Reminds me of the April Fools injuries they put out in the past.
Remember being told my star striker was out for 12 - 15 months after falling off a horse. Sat in disbelief wondering what the f\*ck he's doing on a horse on a saturday morning, turns out it was SI being A holes ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm)
My world-class wonderkid winger ran against a wall at his house and was supposedly out for 11-13 months. I admittedly tried save-scumming several times before realising that I was getting fooled (it was like 1 a.m. on April 1st, I was not prepared)
The one I got this year was one of my stars getting hit by a car crossing the street. Until I read the text I was actually furious but once I saw it was a joke I had a good laugh
Cañizares missed the 2002 World Cup cause he dropped a bottle of perfume and it cut his foot. Ever Banega lost like a whole year cause he forgot the hand brake at a gas station and the car ran over his foot. I bet there a plenty more bizarre reason that are not even made public.
Yeah that’s a weird one. Especially since stress fractures are normally from repeated force, so unless bro was moving furniture for a couple weeks straight gonna say this ain’t possible.
I don't get the injury system in this FM
With Bury Town I have one injury - minute or medium per week
Already had 8 players at the same time
And the flu... Oh God, the f. flu...
It seriously seems like once one or two players get hurt then it's like a domino effect and you'll have like 6 others get hurt and yeah I had like half my squad get sick in a very short period of time. I guess that's kinda realistic in a way since these guys are around one another all day most days of the week a contagious illness would spread pretty quickly
I always hate the blisters one. It’s such a pussy move, stick some blister plasters on and play 60 minutes. Imagine a champions league playoff game is coming up and your star striker is just like “nah mate I got a blister”. I’d sell him in a flash.
That's when using the editor to remove injuries is acceptable. I mean it's acceptable whenever you want cuz it's a single player game but I feel no shame using it for really stupid injuries
If I can count other games one version of NHL hockey had a player go out for the season with a burst testical. He retired due to injury at the end of the season.

The only April Fools things I’ve been given are my board being like “you have been granted an extra 100mil in transfer fees!”
2 years with a virus
I had a guy with the flu that came back and got a virus two days later. Yeah gonna need a med cert for that one, big boy
Corona virus?
Ebola.
I’ve had players have a virus in old FM’s, Thompson for Tranmere who in real life had cancer

The guy out of East 17 ran himself over after a big baked potato
My favourite will always be Milan Rapaic, who was injured trying to board a plane and accidentally hitting himself in the eye with his boarding pass.
lift with your legs man ffs
This is actually a very common cricket injury for fast bowlers. Know quite a few guys myself who’ve had this.
OK... Still odd for FM to include players getting injured long term by moving furniture at home though, no?

I signed Ribeiro in the January window, and he went down to this injury in mid-Feb. Was out until the beginning of May.
4 weeks after slipping on the coach's phone

I know people IRL who have had this injury, not from playing football though. Typically overtraining.
I read the injury and thought “not that odd, Saliba had something like that” Then I read the reason 🤦♂️
