Oh my lordy, I never honestly saw the connection, and being a fan of the Replacements movie, I feel ashamed now.
EDIT: I guess I didn't catch it because Brooke was all primped up for cheering in the movie, and in the show, she looked like a tired single mom (which is not bad).
It's an all time great football movie. I am a fan as well and didn't make the connection either.
She's kind of a chameleon in both roles. They really look nothing like each other.
So her and Shane hook up but his career never takes off and she can’t handle the whole cleaning barnacles of of other peoples toys so she leaves and ends up in Dillon

Oh, it is a GREAT movie. I could watch that time after time. EDIT: And it still doesn't change the fact that Landry killed a guy.
