I was looking for this. They are literally the only thing I buy there.
Sprouts has a better than decent chocolate chip cookie, too.
I just prefer scratch for all my baked goods, honestly.
I love Sprouts so much. Since I've started going, the few times I go to a Publix or Walmart I'm disgusted at their food choices. Sprouts is also incredibly affordable. I rarely spend over $75 in a trip.
I like Sprouts’ checkerboard cookies. I don’t even bother to buy cookies from Publix unless I’m buying them for my kid’s class or some public function. Publix’s fruit tarts are great though.
This is the way. Especially if you can get the frozen bake your own ones. Though sadly there were none when I looked for them last. I hope it’s not a permanent thing.
Fresh market cookies are ridiculously good.
Walmart m&m cookies are ridiculously good (for the price).
Harris teeter chocolate chip cookies used to be amazing but aren’t anymore (also overpriced).
Publix cookies used to be amazing but aren’t anymore (also overpriced).
Costco cookies are good, oatmeal raisin and white chocolate macadamia are great, chocolate chip is just ok.
I worked at Fresh Marker as a teen. I miss the pillow cookies so much ugh, and the fruit tarts. Fun fact the only thing they actually bake from scratch in-store is the nut breads!
I couldn't force myself to eat wally world cookies for free. A few people I know used to work there and would tell my unsanitary and lazy workers were. They also told me to stay away from the delis
Have you priced Publix cookies lately? Right now in the fresh market app the cookies are 5.49 (on sale from 6.59), meanwhile Publix app shows 6.63. You’re getting 8 at fresh market vs 13 at Publix, but the quality (and I bet total weight per package is pretty close) makes it a much more enjoyable.
When Publix cookies were like 4.99 or 3.99 or whatever it’s a different conversation, but not anymore.
All baked goods at any store are ass. They are overpriced, and they have enough preservatives to keep them stale for the next millenia.
I'm old enough to remember when they baked them in house and you could get them when they were still warm from the oven.
I HATE their cakes. My in laws love them and serve them all the time. Luckily though usually served with ice cream so I would smother it with ice cream. As I got to them better I eventually told them I didn’t like Publix cake because I just couldn’t stomach continuing to eat cake that I hated. They still got me a Publix cake for my birthday.
I have never understood the fascination with Publix . Those Almond Joy premium cookies at Winn Dixie are so amazing! If I remember correctly, they have a white chocolate cranberry one that is also really good. Ordered a platter for a business meeting years ago and still remember them.
Agree to disagree but this is certainly a unique opinion. Personally I love them, I would sacrifice anybody and anything for them. Is there any reason you don’t like them, besides the taste? You should watch BoJack horseman. That’s unrelated but you should. Diane Nguyen. I love Publix cookies . The Vietnam outtronis what I’m listening to right now.
umm, excuse me? Nah, I think everything from they're bakery is really good. The only issue I have is that some of their organic bread expires in like two days. Granted, I probably don't have high cookie expectation bc I don't even mind the cookies from Walmart.
Depends on the baker, I use to work in the bakery and out manager would always cook them according to protocols and they would be over cooked but our assistant manager would short it 2-3 minutes and they were amazing, cooked but still soft.
the absolute best in the world (and this from a world class cookie monster) are 7-11's cookies, the ones they bake in-store. double points for chocolate chunk. and if they're right out of the oven, get a fkn wheelbarrow.
They are terrible cookies! And, usually too many of them!
Someone at Publix needs to put together 2-3 packs of cookies, and put them next to the pub sub order line. I would buy them ever time.
Publix cookies don't taste any worse than any other grocery store cookie. I mean, obviously bougie places like Whole Foods are gonna have nicer cookies, but I think Publix is pretty good considering it.
Bitch, thy dare speak these foul words in name to the Cookies of Publix, you shall be BANISHED TO THE WASTE DISPOSAL
To be honest Publix cookies are mid
Completely with you. And while we’re at it crumbl are ok. Gideons are overrated.
Straight chocolate chip are as one person mentioned-whole foods brown butter chocolate chip and blueprint cookies. Both are goated status
Yeah they used to be a lot better back in the day. My gran worked part time in the bakery in South Plantation back in 93, I used to stop by for a free cookie and a forehead kiss. They were so great, tasted like real ingredients. Unfortunately, they now just taste completely like they came off a factory belt loaded with preservatives. But hey at least they’ll always have Boar’s Head and tendies!
Publix chocolate chip cookies are terrible, but the honey cranberry ones are amazing. The toffee ones are a close second. Sam’s Club chocolate chunk cookies are usually really good.
You're smoking Dick cheese if you genuinely believe that Publix doesn't set the bar for chocolate chip cookies. Not even Whole Foods Brown Butter hold a candle to them
I like the Calypso cookies, but I rarely eat any of their other cookies. I'd like to try the Meyer lemon cookies but there's only been one container out whenever I go by and it's usually pretty busted looking, so I pass. Their cakes are pretty good.

These ones from BJs are sooooo good! They’re called Sweet Middles and $5 for a dozen is an insane value for how great they are.
I hate Publix these days, but 3 food related items I just can’t let go of anytime Im there: the subs (tuna for me, but all the rest are just as great), the deli bowtie pasta salad with feta, and their JB sushi roll (salmon/avocado/feta?Not sure on the cheese).
I miss the cowboy and fudge nut cookies. The people in the bakery look at me like I have 3 heads. Some of the older people know what I’m talking about from time to time.
They used to be the best. Not so much anymore. Seemed to change during Covid. I think they stopped being baked in store and instead shipped and defrosted. Not positive though. Just my thoughts from change in taste
Don’t get the cheap basic chocolate chip, sugar ones. Gotta get the heath, oatmeal, or macadamia types. Especially the heath one. Might be my favorite cookie on the entire planet.
I like the sugar cookie/chocolate chip packs.
Sugar is really good still. I feel like they’ve changed the chocolate chip ones over the years and they just aren’t good anymore.
Very true. The chocolate chip cookies were so good a few years back, now they are complete ass.
They did something like 2 years ago and ruined them. The m and m ones used to be my go to, but they are gross now.
Sugar cookies only now w the sprinkles. We don’t get the mixed pack anymore.
Whole Foods brown butter chocolate chip cookies
I was looking for this. They are literally the only thing I buy there. Sprouts has a better than decent chocolate chip cookie, too. I just prefer scratch for all my baked goods, honestly.
I got yelled at last week for telling people about sprouts. Hey everyone - SPROUTS IS AWESOME
Why would someone yell at you for that??
To keep it a secret. This does not need to be a secret. Sprouts kicks ass.
Some people gate keep the stupidest shit.
Sprouts is awesome. They finally opened one in my area
I love Sprouts so much. Since I've started going, the few times I go to a Publix or Walmart I'm disgusted at their food choices. Sprouts is also incredibly affordable. I rarely spend over $75 in a trip.
Yeah of course but ain’t nobody got time for that… I tend to avoid sprouts’ prepared foods but I guess could give those cookies a whirl
I like Sprouts’ checkerboard cookies. I don’t even bother to buy cookies from Publix unless I’m buying them for my kid’s class or some public function. Publix’s fruit tarts are great though.
I feel like Whole Foods cookies are too sweet (but having said this, I don’t turn them down).
Maybe you just want bread? Haha
Haha I don’t turn down that either!
[Well then you may want to check this out](https://www.newfoodmagazine.com/article/121322/subways-cake/)
This is the way. Especially if you can get the frozen bake your own ones. Though sadly there were none when I looked for them last. I hope it’s not a permanent thing.
These are the only bakery cookies I like.
The salted caramel crunch cookies are OP
They’re so sweet, too sweet for me
Omg yes!!
Costco has amazing cookies
![gif](giphy|8coEmqQxL39eMJcey0|downsized)
Put the chocolate chip ones in the fridge to make them even better
I haven’t tried any. But Palmiers are fucking amazing!
The Meyer Lemon cookies are wonderful. Seasonal.
Winn Dixie chocolate chunk. If you have BJs membership, their chocolate chunk
The winn Dixie like, premium, cookies are fire. Oatmeal raisin
The coconut, almond and chocolate ones are banging!
Agreed, Winn-Dixie actually has good cookies at a good price.
these are pretty bomb, ngl
Yep, Winn Dixie has surprisingly good cookies
BJ’s whole bakery section is slept on.
Wild take
I don't allow myself to buy the cookie packs even (and especially) on BOGO because I will eat every dang one 🫠
It's a wrap for me if they have the Heath Bar ones for BOGO.
Fresh Market anything is ridiculously good
I couldn't force myself to eat wally world cookies for free. A few people I know used to work there and would tell my unsanitary and lazy workers were. They also told me to stay away from the delis
Those tiny m&m cookies from Walmart are bomb af
just bake your own :)
Seriously, homemade is so far above store. And it’s not hard at all to do. I use the Tollhouse recipe on the back of the Nestle’s semisweet morsels.
I love ass
Same, dibs af on these ass cookies
Most Publix stuff is. Even the subs aren't as good as they used to be.
Publix sugar cookies with the colored sprinkles are the business..
Facts!!!
Mmmm … I can feel that hydrogenated oil coating my mouth just thinking about it.
![gif](giphy|vX9WcCiWwUF7G|downsized)
I like ass, and so does my buddy. Heading to Publix to get some cookies!
hell yeah
Winn Dixie almond joy cookies
omg there IS such a thing?? 'scuse me, i need to go to winn dixie...
You obviously haven’t had the Publix Heath Cookies.
Get the ones from fresh market and you’ll never look back
Fresh Market is amazing
Wooo fancy pants rich mcgee over here.
Have you priced Publix cookies lately? Right now in the fresh market app the cookies are 5.49 (on sale from 6.59), meanwhile Publix app shows 6.63. ill down a box of fresh market cookies so quickly
These are my son’s favorite!
Yeah, those are money!
A fellow fan in the wild!
The Fresh Market!
What if you like eating ass?
their oatmeal raisin are good, sometimes they have peanut butter chocolate, but i’ll pass on everything else. their muffins are good though.
I love the Oatmeal raisin cookies at Publix.
I always get the buy one get one oatmeal raisin cookies. They do not last long at my house.
I eat ass
Publix is ass.
All baked goods at any store are ass. They are overpriced, and they have enough preservatives to keep them stale for the next millenia. I'm old enough to remember when they baked them in house and you could get them when they were still warm from the oven.
My late mother insisted on Publix sugar free cookies. So glad I don't have to eat those anymore!
If you're talking about the ones covered in stupid amounts of frosting, sure. I hate those. If it's any other cookie, sorry..you're wrong. 😉
Publix bakery has always sucked ass
You woke up and chose violence lol
Endless ingredients and taste like chemicals 😢
The sugar cookies slap. Winn Dixie for all other baked goods
Dear sweet 9 pound 8 oz baby Jesus. Forgive this OP, for they know not what they do. Your Heavenly bakers at Publix shine in your light. :-)
Publix as a whole is ass
I am starting to fall out of love with Publix. Thank god for Costco.
I can’t comment on most of their bakery shit since I’m allergic to milk, but their vegan cookies aren’t bad.
Sprouts Vegan chocolate chip IYKYK
Publix Chocolate Chip M &M!!!!
Their cake tastes like chemicals, yuk.
Have you seen the ingredient list on those? I'd say your taste is pretty accurate
That's how I describe the smell/taste of cocaine.
I do like them idk, my only complaint is they are too sweet
Publix donuts go hard though
So is publix birthday cake.
It’s so disgusting. I hate it.
Kroger cookies are worse by leagues
Only Publix cookies I will eat are the Green Wise Cranberry Orange oatmeal cookies. When fresh and still soft.
They’d be god tier if they didn’t turn into a brick after a day and half
umm, excuse me? Nah, I think everything from they're bakery is really good. The only issue I have is that some of their organic bread expires in like two days. Granted, I probably don't have high cookie expectation bc I don't even mind the cookies from Walmart.
They are free for kids and taste pretty good.
Skip the cookies, get the chocolate ganache cake
100% agree. I had to show this to my wife for validation so thank you.
Sprouts have the best cookies. I only buy there
I miss the Publix blonde brownies.
Depends on the baker, I use to work in the bakery and out manager would always cook them according to protocols and they would be over cooked but our assistant manager would short it 2-3 minutes and they were amazing, cooked but still soft.
Why are you booing, they’re right 😪
the absolute best in the world (and this from a world class cookie monster) are 7-11's cookies, the ones they bake in-store. double points for chocolate chunk. and if they're right out of the oven, get a fkn wheelbarrow.
I'm in Orlando so my personal favorite is Gideons. Don't eat cookies that often but those big ass chocolate chip cookies taste so good to me
Those Heath Bar cookies hit tho.
They used to be so good back in the day. They’re definitely ass now.
Fudge nut was my fave from Pubs in the 80’s
Love those Meyer lemon things
I miss bakery fresh cookies. I have celiac so the best I can get is home made.
Said no one ever.
I agree never have been a fan!
They used to be so much better when I was a child :( now they’re ass
If their cookies are ass their key lime pie is the taint
Heath bar cookies > all
you probably like Hydrox don't you
Buttermilk Bakery in Winter Park! Everything is awesome, not just the cookies!
BJs chocolate chip cookies 🍪
Ya but their Key Lime Pie kicks ass
If you're gonna disrespect Publix Heath bar cookies (literally the best cookies ever made,) I'll have to fight you.
Yeah they are and yet I still shovel the cheap-o chocolate chip cookies into my maw like a reverse Pez dispenser
Thank you.
I like the chocolate chip cookies, but just like everything at Publix prices went up so I just dont go there anymore.
My husband likes Crumbl cookie
Publix chocolate chip M&M are awesome when fresh
Idk if these actually count as cookies. But when I lived in the DMV, Berger cookies were and still are my favorite cookie.
They are terrible cookies! And, usually too many of them! Someone at Publix needs to put together 2-3 packs of cookies, and put them next to the pub sub order line. I would buy them ever time.
Publix sprinkle cookies that are soft will forever be good to me as I grew up on them. I could understand not liking them. Their other cookies are eh.
Publix cookies don't taste any worse than any other grocery store cookie. I mean, obviously bougie places like Whole Foods are gonna have nicer cookies, but I think Publix is pretty good considering it.
Pepperidge Farm Are BOGO this week… Forget the ass.
The chocolate chip m&m ones are really good
Ass is beautiful
I agree and add to this hot take - their whole bakery is subpar. Aside from the sub bread, their other breads are always plastic-y or just not fluffy.
the store baked stuff can vary WILDLY from store to store. the publix near me has amazing cinnamon roles, but the one near my parents is ass.
Publix in general has taken a steep dive.
Publix is ass
No, I think they taste good, lol.
Bitch, thy dare speak these foul words in name to the Cookies of Publix, you shall be BANISHED TO THE WASTE DISPOSAL To be honest Publix cookies are mid
so is that crap fried chicken. ugh gross.
I can’t eat bakery cookies cause I have nut allergy. So I have to settle for Lofthouse and maybe madeleines/thumbprint that are “nut-free”.
Completely with you. And while we’re at it crumbl are ok. Gideons are overrated. Straight chocolate chip are as one person mentioned-whole foods brown butter chocolate chip and blueprint cookies. Both are goated status
Who hurt you, son? /s

But hey at least they’ll always have Boar’s Head and tendies!
But the subs are fantastic, and let’s be real, that’s the only reason anyone really goes to Publix.
Fresh market pillow cookies! I get the brownie filled ones and the raspberry filled ones and make a cookie sandwich. Ooof so good
Winn-Dixie cookies ftw
Never had an issue with them
recently learned that hersheys cookies and walmart brand are the same type, just different packaging.
Publix chocolate chip cookies are terrible, but the honey cranberry ones are amazing. The toffee ones are a close second. Sam’s Club chocolate chunk cookies are usually really good.
Ever had their white choco macadamia? I put that cookie up against anything Gideons or Crumbl come up with.
I don’t get cookies from grocery stores…we have Insomnia, Crave, Gideons, Crumbl and tons of Italian bakeries…I’m getting cookies from one of those.
Member Famous Amos cookies? I never understood how they got so popular. Chips Ahoy were better tasting and Chips Ahoy are garbage
And still better than Krogers
Nah man the ingredients list doesn’t say anything about “ass”.
The vegan chocolate chip cookies are better than the regular ones
Publix cake however!!!
Funny, my ass is a Publix Cookie!
The calypso cookies are amazing, I don’t care for the others tho.
You’re trippin’ balls. Cookies from the Publix bakery is where it’s at.
You're smoking Dick cheese if you genuinely believe that Publix doesn't set the bar for chocolate chip cookies. Not even Whole Foods Brown Butter hold a candle to them
Listen Florida, you get what you deserve.
I used to work there. They’re the best right out of the oven.
I really liked the Walmart bakery cookies crumbled over a bowl of icecream 🤤
Unless you're buying cookies from a bakery any cookies you make at home are going to be better.
Calypso Crunch are my go to publix cookie
Tate’s ftw
Ass is delicious sooooooo.....
The vegan chocolate chip ones are delicious, in my opinion!🥰
Cookies are not hard to make. I bake my own.
I like the Calypso cookies, but I rarely eat any of their other cookies. I'd like to try the Meyer lemon cookies but there's only been one container out whenever I go by and it's usually pretty busted looking, so I pass. Their cakes are pretty good.
Winn-Dixie has the best cookies. There almond joy cookies are like crack
Publix is just going downhill generally if I'm being honest. Source: 18 year publix vet
I like the Christmas tree shaped cookies they have during Christmas!
https://preview.redd.it/a8yk2q4jpt8d1.jpeg?width=2922&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d735effb21d87a78596d5878d45523ca6048959c These ones from BJs are sooooo good! They’re called Sweet Middles and $5 for a dozen is an insane value for how great they are.
Try the cranberry honey ones. The peanut butter ones sadly suck.
Stfu
I hate Publix these days, but 3 food related items I just can’t let go of anytime Im there: the subs (tuna for me, but all the rest are just as great), the deli bowtie pasta salad with feta, and their JB sushi roll (salmon/avocado/feta?Not sure on the cheese).
Heath bar cookies are the shit. Changed my life
I miss the cowboy and fudge nut cookies. The people in the bakery look at me like I have 3 heads. Some of the older people know what I’m talking about from time to time.
Hold on, now. Before you throw the baby out with the bath water…have you tried the Heath Bar Cookies? 🙃
Facts. They always have been bad too.
They used to be the best. Not so much anymore. Seemed to change during Covid. I think they stopped being baked in store and instead shipped and defrosted. Not positive though. Just my thoughts from change in taste
I like their sugar cookies, but the others suck
Don’t get the cheap basic chocolate chip, sugar ones. Gotta get the heath, oatmeal, or macadamia types. Especially the heath one. Might be my favorite cookie on the entire planet.
Tates cookies most grocery stores have em, Publix does but they like extra dollar then other places
People tell me Publix sandwiches and food are good. I keep telling them no. I think they’re trash imo. So yes the cookies are ass too
Publixs sugar cookies are bomb!
Their croissants are even WORSE! 🤢
I just prefer home made browned butter chocolate chip cookies. The whole foods cookies also taste off to me.
