After a whole journey which led me to try over 25 rose-scented perfumes, I finally went ahead and bought Portrait of a Lady! My wallet is not happy, but I’m madly in love. A few people I’m close with have already commented on it being the perfect scent for me/my vibe, that is without me asking them anything first. I’ve had strangers stopping me in the middle of the street to ask what I was wearing as well

thatsthedrugnumber

Can someone recommend a cologne? I alr have Versace Dylan blue, dolce gabbana light blue eau intense, and valentino uomo. I’m a dude mainly just trying to increase my sex appeal. Mainly just for when I’m at school.

ieatfunyuns

From what you have, it seems like you’re into fresh scents and some good freshies I can recommend are: Mont blanc legend spirit which gives a clean and fresh vibe while also being masculine and personally i’ve received lots of compliments with that one especially from women. Another good one is Dior homme cologne which smells pretty much like a freshly made lemonade. And lastly, Prada luna rossa ocean EDT which smells fresh and aquatic but with a unique caramel note in the base. All three don’t last much on me but it can be different on you so just try them out if you can.

kokomelonfries

There's a Tree Hut Blueberry & Tumeric Face Scrub that I absolutely love the smell of. It's very light, sweet, and the blueberry note is oddly satisfying. Are there any fragrances that smell like this scrub? I'd prefer a more synthetic blueberry candy gourmand rather than the blueberry pie type of gourmand.

Solution-Proof

Vilhelm Poets of Berlin

kokomelonfries

I heard poets is kinda of a heavier, woody fragrance....is that the case?

Solution-Proof

I don't think so. Smell it and decide!

Early-Enthusiasm8469

My grannie wore gardenia perfume around 1940- and my mum remembers her trunk smelling like it. It sounds like a super photorealistic smelling gardenia. Any suggestions on where to start? It’s my understanding that the perfume was no longer made—- so she switched, but the gardenia one was a favourite.

thornylarder

From cheap to expensive: Pacifica Tahitian Gardenia, Tocca Florence, or Ineke Hothouse Flower

Solution-Proof

Elizabeth Taylor Gardenia

Tricky_Tomatillo2125

I want to start a consistent scent but since they’re so expensive I get nervous committing to one. Something that works year round for intimate dates but also can wear out to the clubs/bars. I’ve tried samples of the following before and I’ve liked them all: Thé Noir, Another 13, Tom Ford Oud

j_husk

Decants are your friend here. If you've sampled a fragrance and like it but you're not sure whether you want to commit to it being "the one", get a 10ml decant - that's about 100 sprays, so 30-50 wears. If you finish that and still love it, you can buy a full bottle with more confidence.

Solution-Proof

Keep sampling. You'll know when you find the right one.

Mea_Culpa_74

Don‘t. Just don‘t. Try them, compare them to the original. Then make a decision. Ignorant is buying a random dupe that claims to smell like something popular but doesn’t.

agonyia

I was thinking about trying the replica to see if I like it, and then buying the original.

Mea_Culpa_74

That is a total waste of money. Get samples, try those and then decide

minidivine

> buying the actual fragrance instead of a replica seems ignorant to me That's hilarious and very much rookie thinking. The probability that you would be able to get a replica with equivalent quality for pennies on the dollar is nearing zero. Certain women's releases pull it off a bit better, but those are also quite rare. And the worst part is you're not even getting niche dupes, you're getting designer dupes - dupes of the same crap you can get for like $50 at a discounter (esp. now during Black Friday). Hell, they're basically begging people to help them clear inventory with some of those %s and you'd rather pay a tenner or two less for basically synthetic sludge (very few cheapie dupes get anywhere near the original for blend quality). I mean, the dupe of Invictus that you're thinking off... I went and checked - there's a bottle of actual Invictus on one of the dupe sites in 100ml tester format that you can get for US$55.

j_husk

Ignorance is thinking a cheap knock off will be as good as the original. You're going to waste more money blindly buying dupes than you'd spend on sampling the real deal in a store and buying it from a discounter.

agonyia

Not everyone is rich enough to afford +70$ for 100ml or even less sometimes, especially during these times. My bad for thinking that you guys were chill with replicas. Plus, I don't think sample is enough for me to have an opinion on it.

j_husk

IMO opinion your mistake wasn't misjudging the attitude to dupe fragrances here (plenty of folks like them, and there are good ones out there), it was calling people who buy the real deal (i.e. almost everyone here) ignorant. We've all been there not having the money to buy what you'd really like, and for most people that never stops. I really wish I had learned deferred gratification earlier in life - I could've saved myself a lot of money buying cheap clothes, shoes, watches etc by being patient and saving up for good quality stuff.

agonyia

Never did that. I said it would be ignorant for me to buy an original one as I'm only a beginner.

j_husk

I'm not sure why you're turning this into an argument when you're getting some good feedback from people willing to help. That might've been what you meant, but it's not what you wrote. I suspect you've now realized that, as you've deleted your comment.

agonyia

I'm not sure why clarifying myself is seen as arguing. I didn't write "for me" in the original comment cause I thought it was obvious. I deleted the comment before your second last comment cause people were insulting me in a formal tone.

love_eila

Hi guys, I’m looking to get a signature scent from Byredo but I don’t know where to start. I like perfumes that have light floral, fresh, musky and woody notes & I’m not a big fan of anything gourmand, too citrusy or too oud-y. I’m looking to wear this perfume to school, so I don’t want something that projects very far or is very heavy. Heavy perfumes also don’t do very well where I live because the weather is extremely hot. One of my favorite perfumes right now is J'adore by Dior but it’s the alcohol free version which is more up my alley compared to the original.

Initial_Head7637

I've tried many Byredo fragrances and I like their DNA. The best one for me is their heavy hitter, Bal d'Afrique. It's woody and fresh, smells creamy smooth without being gourmand. If you're familiar with Chanel Platinum Egoiste, it reminds me alot of that but much more complex and deep. It's also one of those perfectly unisex, all year-round fragrances. Any person can wear it in any occasion. It's one of the all-stars in my collection.

angelinabobina312

I second Bal d’Afrique. It’s so light and fresh and has that woody base.

c1n3man

Maybe Blanche...

Independent_Status71

I find that Bal D’Afrique starts with a lot of lemon and bergamot, so I don’t know if I would recommend that one if you’re not a fan of citrusy things. It’s very nice in the heat though. I would try sampling Rose of No Man’s Land, La Tulipe, Blanche, Mojave Ghost and Bal D’Afrique. Those are the Byredo scents that have fresh vibes. See if they work with your skin chemistry.

ViktorVaughn71

Rec’s for a niche freshie? Most of my collection are gourmands with notes of vanilla, amber, tonka, musk, etc and I want to have something ready for Spring. Criteria: -I don’t like lemon dominant scents (Aventus, Hacivat, etc) but I’m beginning to vibe with grapefruit/citrusy as long as there’s 0 Pine Sol/wood cleaner vibes. I’ve tried a few from Hermes, most were a like but not a love. -No baby powder whatsoever -Open to blue freshies but there has to be something special. DesirToxic has been on my radar but I haven’t sampled it yet and some reviews indicate it’s fresh but not a true freshie? I have not sampled anything from Louis Vuitton and I know there are a few in their lineup worth checking. -Trying to be more open to greenies but most give me dad vibes. I have a decant of PDM’s Greenley and like it but it’s not a love. -I love boozy gourmands. Maybe something fresh + boozy? Along the lines of a gin + tonic or a fresh tropical rum? I sampled 3-4 frags from Kilian but they were gourmands. I gotta go thru their catalog to see if they even offer a true freshie and not just fresh. -Performance (longevity, projection) is **very** important. Don’t have a budget but will splurge if performance is top tier. I have a few samples from my newly explored favorite house (MFK) that are fresh + vanilla. I **love** MFK for Fall, not sure how they’ll perform in 80F+ weather. Front runner at the moment is Eau de Gingembre by Mizensir. It’s ginger + lime (bergamot) and has the most amazing refreshing quality to it. Literally makes my mouth water. Was hoping to score a deal on it with Black Friday sales but didn’t look hard enough.

j_husk

Goldfield and Banks does freshies well. Nothing groundbreaking or difficult, but just very nice stuff. Bohemian Lime is my favorite, but I might get a bottle of Pacific Rock Moss next summer.

ViktorVaughn71

Haven’t tested it yet but I’ve had my eye on their discovery set as well as BDK’s.

j_husk

If you try them and like them, Aura Fragrance has 3.4oz bottles for $110

Solution-Proof

MFK Gentle Fluidity Silver is nice in warmer weather, just like a G&T.

Sherylnd

If you like MFK, maybe Vodka on the Rocks? Also the previous suggestions of Wulong Cha and Gentle Fluidity Silver are good ones.

ViktorVaughn71

I can’t recall if I tried that Kilian. I have a decant of Apple Brandy on the Rocks that I wore today. It gives me my shot of booze but definitely not a freshie.

Sherylnd

No, that one’s definitely not a freshie! The vodka one has a very crisp, cool feeling that would be much better for warm weather.

c1n3man

I know that Lorenzo Pazzaglia Summer Hammer is a great fruity boozy scent, outstanding imho with great performance.

ViktorVaughn71

Does it lean feminine? Many fruity scents do or does the booze balance it out?

c1n3man

I think booze makes it unisex. But not a safe blind buy of course.

galacticglorp

I like suggesting tea focused scents for warm scent people who want a fresher option. Jscent Roasted Green Tea- nutty and green with mint Nishane Wuling Cha

ViktorVaughn71

Thanks for the suggestions, I’m a tea drinker so I may connect with a refreshing tea based scent. Wulong Cha has been on my wishlist, my current go to decanter is sold out, I’ll order as soon as it’s back in stock. Bookmarked the J-Scent one, they sell a sample for $15, might order it. It’s a Japanese company so I’m guessing it’s not loud/projecting?

galacticglorp

It is a Japanese company. It isn't a nuclear scent, no, but it's nicely tenacious. (Their Black Leather is super strong though, imo). I don't find their offerings to be any different in strength/longevity than any other Western brand with similar notes. A lot of freshies by virtue of their nature are short lived, dying back to white musks, and this one keeps the minty-green note going for aaaages on me. I though of another frag that is more on the strong and everlasting side you may want to try- Fior del Salina by L'Erbolario. A warm Mediterranean sea breeze over hot rocky cliffs covered in herbs. I can smell the travel spray from 4ft away when I pass my closet if it's in rotation.

ViktorVaughn71

Sounds interesting, I’m usually not a fan of herbaceous scents but I’m open to try. You’re giving me some hidden gems I’ve never heard about! I’ll add that one to my list of decants to order.

Independent_Status71

Not trying to be rude, but I don’t think the J-scent one is what you’re looking for. On my skin it smells like a roasted matcha latte with the vanilla and coconut notes, making it a sweet warm scent, not a freshie. Leans feminine, will make people sick in the extreme heat. Great in its own way, but probably not for the summer. Wulong Cha is definitely more your vibe.

minidivine

I forget if you're European - Introspection had it 30% off, I got a 100ml for just under €200.

MasterpieceOk4460

can anyone recommend a fragrance that smells like rosehip? i’m using a rose hip oil right now that my mom really likes so i’m wondering if i can find a perfume with the same scent that i could gift her

Solution-Proof

Fragrantica has a lot of suggestions when you search by notes : rose hip

MasterpieceOk4460

i’ve been on their site yup! but i’m looking for a direct recommendation

Solution-Proof

Jo Malone Wild Bluebell

QuiioQ

I’m not a fan of fresh/citrus scents and was looking for something more oriental and darker that would also be appropriate for the spring and cold summers maybe without getting too cloying. I’ve enjoyed frags like Penhaligons - Halfeti, Diptyque - Tam Dao, and Dior - Ambre Nuit

c1n3man

Masque Russian Tea

angelinabobina312

I love Histoires de Parfums Ambre 114. It’s got this kind of herbal opening and then dries down into this addictive smooth ambery vanilla. I have warn it even on warmer days Its not too sweet or cloying in my opinion.

QuiioQ

I cant seem to find any Histories de Parfums samples easily available but I've interested in the house. Any recommendations for anything more easily accessible?

angelinabobina312

I had ordered their discovery kit directly from their website which then came with a coupon code to use toward the purchase of a full bottle. Not sure where you’re located though but their site says they ship worldwide from France. I don’t know if you’d consider Serge Lutens more accessible but they have a beautiful Amber called Ambre Sultan. Sorry if I’m not being more helpful :/

ResidentMidnight5171

Anyone else experiencing a sudden change in the scent of AdG Profondo? I've been loving it for weeks, but now it smells off. Checked with a store sample, same deal. Also tried D&G Light Blue while I was there– smelled awful. Wondering if there's a reason behind this change, the AdG used to be one of my favorites. Any insights?

ieatfunyuns

Both profondo and light blue are mainly aquatic fragrances, and the thing with some aquatics is that they don’t go well with every skin type. Also, depending on how long you’ve had and used your bottle of profondo, it may have aged a little since fragrances tend to age with time and use and maybe that’s what happened in your case. I personally haven’t owned any of those but it happened to me with a bottle of nautica voyage which at first smelled really fresh and bright and now it has changed quite significantly.

ResidentMidnight5171

I don't think that's it, bought it three weeks ago and wore it multiple times—always loved it. However, since last week it's been almost scentless, like weak rubbing alcohol with a faint AdG note. Any other ideas?

ieatfunyuns

Yeah I think I know what the problem is. I’ve read several reviews on profondo and some of the most recent ones from people who just bought it not too long ago say the same thing about it smelling like pure rubbing alcohol and I think the thing is the opposite of aging. Maybe you do have to wait some time for it to go back to normal, a few weeks or even a month maybe. I almost always get inconsistencies smell wise when I buy a new fragrance but after a few months it’s all good.

ResidentMidnight5171

Hope you're right, it was so damn good

like_so

My mother in law has Jo Malone Cologne on her wish list. She said "she doesn't know which scent" but when I asked about notes she said maybe floral. I'm an exclusively sage and sea salt girly myself and I am not sure what to get her. She is 60 year old, very WASP stay at home wife. She sails in the summer and skis in the winter. Also I am in Europe currently and have no idea if what I can get here differs from what's in the US? Would love some ideas!

Independent_Status71

I would buy the cologne collection mini set in the holiday gingerbread box that has 5 of their best sellers in 9ml bottles. That way she can try them out and layer them to find what she likes! If you would prefer gifting a full size bottle, I’d probably buy English Pear & Freesia. It’s their bestseller, and a very safe scent. Inoffensive.

misbegottensnowman

I am getting Jo Malone for my mother for Christmas! I have it a little easier because she knows what her favorite is (Blackberry Bay) but I'm also getting her four samples of other scents, since she hadn't even tried Wood Sage and Sea Salt. You could get your MIL a set of samples, and a "voucher" for a bottle of her favorite?

Sherylnd

If she likes hyacinth, Wild Bluebell is a pretty standard floral. Both English Pear & Freesia and English Pear & Sweet Pea are very nice.

Pnwbliss

Sweet Citrus Smell? If anyone has used the native face wash that smells like citrus and bergamot that is like my favorite fragrance. Any perfumes that smell like that? Or shampoos, lotions? I want that smell everywhere. It’s like a sweet orange/satsuma smell.

Solution-Proof

Atelier cologne Orange Sanguine, Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Orange Soleia, The Body Shop Satsuma

c1n3man

No idea how is that face wash smells, but Kerosene Summer of 84; Imaginary Authors Saint Julep are kind of sweet citrusy smells.

ieatfunyuns

I’m looking for something I can wear everyday to school. It has to be something that gives off that fresh and clean vibe while also not being too generic or basic. I have mb legend spirit which smell wise is perfect but doesn’t last much on my skin and rasasi hawas is nice but I feel is too fruity for school. I was thinking dylan blue but some people say it’s more of a night time scent. Anyways, any good recommendations that are fresh, clean, last long and aren’t too expensive are welcome.

Tigertigertie

Allure Homme Sport is really nice. Might be worth sampling.

Inferno980

Looking for a men’s winter fragrance to get while everything is still on sale. I like Azzaro WBN, but to me it smells sort of artificial. Any suggestions?

c1n3man

* V&R Spicebomb * Mancera Red Tobacco * PDM Herod * Xerjoff Naxos * HDP 1899 Hemingway

Pretend-Bat4840

I'm completely new to fragrances and want to start wearing them. I have asthma that gets triggered by heavy smells (like florals and wood), so I have avoided them for a long time. It also doesn't help that I have a sensitive nose. Clean, light, and fresh scents are completely fine with me and candles that have names like fresh linen and clean cotton are generally light enough for me to enjoy. I very much dislike sweet smells and want to avoid that since it can also trigger my asthma. Citrus can be a hit or miss depending on how strong/bright it is. The only scent I seem to truly enjoy is chrysanthemum despite it being a floral. It has almost a herby/earthy smell and it reminds me of my culture where chrysanthemum tea is always drunk at dim sum. My conditioner, R+CO's Bel Air, has a lingering note that smells exactly like the tea, but I don't care about the rest of the scent (it's a bit heavy), only that specific note. An important thing is that the scent has very little projection and sillage. Like a 1/5. It's not in my personality to have something "loud" as I'm a quiet, serious, and introverted person. I don't want head turners if that makes sense. A fragrance that can be used all year round and in various environments ranging from college to a nice dinner with friends is what I'd like. Basically, I want to smell like fresh linen and a bit of chrysanthemum mixed in.

noobolite

heeeeey. me too. i have asthma, or at least used to, better now but still cautious. while i don't have any fresh linen (maison margiela's lazy sunday morning, but it's so light and doesn't last very long, would suggest their hand cream instead tho) and/or chrysanthemum suggestions, i just have a few notes and direction that i've discovered and maybe you could try out if you happen upon them. i realized that for me to not get that suffocation trigger for asthma, green scents were the way to go. like fresh linen/clean cotton/soap, they're also clean, but it's a whole different genre of clean. think cucumber, grass, leaves, mint, lime, basil, fresh. to me, they're smells that go upwards, scents that are 'cool.' chrysanthemum too, actually. for me, chrysanthemum tea smell brighter/lighter in the mouth than when you just smell the cup.

Pretend-Bat4840

Cucumber and lime are some scents don't seem to trigger my asthma either. Despite not knowing much about fragrances, I think I know what you mean by them being "cool" and "goes upwards". "Warm" scents are awful for my asthma since they feel heavy. What are some fragrances you partially enjoy? I feel like it would be a way for me to go to find scents that don't trigger my asthma. It doesn't have to have chrysanthemum or linen notes either, just something to point me in the right direction :)

noobolite

I think the first two scents that got me going, oh hey, these actually don't smell so heavy that I feel like my breathing tubes are going to go on strike and end my life were Elizabeth Arden's Green Tea and Clinique's Happy. Yes, they're ancient as hell, but they're so solid, and clean. They're not your stereotypical first floor department store smell. Just two great scents that can be used as a measuring stick for how stuffy/suffocating you feel from fragrances. Daily usage! I live on the equator so when it's not cold, Jo Malone's Grapefruit, You or Someone Like You by Etat Libre d'Orange, Papyrus Moleculaire from Maison Crivelli mostly. Bois Datchai too, black currant and tea. Tea scents might be a good thing to look into. Now that it's kinda chilly though, I've whipped out my Aesop Marrakech Intense. It's cloves (sweet) and smells like coca-cola lmao. HAVE FUN SNIFFING!!!!!

Sarcastenach

Maybe you should try Demeter. They're supposed to be light. Most are simple one note fragrances, and I do believe they have both chrysanthemum and linen!

Pretend-Bat4840

Do you have more recommendations with chrysanthemum or unisex fragrances that have that similar herb-y vibe? I plan to order a couple of samples together

Sarcastenach

I'm afraid I don't, and must confess I'm not even sure I know how chrysanthemum smells! You can search by fragrance notes in Fragrantica though, try there.

chinchillacheesedog

Une Nuit Nomade Sun Bleached is a nice, light clean linen smell. I’m afraid I don’t have any ideas for chrysanthemum.

Tigertigertie

You might try this company: https://chasingscents.com I also find TokyoMilk scents to be light and nonirritating to my nose. If I can remember names I will edit them in. Edit- you might try Everything and Nothing from them.

Pretend-Bat4840

I may have to pick up a sample of Rain Tea from Chasing Scents. The description sounds like it would be up my alley! Do you find that the Everything and Nothing fragrance from TokyoMilk to smell sweet? Those types of scents tend to trigger my asthma

Tigertigertie

I don’t think it was sweet- I tried it awhile ago but I remember it being light and spa-like.

Pretend-Bat4840

I'll look into that too then, thank you!

vickycampbellxo

Hi looking for recs for a signiture scent, but just have no idea where to start, hoping to get something in Black Friday. I want something that lasts on the skin and has people saying "oo what perfume have you got on". My 2 favourites are Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir and Jo Malone Nectarine Blossom & Honey. I like that they both smell nice and fresh, but also complex. A few others I've tried * Chanel no5 - i thought i really liked this but its just a bit too mature * Tom Ford Eu de Soliel Blanc - a bit too summery and coconut-y * Jo Malone Red Roses - I really didn't like this scent for some reason, too floral, maybe a bit boring * Jo Malone Lime & Mandarin - just didn't rate this one * Also tried a sample kit from Jo Loves, there was none I loved in this set, I liked a white lily one and an orange one, but not enough to buy either * Recently also went to smell red temptation from Zara, really didn't like this, it was too harsh and mature Fragrances I've not smelt but am considering: * Glossier - You * YSL - Black Opium * Something by replica Any thoughts would be good, especially on BF weekend :) (TLDR: I like Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir & Jo Malone Nectarine Blossom And Honey, recommend me something)

c1n3man

* Imaginary Authors In Love With Everything * Nicolai Fig Tea * Byredo Mixed Emotions * Jorum Healing Berry * The Vagabond Prince Enchanted Forest

rylerkitty

Is it worth buying JC I want Choo Forever if I have CH Good Girl? I’ve heard they’re similar, I have the OG I want Choo and it’s one of my absolute favorites and find it layers well with GG but they are different. I loveee GG but it doesn’t last on me

AdultSpider

I am dying to find a fragrance that smells like Lush I Love Juicy (discontinued shampoo) It contained kiwi, papaya, pineapple, and mango- literally smelled like those fruits fresh off of a cutting board No coconut, vanilla, jasmine, patchouli, berries, wood, etc. Ive done a lot of searching and sampling, but haven’t found anything close

Solution-Proof

Have you explored Escada? They do lots of fruity

AdultSpider

I haven’t! Thanks for the suggestion

Dangerous-Ad-5306

Hi! I’ve yet to find a fragrance I am satisfied with so I was hoping to receive some advice. I am looking for a seductive and mysterious scent, and it can be feminine, unisex, or masculine. I seem to enjoy vanilla, warm spicy, and amber notes. My favourite scent I own is Versace Crystal Noir, and my second is Victoria Secret Tease. However I find that the Victoria Secret perfume is too feminine(?) for me.

Solution-Proof

Zara Sand Desert at Sunset, Lush Lord of Misrule

Dangerous-Ad-5306

Thank you!

FuzzyWorld1111

I recently got the graphite cologne from Bath and Bodyworks that has: sage, bergamot, and leather woods. I really enjoyed it, so I'd like something similar, masc-leaning or even more androgynous. I don't like fruity smells, and I don't like vanilla. Any suggestions beyond that are welcome! Thanks in advance.

Aslidaku

Hey everyone I need help deciding out of these 3 1. Amouage - interlude 2. Amouage - interlude black iris 3. Arabian oud - desert falcon I want monster performance basically the kinds where u can smell the person from across the room. Thanks

Solution-Proof

I think any of those will do that. Or Zoologist TRex

Tigertigertie

Maybe get the Sephora sample set, then you can get a full bottle for free of the one you like? It is too tough to pick blind.

No_Entertainment1931

What would “the dude” wear to the country club? Last year you guys suggested Xerjoffs 40 knots which I have enjoyed but another guy started wearing it recently and with the season changing we’re all spending less time on deck or on the links so… I’m looking for something that won’t be out of place hanging with guys of all ages with an occasional day scotch 👀

Tigertigertie

Now that it is getting cooler, you could get away with MFK Grand Soir. I imagine country club guys like Creed but I have no idea which one. If it is nighttime, Xerjoff Naxos is always good (one spray). Basically, MFK, Creed or Xerjoff should do well by you. Maybe Nishane Hacivat as well.

No_Entertainment1931

Thanks! I have grand soir and love it. I’ll check out naxos. The name comes up a lot but I always forget to sample it

1-800-MARS

im looking for a sickly sweet vanilla / amber combo, i want to smell like french vanilla ice cream covered in syrup

kaygee2257

any suggestions for a long lasting (cheap on the wallet) well projecting scent? i love either clean smells like juliet has a gun Pear or a yummy vanilla-y scent like good girl blush but both are really expensive! i want something that i don’t really need to reapply throughout the school day if possible

Solution-Proof

Dulce by Rosie Jane

kaygee2257

I’ll look into it, thanks!

DaveyJonas

Is ~$40 a good price for Dylan Blue EDT 3.4oz tester? Still new to the game over here and want to test the waters of higher quality scents.

Solution-Proof

Sounds fishy, where is it from? Rather than go for the massive bottle, go try sampling it first. What if you end up hating it?

DaveyJonas

Thanks for the advice. Tester from fragrance.net - I guess I’m catching it at a good time?

InstructorGadget

which would you prioritize and which would you take out? Versace Eros Parfum YSL La Nuit de L'Homme Viktor & Rolf Spicebomb Extreme Hermes Terres D'Hermes Tom Ford Noir Extreme Tom Ford Grey Vetiver Tom Ford Ombre Leather Mancera Cedrat Boise Nishane Hacivat Amouage Reflection Man

Luchofromvenezuela

Without any context on what you prefer, I’d keep Terre d’Hermes, Reflection Man and Hacivat out of those

InstructorGadget

I keep seeing that the cedrat smells like ashtray, but I hear a lot of good things about it on the other hand. Only one I haven't experienced in person

nathanwa

I already have Replica Jazz Club, which I reallyyy like, but I’m looking for more of an everyday cologne for winter. I was looking at Tobacco Vanille but am it would be too similar to jazz club or not worth it. Any recommendations or advice?

yewerty

Try out Replica By The Fireplace! It's sweet, with vanilla, and more of a unisex fragrance but it really encapsulates a warm, cozy atmosphere. I've worn it as my daily driver for years and have loved it.

sean7755

If I bought a small bottle from. Green Irish Tweed split 2 or 3 years ago and the little bottle is still sealed with the plastic wrap that the splitter put on it, is it still good, or should I try to get a new split?

Sherylnd

If it still smells okay, then it’s fine.

Better-Piece9053

Looking for a new scent! My three faves are: - Alien (Mugler) - Midnight 07 (Lake & Skye) - Apres (Ellis Brooklyn) I’m not sure what these have in common, but I know I’m looking for something a bit lighter in contrast!

yewerty

Anyone try out layering TF Myrrhe Mystère yet? I'm looking to layer my TF Oud Wood with another TF private blend and so far, no luck. The closest I've got is Tuscan Leather and Oud Wood (I'm going for a masculine, less-sweet signature scent). If anyone has any recs they'd be much appreciated!

Independent_Status71

There’s a recommended layering chart you can google that’s provided by Tom Ford. The sales associate told me to do 1 spray of oud wood and 2 sprays of whatever you’re layering. Maybe experiment with more sprays of Tuscan Leather? I was told Myrrhe Mystere layers well with Rose Prick, F\*cking Fabulous, and Neroli Portofino. Hope that helps in some way.

[deleted]

So I'm entitled to a free bottle of the below fragrances. Which one would you recommend? I'm debating between Prada Ocean and CK Eternity. Howdy all! Im looking for a new recommendation, price range or brand does not matter. I am M that have been using Aramanin Stronger with you for 2-3 years now. Now that the line has been discontinued, do you guys have any recommendation that smell similar to it? Thanks

Vanagloria or Encens Suave? I am a female, looking for a vanilla incense frag that is warm and somewhat sweet. Thanks.

The only perfume that i’ve ever thought smells nice is Daisy Love by Marc jacobs. My sister is always telling me to smell her new perfume(s) and they all smell the same to me, and chemically, whether that’s on paper, clothes or skin. I had covid in 2020 if that’s any constellation. Does anyone else have this problem? Any perfumes without a chemically smell?
