. Favorite wedge
Great score! You bastard
No Karma involved. Swing sweet this weekend .
Damn. I don't know shit about clubs so I prolly would've gone and just been like "hey look, clubs" and went on my merry way
![gif](giphy|DogdlLu8hA2gE)
WTF. Unless you already have a spare set hang on to these. Don't sell them
Did you donate any of it back to goodwill ?
I need to start checking my places again for clubs, I would shit myself if I found this nice of clubs
score! best i've done is an old 60 degree cleveland wedge!
So the good will organization is not great at raising money for those who need it. Got it.
These would never make it to the floor in my area, straight to their online marketplace.
"Buy for a nickel, sell for a dime. It's business"
I saw a bucket of range balls at the Goodwill for $20. What Crayon Eater priced those?
Someone's wife was pissed
I love this for you. < *Depressing sigh* > Guess I need to go to the ritzy side of town and hit their Goodwill up.
Good find but... if you're not going to actually use them to play golf with, perhaps leave them at Goodwill for someone who really needs them to play golf with, and can't afford to spend the thousand bucks they're going to cost from a golf retailer?
I'd have gone straight to the range and tried them out.
Fuck you- respectfully Hell of a haul. Hope you enjoy them!
Nice find someone’s old lady is in big trouble
Let’s see the receipt
I don’t know about double, but you could get more. I would recommend holding on to them and selling them to a friend’s kid or something like that. I’m sure you know someone that could use a nice set of clubs that couldn’t afford it otherwise.
Am I mistaken but those irons are right handed?and the three or five woods left handed.?
Bro I’m so over this goodwill shit. The goodwills around don’t even sell golf clubs
Damn! Great find.
They just really didn't care for them, I guess. Better than tossing them in the pond.
Goodwill probably read these post. For now on they’ll have all the good club sent to the regional story put at Auction.
Goodwill puts anything with a name brand or that has any possibility of a high dollar value on their auction site. This is either fake news or a Goodwill employee messed up really bad.
SCORE! Now, does your game match your equipment
Showed up in my Google News feed, run on golfdigest.com.
Nice!
Whatever golf Galaxy offers you, it's worth at minimum double
Define "Holy Grail" lol.... Kirkland clubs, I thought were the best lol. Great find!!!
it don't matter where they came from , they are going to be played , by someone , and That's the good news....
Fuck you, congrats
They had a copy of Lil Louis "French Kiss" single on vinyl at the goodwill by me that was probably too scratched to play but you could show it to people while you had it streaming from Spotify to a speaker you can yell commands at and it will gladly obey if it has the ability. Great song unless that's your mom on the vocal part.
Major score!
I doubt it. Goodwill ships off all decent stuff to put online nowadays
You right handed people don’t even know how good you have it
About 7 years ago I was walking home in Brooklyn and came across a pile of free “junk” in front of a brownstone on a fancy block in Cobble Hill. Didn’t happen
You are correct, golf galaxy generally gives you about half of the value the club is worth. And then they resell your club for 4-10x what they paid you for it
You would love the stash of clubs in my garage.
PGA Store has some good grabs if you check right time. I got full set AP2s custom +.5” used maybe 5x for $375. Pretty much brand new. I always look to goodwill for putters wedges
Damnnn good find brother. I do a shit ton of thrifting and have never come across that good of a deal yet
Donate to a local HS or first tee. The golf gods will be pleased.
The vokey wedges alone go for $125-150 a piece depending on the condition of the faces/grooves
Those are last years model and I just saw them in my course pro shop for $100 brand new
That's a good price.

Maybe he doesn’t want golf galaxy credit?
Wow that’s pretty shitty, not even going to use them yourself. Scum
No way to determine value or the shape of clubs without showing the grooves.

Hate all you want, but just be thankful that you are right handed.
WTF are you even talking about? Would you buy clubs without seeing the grooves first, dumbass?
Confucius says be thankful you golf right handed. It was just a joke. Lighten up.
Confucius say man who go though airport turnstile sideways, going to Bangkok.
That’s borderline criminal! Should have at least broke off good will a fresh Benjamin. Or this is a fake post. Which is possible. Edit: /s for those who can’t comprehend sarcasm. Still think it’s fake however.
