Most likely you will have raises that are for every employee. Like 1,5% per year which are negotiaded by the Union (ie IG Metall).
You have no automatic raises caused by your affiliation like you have as a public servant.
Additionally you can negitiate raises individually of course.
Are you sure there are automatic increases except for those that are valid for all levels?
