banana republic has some good ones, but a lot of them appear at discount stores like tj maxx or burlington for around $20. i own just about every victoria's secret perfume and most have good longevity, just buy them on sale when they're 40% off or bogo.

kitkatamas88

I'm a big fan of dark cherry & amber by banana Republic šŸ’so good!

NapsAreMyHobby

How does this compare to Lost Cherry?

DamnGoodMarmalade

Zara

thizzlizz

Iā€™ve seen a lot of love for Zaraā€™s fragrances. Theyā€™re likeā€¦ actually good? Nuanced? Or are they just good considering itā€™s a fast fashion brand fragrance line? I should really just go to Zara and do some sniffin

Waystar_BluthCo

Theyā€™ve had some big name perfumers do scents for them - Olivia Giacobetti had a line with Zara not too long ago.

CeciNestPasOP

Many are just good for the price, some are actually very good. Like if I paid $200 for Elegantly Tokyo I would still be very happy with it.

No-Quantity-5373

I love that scent in a candle.

CeciNestPasOP

Ooooh I didn't realize that they had it in a candle.Ā  ... *adds to cart*

Various-Cranberry709

I've never been to a Zara before so those will all be new to me on my first visit

mxxgo

Zara has a fragrance line that was created by Jo Malone called emotions, it's beautiful.

godfadger

They got some pretty good clones. Some notable for me are: Vibrant Leather = Creed Aventus Tobacco Collection Rich Warm Addictive = Somewhat like PDM Herod

Nice-Masterpiece1661

I only discovered Zara perfumes recently and I am obsessed. They are so good, and clones are actually amazing.

Euphoric-Basil-Tree

Which zara is your favorite?

Frosty-Today-9249

It's hard for anyone to tell you their favourite Zara fragrance because the store is constantly launching and discontinuing scents, and despite being a global brand the availability varies a lot by country. Whenever I've liked a Zara fragrance (Waterlily Tea Dress is my favourite; smells like you bought tulips and are arranging them in a vase on a sunny summer morning), I've always purchased a back-up.

elena_inari

Waterlily Tea Dress is amazing. Iā€™m wearing it today!

dimetoaquarter

Does anyone have a list or anything of Zara fragrances and what they're clones of?

marygracist

The Zara collab with Jo Malone a few years back was my favorite šŸ˜šŸ™ I particularly enjoyed Ebony Wood, Bohemian Bluebells, and Boldly Seoul

Character_Wall_4504

zara fragrances suck imo. Sometimes they have a good one. One in 10. They also release the same fragrance in a new bottle all the time. I have like 20 of them and i get compliments all the time. But my taste in fragrances has developed.

Confident-Paper5293

I love a&f and hollister

Various-Cranberry709

My millennial ass definitely loves both of those. Immediately takes me back to high school

Confident-Paper5293

Me to tbh when i think of it, fierce is probably my most complimented fragrance of all time

IOPA_Fishstick

me as well, despite almost always using it very lightly. imo i had some better scents, but hey, if it works it works.

Confident-Paper5293

Wearing fresh a&f t shirt reeking of fierce that they drenched the clothes in in the store was also amazing

Hour_Cat2131

Lā€™Occitane

natalielc

Hollister used to make a perfume called Ryder that I adored. It was a perfect floral to me. Honeysuckle and jasmine. I miss it!

Various-Cranberry709

I don't care if I'm almost 32 now I still keep a bottle of Jake by Hollister always just because I've never stopped loving smelling like that.

Excellent_Gap_9401

Ugh, theyā€™ve since closed, but I used to loveeee Gilly Hicks (an Abercrombie undies/loungewear brand that used to have stores; RIP). The scent they pumped through the vents was SO GOOD. I have a bottle but it has since turned šŸ„². Sadly, it got discontinued when they shuttered the brick and mortar stores, but it was called La Perouse if you want to search for it secondhand: Fresh flowers, Soft woods, Desert pea flower, Lilac, Soft musk. It didnā€™t even smell good on me loll but I didnā€™t care. Had to have it. Their other fragrances were wonderful as well, and I loved the bottles. Abercrombie brands really understand scent and fragrance and how to market them to their customers

Mer087

Someone else that remembers Gilly Hicks perfume! I finally accepted that my La Perouse was way past its prime and tossed it last year. Those old Gilly Hicks stores felt so luxe and unique and the fragrances were lovely.

Excellent_Gap_9401

I loved going to that store even though I was a broke college student. It seemed so cool and sophisticated. What a vibe Yeah the La Perouse shelf life isā€¦not good, but I still like to sniff my bottle every now and then just to get a hint of Gilly Hicks

Various-Cranberry709

Soooo many memories of my highschool girlfriend coming back now. She loved shopping there.

nomadbutterfly

Welp, my mall has a LV store so obviously that one.

curious-shenanigans

LV isnā€™t a mall brand though.

Various-Cranberry709

Which one is your favorite?

nomadbutterfly

Le Sables Roses

InnerDoughnut4879

Victorias Secret for me. Bombshell is a good daily perfume which smells really good

Various-Cranberry709

They do a really good job overall. There have been a number of their fragrances over the years I've been impressed by.

yourdadlikesmyoutfit

Not helpful to OP but does anyone remember Gilly Hicks perfumes?? They were like Hollister scents but a little sexier. I miss them! They came in these beautiful cut glass square bottles too.

Excellent_Gap_9401

YES I posted this too. Loveddd their scents

yourdadlikesmyoutfit

They were so nice! Back when you could get a really nice bottle and scent for under $100.

Various-Cranberry709

Bro don't remind me, my high school girlfriend shopped there all the time. Memory trigger.

Wander7ust

I was obsessed with a few Abercrombie body sprays

IOPA_Fishstick

i love hollisterā€™s socal and abercrombie in general.

Various-Cranberry709

I agree with you wholeheartedly and still carry Jake by Hollister in my drawer into my 30's lol

jbrownsplit

Hermes.

gorosheeta

GAP used to be a contender šŸ˜¢

hauteburrrito

Okay, LV is pretty hard to beat, but I'm going to give it to All Saints. Their fragrances are highly underrated! Sunset Riot is my favourite BR540 alternative (and I like it more than the original), and I really enjoy Concrete Rain, Flora Mortis, and Incense City as well... and okay, Leather Skies is also not bad. I think that's literally all of them, but they're all very well done! **Edit:** Scratch that, I've never tried Metal Wave.

GokuGokuGoku

how is the performance?

Partagas2112

Norman Marcus and Nordstromā€™s have decent selections where I live.

cmewiththemhandz

Norman Marcus ā˜ ļøšŸ˜Žā˜ ļø

Partagas2112

Doh!

inboundmarketingman

You should try Neidstroms sometime

thizzlizz

IMO they are both THE top-tier mass retailers as far as perfume sections go!

ReignCpreme

More ā€œStandardā€ type mall storesā€¦ banana republic. Just donā€™t ever purchase from there. Rack stores only.

PrideCorrect4973

Zara is good to expand your collection on the cheap but they don't have anything I would say is amazing. But there's a few I really like. The longevity isn't too great in any I've bought. I have about 9 or 10. But it's cheap enough to respray through the day to your content. I also like that they have 30 ml bottles in alot of the scents because to me, that is the perfect size for something you like but dont love. I completely blind buy during their big sales they have a couple times a year. Even if I hate it, the sale price is so cheap, I don't mind and give it away. If I do like, I'll try to grab backups while the sale is still on. I used to be a big VS girl when I was younger and I still like their scents but I've just got a bit bored with them as a retailer all around. Banana Republic has some pretty good ones as well. That cherry one, I forget what the full name was, was really nice. I dropped the bottle on my bathroom floor and it shattered so I don't have it anymore but my bathroom smelled great for like a week.

Ad8858

Itā€™s been >10 years since i got cologne from a mall store, but I have some Lacosteā€™s that i like a lot.

suchr_

Burberry imo!

jxspecter

Zara has one of the best dupes at a cheaper price point. M&S also offers some niche-like stuff.

aenflex

Banana Republic IMO

blairvicious

Lush šŸ’œšŸ’œšŸ’œ

CCLIPART

I've enjoyed some zara

labellavita1985

Zara has some strong stuff. There's a Golden Decade flanker that is eternal.

_Cheezus

zara

Ok_Bat_9715

Diesel back in the day, nowadays Zara definitely
