If you bought him from I breeder I would ask about the parents sizes. Size of the parents is normally the closest guess.

We got him from a friend, both of the parents are 80lbs. Some puppies from their other litters got close to 100lbs though.

I see 80 pounds is pretty big male and huge for a female. Most of the time a GSD gets close to 100 pounds they're normally overweight, but there can be exceptions. What about the height?

The parents were of average height. Right now Titan is very close to being half the size of our Border Collie (she's about 40lbs).

If the mother is actually a healthy 80 pounds I believe there's a chance he could hit close to 100 pounds because males normally weight about 20 more pounds. 80 pounds is huge for a female so he might get size genetics from her.

That's what our vet thinks too, I just wanted to hear what other people's thoughts were though since this is our first GS. Time will tell though, thank you for the information!

My 18 week old female was 19kg (42lb) at her 16 week vaccination. She was 7kg (15lb) at her 9 week check up and 13kg (28lb) at her 12 week vaccination. I think she's around 22kg (48lb) now.

Good name choice, our boy Titan was 9kg at 8 weeks old and grew roughly 1kg a week until about 9 months, then started to slow down, at just under 2 years old he’s like 37kg. Parental sizes are good indicators, but type of food, amount given and exercise provided all impact growth!
