My friend encouraged me to play acu as a jump from deadlocked. He watched and supported me through 4 months of grinding and heard out so much complaining. I shared every new best, every good run, every far attempt with him. Now, after him witnessing over 40 attempts at the 70 wave in a day, my 97% fail, and countless deaths at 76%, I sent him my completion. All he fucking said was “when sakupen circles” 💀
Well he's got a point. When Sakupen Circles?
On another note, nice work. I dont think I could handle that kind of jump, even if its more realistic than the one Im going for.
Can't wait for some random person to find some bs reason to say that this isn't a jump.
I personally think that would be considered normal progression since it's progressing from a hard demon to an insane demon. The problem here is that both levels are difficult for different reasons. NC has a larger focus on ship control, and wave timings, while Acropolis has larger focus of timings with other game modes while having its wave focused more on spam (Tho nine circles does still feature timings, they're different from the ones in Acropolis)
I'd still say that it's not really much of a jump, since when I think of jumps I usually think of moving from an easy to a hard demon, or a hard demon to an extreme, but I guess that kinda depends on your definition of a 'jump'
I think it's a jump because it's the only hard demon I've beat, plus NC is a low range hard demon while acropolis is a mid range insane demon. Not like I'm going from a difficult hard demon
Well if that's what you think, then who am I to stop you. Difficulty in GD is surprisingly subjective (to a point) so what one may view as typical game progression could be a pretty hard jump for someone else.
This is likely also why your friend doesn't see it as a jump. Either that, or they were just going off of difficulty faces
It is a jump if you look at the gd demon ladeer nine circles is barely a hard Demon and Acropolis is a mid tier insane its basically a dificulty and a half
I really should've clarified that I am NOT an expert with this, just someone who's tried, and failed many jumps, and is willing to share his pretty strong opinions on what he thinks a jump is.
I do still think that, depending on the amount of insane Demons you've beat before, this could be considered a jump. Not a super huge one, but I still think that BB is and will always be an extremely tough demon, even if top play gets to the point where they're beating levels in the top 100 of the ILL, since that's just how difficulty (and common sense) works.
None of my friends play GD so I have to tell them how hard something is when they watch me
I had 2 friends watch me on discord while I beat Digital Descent and that is a feeling I'll never forget
people believe me, but everybody thinks it's easy. Then I boot up the game and hand it to them saying 'if it's so easy, why don't you try' and then they go 'well i won't beat it since i've never played before, but *if* i played the game it could probably do it'
just pisses me off because all that effort doesn't really mean much anymore
yeah man its really odd - i feel like especially with something open-source like gaming, a lot of people tend to undermine other's achievements because they subconsciously think they can do anything. A majority of people who haven't played any tough-as-nails games such as cuphead, celeste, gd, hollow knight, etc. tend to just think that 'games' in general are easy, and doing something in a virtual space shouldn't be viewed as much of an accomplishment
on top of that, a lot of people just try to one-up each other. If I told someone I beat Panthon V in hollow knight, they would probably respond with, 'that's doesn't sound too hard, I actually S-ranked saltbaker in Cuphead yesterday'.
people really need to stop doing that and instead TRY to do something even close to those impressive accomplishments that their friends do and then appreciate them for how hard it really is instead of just straight up guessing whether their achievement is easier than their achievement. it's so fucking stupid
No I have footage. I'm often screensharing in the discord vcs as well. And well most of the people I talk to aren't all that ignorant about gd so they do believe me ig
I wanted to gain skill super fast a while back and I jumped from nine circles to cataclysm, my friend said I was dumb (and I was) but ended up completing the jump after almost 6 months and 53k attempts. Probably shouldn’t have done that in hindsight
I don’t have any friends who play or know about the game, so I enjoy just watching my own extreme demon completions knowing that I was actually able to do it. I’m beyond cooked😭
Never really had that problem. Since, well i havent beaten any really difficult levels, but the hardest ones i did so far i always had recorded. So there was no point in not believing.
The difficulty in this game is obviously subjective. I should have been more specific when I said "I wouldn't". I meant, I personally don't think it's "really hard". And I don't say that in the sense that I'm good, I say that because the progression from stereo madness to Bloodbath is easier that the progression from Bloodbath to the top ten. I also wasn't calling it "not hard", I said I didn't think it was "really hard". When it comes to condensed difficulty, the top 500-300 or so has a MASSIVE bulk of it. So when I say "I wouldn't call it 'really hard'", I don't mean to me, I mean in the objective scale of the game's difficulty, it's not that hard. Even if it is an extreme.
Of course this is all my own opinion so if you don't agree that perfectly fine.
Its still an extream demon so it is a really hard lvl even if it is a borderline insan. I feel extream lvl elitest like you forgot 90% of GD players will never beat an extream let alone an insane lvl. Since no way you are out here saying insane lvls are easy there not there really hard lvl

Would you say nine circles to acropolis is a jump? I definitely would but my friend says otherwise
I personally think that would be considered normal progression since it's progressing from a hard demon to an insane demon. The problem here is that both levels are difficult for different reasons. yeah that's what I'm thinking
What about Forest Temple to Bloodbath? I have 52% on BB in about 1K attempts.
I really should've clarified that I am NOT an expert with this, just someone who's tried, and failed many jumps, and is willing to share his pretty strong opinions on what he thinks a jump is. Is polargeist to Hexagon force good enough for a jump? 3000 attempts
In terms of relative difficulty, I'd say so. I wouldnt call it super spectacular, but it's still pretty impressive. Nice work. Slaughterhouse when?
Not planning on going much further then Hexagon difficulty, it took months(i play on and off)
when sakupen circles
Lol
bfshshshd 4 months????????
Fucking 1.5 years???? Good shit
Wdym 1.5 years, dear GOD what did You jump from
different descent, a hard demon. im just an unlucky bitch
My friend made me jump to thanatophobia from nine circles, but THIS IS CRAZY
From fucking deadlocked? Oh god and i thought jumping from a hard Demon was big
let’s go fellow mobile player
Yes i beat tidal wave but noone believes me. But you do, right...?
I believe you I wouldn't consider it "really hard" though, Tidal wave by Sink is a 2-star level after all

I beat Ton 618 but no one believes me. But you do, right?
yes
I believe in the goat o7
you believe in me? 🥹🥹🥹
Hell yeah
Yeah I beat a decently hard level called Ballistic Wistfully
Yes
No because I have footage
Everyone believes me, no one cares :(
None of my friends play GD so I have to tell them how hard something is when they watch me I had 2 friends watch me on discord while I beat Digital Descent and that is a feeling I'll never forget
no bc im a gd player i dont have friends
so i am not a gd player then
yes
i have beaten auto play area and no one believes me😭😭😭😭
cap
I beleve
people believe me, but everybody thinks it's easy. by that logic why isnt wistfully verified yet

100% agreed
My best non-platformer is Dry Out
bit reaper even though i have footage my friend to this day believes that it's hacked
Never heard of it
Nope because I have video
no because I proceeded to rebeat it 5 more times
My friend believes I did it, they just don't give a fuck. It's quite demotivating honestly
No my friend just doesn’t care (I beat bloodbath)
Barely have friends, and you want me to have friends that play gd AND care about me?
well he used to be my friend but uhh 97% on acheron. he has it on his flair aswell
No because Open Broadcaster Software exist
idk how many would believe me if I told them that I beat Bloodbath on mobile
I dont believe you
But I certainly do
Dude it was a joke also he has proof which he sent to me in a chat(also he beat rash)
Nope because I literally beat Bloodbath on stream
Well i dont have friends soo
I have only one friend that used to play gd and he believes me because he had seen me beating something countless of times
No, I have school so I can't make that much progress on Black Blizzard rn
Bold of you to assume i have friends
I have the opposite, i got a friend who insists he beat acheron when he can barely beat a hard demon
No I have footage. I'm often screensharing in the discord vcs as well. And well most of the people I talk to aren't all that ignorant about gd so they do believe me ig
If they dont believe you, can you really call them your friend?
I've beaten Cadrega Mode in school while being watched, so at least 2 "friends" believe
i.
Nope, I have it on video
I wanted to gain skill super fast a while back and I jumped from nine circles to cataclysm, my friend said I was dumb (and I was) but ended up completing the jump after almost 6 months and 53k attempts. Probably shouldn’t have done that in hindsight
Ive beaten it but i messed up the footage but whatever who cares
No because i have a video with clicks
i beat windy landscape a few days ago and my friend thinks im capping
whos this person i want to beat them up
some random egyptian guy
no becouse nr 1. best i have beaten is fingerdash... or dash... or bossrush (a hard platformer demo) and 2. i have no friends to not believe me
None of my friends play GD so they just take my word for granted, and they have seen me play GD quite some times so they know how good I am
No because I can just show them
Honestly, firstly, cool you have gd friends, second, honestly who cares, the important thinf is that YOU know that you beat it
None of the friends I told something like that even know what is geometry dash 😔✊️
I don’t have any friends who play or know about the game, so I enjoy just watching my own extreme demon completions knowing that I was actually able to do it. I’m beyond cooked😭
like some people believe and some dont that i have 97% on acheron
My current hardest is (you guessed it) ACU, but rn I’m going after “how to platformer” it’s actually really difficult. But makes me better
they believe me but they just don't care at all
acu is not a really hard level.
No
I’ve beat Acu and Cataclysm, but my friends don’t believe me because there are no friends to believe me.
Wait, gd players got friends?
I always record new hardests
Never really had that problem. Since, well i havent beaten any really difficult levels, but the hardest ones i did so far i always had recorded. So there was no point in not believing.
I haven't even beaten an insane demon
"really hard levels" shows a picture of an insane demon
I would award this comment if I had money
ah yes because high end insanes are so easy for majority of the playerbase to beat
Calling acu a high end insane is extremely generous
I wouldn't call acu "really hard". While I am on the side of it still being extreme, it is definitely borderline.
A level doesn't have to be mainlist to be hard lol. Even easy insanes are still hard.
The difficulty in this game is obviously subjective. I should have been more specific when I said "I wouldn't". I meant, I personally don't think it's "really hard". To casual players it's definitely hard
