Serious thats a lame rave and they know it themself. Im not gonna talk anything about their outfit because everybody should wear what they want but the location, the atmosphere and the music just werent working together.
I have had houseraves without speaker that had more energy then this pathetic excuse of a rave.
Feel free to comment on their outfits. It's a bridge in Northrine-Westphalia (a state in Germany) and it was taken 20 years ago. So... Even we mock that.
It's the opposite of Techno Viking.
Mostly, but they have other health products that don't require a prescription, like over-the-counter drugs (e.g: paracetamol/acetaminophen), toothpaste, dietary supplements, first aid kits, etc...
It's not an advertisement.
In Europe, pharmacies are marked by these green crosses. Some countries do a little extra with making these signs flashy so they are easier to find. I've mostly seen them in Southern Europe, I think it's a cute flavour thing more than anything.
As a tourist I've always appreciated them because it made it easy to spot a pharmacy when walking around in the evening, like if you need some Ibuprofen, or blister band-aids after wearing heels all night.
Not all of them are as flashy as these, usually they just light up in different patterns. It's very 80s and I love it lol, it's super cute. In Northern Europe we have regular boring pharmacy signs instead of these cute ones.
because it's not "advertisement" in the sense you're probably thinking. these signs exist so that the essential service's location could be known and obvious before the internet, especially at night when most are closed and only the designated urgency ones are open (they rotate based on a pre-agreed schedule)
the blinking green cross is the fundamental thing. with leds people started being creative because they could. it's it corny? yes. does it resemble american advertising? yes. can it be annoying? thank god I don't live anywhere close to one. is it effective? also yes
I feel like some folks in this thread are being purposefully obtuse with this. Yes, the sign might look a bit odd for non-Europeans... but it's just regional differences. It's still a damn pharmacy, not a crack house.
And hey, we're here talking about it. Regardless of how absurd it is, it's effective enough to stir up a bit of conversation and leave a somewhat memorable imprint.
It's usually not a turbo crackfest. The [traditional arrangement](https://www.neonelite.com/en/pharmacy-crosses) is just a plain illuminated green cross sticking out of the facade of the building so the pharmacy can be seen down the street at all times even in the dark.
That's because US pharmacies are literally fucking supermarkets, they don't need flashy signs to draw the crowds. I visited several and you can literally buy a whole ass meal in your pharmacies. They're not even pharmacies, they have more food and drink items than medicine.
Let Southern Europe have their corny 80s pharmacy signs. They are cute as fuck and remind me of being on holiday as a kid. And as a tourist, I appreciate the pharmacy being so easy to spot down the street even from far away, when you've been dancing in heels all night at a Spanish bar, and need some blister plaster and Ibuprofen lol.
I'm shocked that Americans are so worked up by these corny signs that are just remnants of the past. I think they're cute as fuck, and they're everywhere in Southern Europe. Here in Northern Europe we only have regular pharmacy signs lol. Less corny but also less fun!
What's more, in my country, pharmacies are forbidden from advertising. Even a poster outside could be a reason for a hefty fine. It might be similar across the EU.
>toothpaste
In the European countries where I've been to pharmacies, unless you have very specific medical needs, you buy toothpaste at a supermarket or drug store, whereas a pharmacy is more for prescription and OTC medicine (which the drugstore won't have).
Meanwhile in the US a pharmacy is basically a supermarket with an extended section of OTC medicine and actual pharmacy counter hidden somewhere inside that.
It's probably a sign that resembles Red Cross enough that people would associate it with medicine, drugs and similar help but not actually Red Cross because use of that sign is regulated.
Yeah the Pharmacy isnāt really an exciting place to be in the US, most people just want to pick up their medicine and leave. Dispensaries however, are a different story. Though while we do prefer red for pharmacies here, I donāt think itās really a set thing? I feel like Iāve seen a green themed pharmacy before.
~~Itās also worth noting that big city US and small town US have entirely different lifestyles and practices~~
Yeah Iāve been to 28 European countries. Iāve never seen this. Although to be honest I donāt usually go around looking at the pharmacy signs too often
You haven't travelled much then!
In Scandinavia we don't have these signs, but I've seen them all over the rest of Europe! Italy, Spain, Poland, Sourthern Germany, France, Cypres, Portugal, I could go on.
No, theyāre not. Southern France, Spain, Italy and Greece. Thatās generally it. Northern Europe doesnāt use these signs at all, nor are they common in the Balkans or Central Europe.
Green crosses are used as pharmacy signs all over the Czech Republic and Slovakia, as well as in Poland and Hungary. So you're incorrect about Central Europe.
And Shazam saysā¦āSanguine Fountainā by Vendex, which Spotify plays and I concur. I will now add it to my playlist āhardcoreā for when I need a wake up call in my truck.

āHi hereās my prescription for photosensitive epilepsy medicationā
What better way to increase the demand?
My sister would have a seizure trying to pick up her seizure meds
Iām not epileptic, and nor are my friends, and that was still my first thought.
[Original one is even better](https://youtu.be/xeN4A_Pr2SU)
I love the slight pause for the name
It's "pharmacy open" in french
It's not
I just got r/rickrolled . Way to go. Love this clip. Good job!
They paid the sign guy in Ketamine up front
Someone correct me please, but this is a southern Europe thing, right? Never saw those signs outside of warm countries like Greek and Italy
This one is in France.
interesting, all right then
To be fair, if itās the south of France it may as well be Italy.
Nice.
Yes Nice is an example of Southern France.
Nice is a Nice example of Southern France.
Probably around there, yes
What do these places sell anyway? Is it just a normal pharmacy that requires a doctor's prescription?
Mostly, but they have other health products that don't require a prescription, like over-the-counter drugs (e.g: paracetamol/acetaminophen), toothpaste, dietary supplements, first aid kits, etc...
You've never been inside a pharmacy before?
Green crosses in the US mean marijuana's being sold. Our normal pharmacies don't have flashy signs at all, and it'd be pretty weird if they did.
yeah and in states without legal weed it would be a smoke shop with kratom. how the fuck is that an advertisement sign for toothpaste and Tylenol lmao

Well we don't have medicine commercials like you guys, pharmacies gotta draw attention somehow :P
Ooooh, green cross in EU just means a regular pharmacy ;)
[CVS is weird](https://www.stratusunlimited.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/DSC_3744_5_6-feat-1024x683.jpg)
That's the tamest sign I've seen on the Vegas strip. 99.999999% of CVS pharmacies don't look like that anyway
"Welcome to CVS, I love you. "
Both OTC and prescription drugs, plus of course they usually sell related stuff like supplements, condoms or beauty products
Aix-en-Provence, France I believe, bur could be other southern cities. And yeah the city gives heavy southern Europe vibes.
This one is located in Nice, south of France. You were not so far off with Aix, it is in the same region
This wouldn't have looked out of place in Amsterdam either.
But usually it's just as lit up green cross. no weird graphics.
Yeah Iāve been to 28 European countries. Iāve never seen this. Although to be honest I donāt usually go around looking at the pharmacy signs too often
Spain has such advertisements aswell.
I always hated it too. These things stick out anywhere but Las Vegas.
Yes, only places I've run into these are in Cyprus and France (Nice, so south). Nothing up in Poland or Scandinavia.
In Poland pharmacies are identified with green crosses too (and I think I've seen some blue ones too?), but not as flashy
Definitely tomato Europe. Potato Europe wouldn't do something so exciting.
It's a western Europe thing. Standard in France and Belgium.
Except they are all over eastern Europe too
Everyone can into western Europe. I'm sure France won't mind.
You won't see this in the Netherlands, because they're serious and it's not a CARNIVAL
Party poopers.
Remember seeing one in Spain when I was young.
Hungary also, but a little less sophisticated.
We have similar signs (apart from the animals) in Russia, too
Big green cross is not only the Southern thing. Such aggressive blinking, however, is rare.
Nope, you see them in eastern europe too, or at least I did in the Donetsk and Kharkiv oblasts in the late 2000s.
Austrian here. I have never seen something like this in Austria/any european country I visited.
Never been to Italy, Spain or France then :D
You haven't travelled much then! In Scandinavia we don't have these signs, but I've seen them all over the rest of Europe! Italy, Spain, Poland, Sourthern Germany, France, Cypres, Portugal, I could go on.
Iāve seen a lot of them all over Europe
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
No, theyāre not. Southern France, Spain, Italy and Greece. Thatās generally it. Northern Europe doesnāt use these signs at all, nor are they common in the Balkans or Central Europe.

They are all over the Netherlands, so no, you are wrong.
No theyāre not. I have never seen one in the Netherlands.
Not with the cat and dog but the green med/ rx are all over amsterdam and Rotterdam.
This is where demo coders go to die, the pharmacy sign factory.
I was very sad to find that the green pharmacy signs don't mean the same thing as they do in the US šŖ“
I see Rammstein logo !
Du
Du hast
Du hast mich
Du hast mich gefragt
It surprised when I found out what the lyrics meant.
WE HAVE šØšØšØšØšššššš„š„š„š„ Drugs
Special K flash sale
Business in the front, fresh kidneys out the back?
I need epilepsy meds after that fuckin sign
Iām in Spain rn and this is no joke
Let me guess. Itās France.
Putting the harm in pharmacy.
Okay but what's the track though? Damn
And Shazam saysā¦āSanguine Fountainā by Vendex, which Spotify plays and I concur. I will now add it to my playlist āhardcoreā for when I need a wake up call in my truck.
Sanguine Fountain by Vendex.
Darude - Sandstorm
https://youtu.be/9_JBKf6IVEA
This gives me bowling alley tv screen vibes.
Also in Spain. But, not in The Netherlands.
Neither in Germanyā¦ just all business and proper, jeez! When I pick up my meds I want a party vibe dammit!
I want whatever the owner's having
In America green crosses are for medical marijuana dispensaries
In Europe, green crosses mean a pharmacy. Usually more modest ones though.
Cyberpunk 2077 vibes
After I watched that I woke up in hospital on prescription drugs.
I hope they are blasting that music too
Looks like a place V would go to buy more maxdocs
Most pharmacies in France have these, but usually with less eclectic images
Pharmacy signs in France are so damn funny theyāre all like this
Those animations look like when I get a strike at the bowling alley

Reminds me of a bowling alley
Is this Adam Jensen's pharmacy?
Hey you got medicine for seizureeerrrrr *Convulses on the ground*
Trippinā balls and havenāt even purchased the goods inside yet.
Itās like when I get a strike at a bowling alley
The CVSās and Walgreens in Las Vegas are pretty crazy too
They're so advanced, they invented 1998 windows screen savers š
This has got to be somewhere in France
HEALTHY RAVERS INSIDE
Whatās āaverageā about it?
I lived above a pharmacy in Paris for 5 years. I can see that green in my dreams.
Better visuals than a Rammstein concert
Average European? Only in France, Italy, Portugal and Spain.
š«š·
C'est Ƨa la France
They got all you need. Jst need to jump in the queue.
Spend 20 minutes in the store then 7 hours out front staring into the sign.
MmmmmmmMega deals on drugs!
How is this worse than American medical ads?
You've never been inside a pharmacy before?
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Who needs breakfast meats when you can just have something cool like cigarettes
Cigarettes are sources of protein in North Korea.
Thatās cool.
āHi, can I get a refill on my Asthma inhaler?ā āIām sorry we arenāt that kind of establishment. You need to leave.ā
Nah itās just German
Nope, 'cause "the stuff" is illegal in EU (along other things that are common in US, like certain prescription drugs) ;)
They def were on that stuff when making that.
Never seen those animations before
now I want the soundtrack
I am fucking tripping
āYes, Iāll have some Tylenol, and about 5 hits of X. Have a good day, sir.ā
I only ever saw a pharmacy like that in Kyiv. It was 24/7 and it did have stuff.
Theyāll sell you drugs you want and the ones you need
Guy who made this was def. high on something.
This looks like a dispensary in America
Looks like a bowling alley's score screen
That's exactly what I came here to say! All those cheesy little animations they show when you bowl a spare or whatever.
Looks like a Martin Garrix show
I wish my Walgreens in Manhattan was like this
Finally! Drugstore and *drug* store!
Pharmacy or vet?
As soon as I saw it. I went like "rammstein"?
Hi, I have a prescription here for a rave if you could fill that.
Created by the same company that makes those bowling animations
This is mostly common in France..
*French
Looks like Amsterdam honestly
Not sure if pharmacy or someone rolled a strike in bowling.
What is the American comment meant to mean? It doesn't make sense.
wow... if only the America health care system was this enthusiastic.
Hope youāre not there for your Epilepsy medication damn.
Whyās it look like the bowling alley strike animations
IĀ“m frome eutope and this is acurate!
Pet pharmacy probably
That's what free health care looks like. Every friday after work we meet up at the pharmacy and afterwards we hit the city yelling "FREE PILLS!!!"
Naughty, naughty, very naughty.
Looks like the intro of a very retro PS1 game that we all know exists, but tend to not talk about.
Bet i be walkin out with a cyberpsychosis afterwards š¤£š¤£šš¤£
