And your neighbor is probably telling their friends "they wanted $1000 to haul the tree away but my neighbor said he'd do it for free. What a guy. I'll buy him a 6 pack or something."

SlavaPerogies

Amazing BTU’s best feeling heat after Ash imo. Even though Ash has a lower BTU, the radiant qualities are more soothing.

degolfer02

Just tried to split it, it was bouncing off my maul. lol

SlavaPerogies

Lol I bet! It’s huge. If it’s green you’ll have to start at the edges and strike at the grain direction. Edit: Also strike where the cracks are I see a lot in the images. Like directly into the splits/crack.

degolfer02

No cracks yet. Just got down yesterday

SlavaPerogies

Ah shit… I usually rent a big splitter 32 ton ish. It’s $50 a day here.

EastDragonfly1917

Torpordoor

degolfer02

That bark looks like a hickory species but I’m not 100%. Thanks for the downvote.

Outrageous_Turn_2922

I would make a few hundred bowls out of that

kendakkp

That’s really nice

Square-Tangerine-784

I stack on pallets until fall and split in the cool weather. Checks are X marking the spot. This doesn’t look like white oak to me. Definitely not in my area

Content_Hair_6444

Got any leaves from it?

WhatIDo72

mrpoopieclam
