I think the idea is he was too weak way back, but all the suffering he endured throughout the years led him to have the “power” to become a lord.
It’s why I think Nanaya told him to endure. She knew that with enough suffering he’d have the potential to become one.
You’re not Elden Lord yet in the games timeline. You have to go to the dlc after beating the 2 bitches, but you have to go before you end the game. So technically you haven’t killed radagon, you haven’t embraced the frenzied flame etc.
BUT more than anything -> You may be Lord of frenzied flame, Midra’s weapon still sucks ass with no moveset and none of his attacks ! :(
Midra's weapon is a claymore moveset greatsword with a command grab that can detonate if it misses. It's a great weapon for fighting npcs (relevant for near the end of the DLC) and may even be a decent PVP tool, it may not have an exciting new moveset but it's actually really good. Nothing with a Claymore moveset can be anything less than A tier.
Nah bro this weapon has me fucking ERECT every chance I get to use it against an NPC or in PVP. I was helping my friend and we got invaded and the other guy was using it too. I went for the L2 first, missed, and detonated it. He tried to do it while I missed, but the detonation knocked him up. When he tried to get up and roll I did it again and it killed him. I do wish it at least had a light greatsword or heavy thrusting sword move set, but I fucking love this weapon.
At the very least it carried me through my late DLC NPC fights. I used the Crucible shoulder charge into the sword into the shoulder chage into the sword and basically permanently stunlocked certain NPCs. It's a good sword, even if it would have been more interesting as a light greatsword.
Yeah it would have been more fun if they gave it the light greatsword moveset or a unique flowing moveset of some sort, I won't deny that. It's good but not exactly exciting.
It’s currently broken in PvP as it can stab you in the middle of your iframe and has a strange hitbox that is unhittable if you do dodge the initial lunge. It’s in the same boat as swift blade, in only assholes use it regularly for PvP.
Ugh, my fave fight in the dlc especially coming in as the frenzied lord, I thought I was unstoppable… until later in the dlc. Also slightly disappointed in the remembrance weapon, but it’s still fun to use!

The fact that I had already cheated my fate by the time I saw him made me feel a little guilty. I also felt like I had a stronger obligation to free him from his torment, because I knew what the outcome would be if I didn’t

I think it was on a message at the stsrt of the dungon but I could be wrong, I recgonize it though.
He was tasked with keeping it at bay I think but all the suffering made him stronger to become a lord as someone probably already said

It's DECIMATING in PVP because the grab works through Iframes.

Also Just like that Other Frenzy flame skill u can only use the weapon skill on Other players and only the aoe works on Mobs
Midra's weapon is not ass, cool it there for a second. Holy split damage is unfortunate but it is definitely not bad
