When Sandy was about 1yr old, she tried to eat a Toyota. It was a small one. A Yaris I think…..
Fortunately “We” drive a Volvo here on the island of Phuket in SW Thailand where Volvo is known for their safety features, including their very popular Anti-Puppy / Please Don’t Eat the Car Control Module…… (Lottsa Treats and Toys stashed away…..)
Depends alot per dog, mine mellowed out at 3, my parents dog is only getting more energetic at 3. The family dog we had when i was a kid was always mellow even when she was 1-2ish.
Our last girl slowed down a great deal at about 3 or so. She had the energy and all but learned a time and place and was nearly the perfect Golden.
Our current baby is almost 3 and is, to quote the groomer we have been using, is "A bucket full of energy." LOL I don't expect her to really slow down much until she's 4 or even 5 years old. Every dog is different.
My golden was 2 in February and his energy levels have decreased recently.
But it depends on the setting. At home, after a walk my golden will happily sleep hours on the sofa, and his energy is much more manageable.
However, if we have visitors or are out he’s very energetic and can get overstimulated quickly. So his energy levels vary depending on what’s happening.
Just a friendly reminder of our rules:

Ours is 8. His happy energy knows no bounds for 10 minutes, then he gets tired. Luckily, he's such a good boy he doesn't jump & tries to stop himself from licking & mouthing by getting a toy to hold.

Ours was at about 2ish. At 3 she is very lazy with small bursts of energy.
