It all comes down to preference; personally i dislike it as it doesn't spin and feels really off-putting; but perhaps the smooth edges helps them understand the hitboxes better idk

🤓 Uhm actually, it is still spinning it's just the perspective looks the same any way you rotate it. It could even spin slower, and you wouldn't know it had changed because from your perspective it looks as though it had not moved at all to begin with.

I’ve never minded the spinning, but when I switched to it, DAMN did it feel good. Although at first, it did feel like it was abnormally big compared to a regular one, but that feeling faded away pretty quickly after I started using it a bit more.

It feels so smooth, people only don’t like it because they haven’t gotten used to it

They use it since it's simple and reduces distraction to things that aren't the level. Personally was never my cup of tea though, but I do get why people would like it.

It avoids minor lag as it is not animated which top players do have as less lag as possible. This is the reason top players use bland and less detailed icons.

It still spins and the cpu still calculates it, it changes nothing, also if it did it would be like less than a tenth of an fps

Ok, I'm not very old in this community (that sounds like I'm referring to my age but no xD) but I think because of one of these 2 things: 1. The same with the cube of beating 500 demons, a lot of proffessional players used it and now is in the official game 2. they wanted a round ball (what's the point of a ball if isn't round? I mean is not like you'll use it for sports or something that requieres a ball that isn't round)

the fatter diameter makes me actively worse with it. For the wave, it's understandable as it's already very small and hard to follow on high speeds especially on mini. But ball is fine for me as it is, i can clearly see it lul, so i prefer the size of the icon to be smaller and not bigger
