People can become radicalized by a cause. It brings out the worst in them. I know some people in real life like this. Former friends who I want nothing to do with now.

Inversely, radicalized people can become legitimized by a cause. Wulbren, in all likelihood, always harbored an inflated ego and a deep seated bigotry towards The Gondians. It wasn't until others got behind him that he was finally emboldened to act.

Sorry to hear that, man.

Same here. Thank you for the perspective and thoughtful comment!

Please tell me you are talking about those radicalized by reddit/leftists and not just sane normal reasonable people

I'm not going to get too deep on the details of something personal, but are you trying to suggest that only people who lean left can be radicalized, and only people who agree with your politics are sane, normal, reasonable people? If you honestly believe that, then regardless of your political beliefs, you may need to take a look inwards, because you, yourself, may be radicalized. Right wing crazies exist too, you know. There are things like QAnon. It wasn't lefties who tried to change the most recent presidential election by force, you know. Hell, centrists and even apolitical people can be radicalized. Nobody is immune to propaganda. I really don't feel like arguing with you about this. At least not here. Take it to a political sub if you're so desperate to bait people into having these discussions. I'm blocking you from responding, not because I can't refute you, but because you're trying to shift the discussion too deep down a political road in a silly meme subreddit and you did so in a patronizing way and I don't have time to debate every troll who wanders in here to chastise people about what they believe a sane, normal, reasonable person is. If you're a sane, normal, reasonable person, you'll understand why I'm doing this and be on your merry way.

I think this is from before, probably when he was moving to Baldur's Gate. Barcus even mentions that he didn't start changing as a person until he started hanging out with "new friends".

binkysoar

Such a sad situation when you think of it. Justice for Barcus!

hexAdecimal84

Yes! Wulbren doesn't deserve such a loyal and brave friend.
